This listing is for a twin room at Chester St Backpackers, our small, homely hostel in the central city. The two beds in the room are made up and have electric blankets. We are are a long term stay hostel, set up for backpackers who are stopping in Christchurch for a while to work and save for their next stage of travel and students studying nearby. We are just down the road from Ara. You will be part of a shared house overseen by Pipi the cat.

The space
We like to think of Chester St Backpackers as a little oasis in the city. It is in a great central location but is a little world of its own with plenty of colour and quirks, a garden, a sunny verandah, Pipi the cat and recycled furniture. Free WIFI.
