Getting around is easy from our chalet. The closest bus stop is just a 10-minute walk, with frequent buses to the Höyfjellcenter every 30 minutes. We also offer free on-site parking for guests who prefer to drive.

Please note, the nearest skiing access is approximately 150 meters away, making it a very convenient location for ski-in/ski-out.
This cabin is located at the top of the mountain / Fageråsen of them all. You go down to Höyfjelllcenter on skis (if there is a lot of snow). Otherwise, there is a ski bus to the area.
The cross-country trails are right at your doorstep. The road it is located on is called Ellefs väg 25/Fageråsen Trysil

In summer the area is known for its many peaks and not far from the cabin is Skogshorn, the most famous mountain in Hemsedal. There are also miles of biking and hiking trails right outside the door. In winter, Hemsedal Ski Center is about 20 minutes away by car and has been voted the best ski center in Norway for years in a row. In the area 400 meters away there are also long and beautiful cross-country trails, both in the forest and in the high mountains, there is something for everyone. There are several cafes along the cross-country trails, so you can take a coffee and waffle break along the way.

Or choose a private room ( 3 and 4), with access to shared spaces: a fully equipped kitchen, a comfy living room, and a bathroom.

The space
Room n. 4:

Located on the first floor, this cozy bedroom features a twin bed, a wardrobe, two bedside tables, and heating for your comfort.
It’s a great choice for couples or solo travelers looking for a peaceful stay.

Common Spaces:

The cabin offers two toilets and two spacious bathrooms with showers. A washing machine and clothes dryer are available in one of them for your convenience.

You’ll find a separate, fully equipped kitchen with a stove, two fridges, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, microwave, and all essential dishes and cookware.

Next to the kitchen is a dining room with a large table, and a cozy living room featuring a TV, two comfortable sofas, a small table with three chairs, and large south-facing windows offering beautiful views.

During your stay
There are a few of us living in the cabin during the season, as we work in the area and take care of the place. We use the kitchen, bathrooms, and other common areas on a daily basis, just like you will.

We’re always happy to help with cleaning, maintenance, or anything you might need for a comfortable stay. Feel free to reach out anytime with questions or for local tips.

We’ll usually be around for check-in and check-out, but if we’re at work, self check-in/check-out is available, and we’ll send you all the details in advance.

Other things to note
If you book just one of the rooms, please note that other guests may be staying in the other rooms, sharing the common areas with you.

The cabin is spacious, so there's plenty of room for everyone to feel comfortable. That said, we aim to keep the atmosphere relaxed and respectful – we don’t fully book all rooms at the same time, unless it’s one large group renting the entire cabin. We always make sure the number of guests stays reasonable to ensure a pleasant experience for all.

The space
Full kitchen to make your own meals. Stove, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, nespresso machine, kettle, toaster, electric whisk, hand blender, waffle maker, raclette grill, fondue pot, etc.

Bathroom with shower, sauna and combined washer & dryer

Terrace with seating and access to barbecue and fire pit. Private charcoal and firewood must be brought.

Stall for storing skis, there is also access to wall table (winter time)

Exterior water hose for washing cycle (summer time)

Sheets and towels must be brought.
Sheets and towels can also be rented from our service partner for NOK 185 per person. Let us know when you book if you need to rent sheets and towels.

The size of the beds; all beds are 2m long.

There are 8 winter decks, 8 summer decks and 12 pillows with different firmness in the cabin.


Mandatory final cleaning is done by our service partner IDP and costs NOK 2 175

Due to safety risk, electric cars are not allowed to be charged from the cabin. On Skistar's website there is information on where charging stations can be found in Trysil

There is no smoking, pets or party allowed.

Guest access
Guests get to the whole cottage as well as a storage room that in winter is used for ski storage and with an embankment table. In summer there are summer furniture and toys that guests are allowed to use.
The grill is in the stall.
In the bathroom there is a grey locked cabinet for our private things as well as a black locked cabinet in the loft/loft.

Other things to note
Before departing, you must:
1) Empty the garbage/sponge in the bathroom, toilet and kitchen and dispose of it in the container located in the area.
2) Wash dishes/wash, it's OK if you fill the dishwasher/dishes and start it before you leave. When our service partner comes and does the final cleaning, they empty the dishwasher/dishes on kitchenware/tire island and put back in cabinets and drawers.
