Anker hostel came up on our search but never having stayed in a hostel, I wasn’t sure but it was a really good price and met our needs. We had a basic twin room which had a bathroom and a small kitchenette. No frills but comfortable beds, clean towels and sheets, quiet and clean. Some of the public areas, corridors, etc, were a bit worn but didn’t affect our stay, this is just wear and tear. Check in seemed a bit long winded but the staff were lovely and friendly. - "Rumi as the hostel is called nowadays is on a hill top with magnificent view over the Trondheim fjord. Stunning sunset yesterday ar midnight! The staff is very helpfull. I stayed in a room with 4 bunk beds, luckily the lower one that I asked for. Bath and toilet shared with others. Clean and comfortable. The staff mentioned before my arrival that it would be a 25 minutes walk from the station. Upphill. It was steep. The common room wirh fjord view and free tea/coffee is pleasant. Recommended!"
