Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a lovely area walking distance from lovely shops and places to eat and book other excursions. My only complaint would be that the room was quite basic, there was a lot of noise from other AC generators (despite the one in our room being turned off whilst we tried to sleep) and the shower was not hot. The hostel was more so a hotel than anything but was very modern, having been remodeled recently, and everything was extremely clean. They were able to recommend things to do in the area, set up excursions and pay through them, and good eats in the area. The hostel is located just a short walk from the riverside, which had tons of great restaurants and bars- there was also a really neat bakery around the corner called forest bake. The room was always very clean and we always came back to a neat and clean room every time we left. The showers were always nice and hot and no bad smells in the bathroom. There were a few mosquitos in the bathroom though we noticed. Beds were super comfy and the air conditioner worked almost too well. Breakfast was provided each morning, which most mornings was great. The only thing I would suggest for this hostel is to have a better social environment for meeting new people (there is also no age limit as we noticed a lot of older travelers) - we did not meet anyone the entire stay, which we were hoping to but it was alright since we weren’t solo travelers. All in all this was a great stay and would recommend this place for sure!"

- "Literally my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at. Yes, the rooms are small and the walls are thin - it's a Thai building, what would you expect? But it's immaculately clean, the beds are super comfortable, and the owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It's also super duper cute! Stained glass windows and brightly coloured pillows. It's easy walking distance to several places in old town Chiang Mai including the Sunday evening market, close to delicious (and cheap!) food and coffee, and close to convenience stores. It's not directly on the main street so it's quiet - but still easily accessible. Would give Lanna Hostel 6 stars if I could. Love it!"
