Staff were so friendly and helpful and the hotel is in a lovely area walking distance from lovely shops and places to eat and book other excursions. My only complaint would be that the room was quite basic, there was a lot of noise from other AC generators (despite the one in our room being turned off whilst we tried to sleep) and the shower was not hot. But for the price you can’t complain! I would stay here again. Thank you to the kind staff for a pleasant stay. "

They were able to recommend things to do in the area, set up excursions and pay through them, and good eats in the area. The hostel is located just a short walk from the riverside, which had tons of great restaurants and bars- there was also a really neat bakery around the corner called forest bake. The room was always very clean and we always came back to a neat and clean room every time we left. The showers were always nice and hot and no bad smells in the bathroom. There were a few mosquitos in the bathroom though we noticed. Beds were super comfy and the air conditioner worked almost too well. Breakfast was provided each morning, which most mornings was great. The only thing I would suggest for this hostel is to have a better social environment for meeting new people (there is also no age limit as we noticed a lot of older travelers) - we did not meet anyone the entire stay, which we were hoping to but it was alright since we weren’t solo travelers. All in all this was a great stay and would recommend this place for sure!"

A couple of drawbacks, the hostel is situated in a part of the town that is under the flight path so there is regular noise for planes taking off (I did get used to this though). The other thing I found was the bed mattress was really hard and so not all that comfy. These for me were just to details though and otherwise I enjoyed my stay."

- "Literally my favourite hostel I have ever stayed at. Yes, the rooms are small and the walls are thin - it's a Thai building, what would you expect? But it's immaculately clean, the beds are super comfortable, and the owner and staff are extremely friendly and helpful. It's also super duper cute! Stained glass windows and brightly coloured pillows. It's easy walking distance to several places in old town Chiang Mai including the Sunday evening market, close to delicious (and cheap!) food and coffee, and close to convenience stores. It's not directly on the main street so it's quiet - but still easily accessible. Would give Lanna Hostel 6 stars if I could. Love it!"

The design is fantastic, I really like the beds with curtains to provide a private space and the poured concrete sinks. The showers are grand. The balconies are fantastic. The pool is absolutely wonderful, better than the hotel I stayed at in the area that was treble the price, with plenty of chairs around to soak up the sun. The area is nice, with two cute vintage shops next door and a cafe for your flat white in the morning. We have 3 types of rooms
- "Female dorm", there are only 4 beds (2 bunk beds) in a small room with a small space where you can read a book or relax.
- "Mixed Drom with a separated bed" there are 8 beds separated for personal bed.
- "Family dorm with old city view" there are 8 beds for all of you (Private dorm) and the window zone where you can see the old temple and the Golden temple "Doi Suthep".

Every room consists of the Air Con, Free Wifi, Locker, Towel, Bathroom and Toilet, Fan,... but no food and snack in the room!

We keep the deposit for the key 100 Baht and for the towel 100 Baht. If you don't want the towel, it's ok no need to keep the deposit :)

We have a small coffee shop in the lobby area that we choose the coffee from the highest mountain in Thailand and the "Coffee Roaster"
