We love the funky feel of this old school converted into a very hip hotel for young people on a tight budget and old codgers like us that want to really experience a city. Finally someone answered and no one actually ever came in person to give me my key but apparently they left my room unlocked with the key in it. So there is not actually 24/7 reception. However, this inconvenience was made up for by the fact that the bar downstairs is the coolest underground bar club scene I’ve ever been to. They had a DJ playing trippy electronic music and locals came to dance all wiggly it was awesome. I hope to visit this bar again if I ever come back to Florence. But on the other hand, if you are a loud sleeper, the bar gets pretty loud and you can hear it in the room. "
