- "This was a pleasant surprise in terms of service. All of the staff was cordial, and Luan at the front desk went above and beyond to help me out several times. On Luan's excellent recommendation, I took a great " Best of Rio" tour. The neighborhood is very safe, so no worries there. I also enjoyed the breakfast every morning. Another big plus is the generous space allocated for the use of guests outside the rooms. I would definitely stay at Villa 25 again in the future. Muito obrigada!"

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend any underrated than this for a stay in São Paulo. Being such a big city with so many houses spread between buildings, with all it's sophisticated and good quality services, there's no absolute reason for any hostel not to manage to accomodate you with a very close comfort to a hotel style service. - "access from airport is good!" - "Very good " - "Overall this was a basic hostel that worked for me to stay in one night in order to catch a morning flight to the airport. The bed was very comfortable, clean and the staff were helpful. I only know Spanish and English so trying to communicate in Portuguese was a bit tricky but we managed okay. I was surprised by how noisy the traffic was around the hostel. Although, from about midnight to 7 am it quieted down so that was great for sleep. I took the shuttle to the airport in the morning and I really appreciated it. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to get ahold of anyone at the hostel when I called and messaged them in order to get a ride from the airport to the hostel the night before. It was pretty easy to take an Uber for 10 USD so it worked out. Overall, I'd say the quality is about what I would expect for paying 26 USD for a private room at a hostel for one night. Also, the showers had spectacular hot water so that was a plus!"

Receptionist, Gabi, was the absolute sweetest and so helpful! She even took a whole group of us to Pedra do Sal on her day off (original samba location), and met us at the hostel so we wouldn't get lost. Didn't actually go into the pool myself, but it was a nice atmosphere to chill by. Also, the hostel allows guests throughout the grounds before 10pm and afterwards in the front patio. - "." - "Very nice 'hotel'. When we arrived at Abraao, we had to walk a fair bit to the hotel. From the pier it is about 10-15 min walking. At first we were worried about the location, but after I really liked it, is 1 min from the beach, it is in a very quiet but safe area. The hotel itself is very nice and very clean. The staff was very friendly, starting with '''Romina'', a very nice and friendly girl. The cleaning lady, was very good too, she kept our room in very good condition. The rooms are small as well as the bathroom, but they have everything you need. The room has a nice comfortable bed with clean sheets, a desk, a safe, a big smart TV, and of course WiFi. The bathroom is very well designed in my opinion, even though is very small. Every day we went out, on our way back we had a clean room and clean towels.(make sure you leave them on the floor if need changing). The breakfast was very good as well. For a small hotel, it was a well served breakfast and very tasty. I enjoyed my visit to CLH suites and would recommend to everyone, but remember, although is all walking distance on the island, the hotel is not around the corner of all the restaurants. But personally I prefer it."

The coffee is excellent and was a pleasant surprise, given that this is a budget hotel in the middle of a favela. - "I really enjoyed my stay and the property staff made it very easy to check in. I stayed in the pent house room. Very spacious and I was comfortable for the most part. Two negatives which I will point out. During the summer time you have to be careful with mosquito conditions. My second night I couldn’t sleep anything because I was constantly getting attack by mosquitos. I know the windows had to be open because it was extremely hot since there is no air conditioning. Im ok with just a fan but I would have loved a way to keep the mosquitos out without closing all the windows and doors. Since I didn’t sleep well, the next morning I had the children from the school next door outside for recess. This was my second negative. Overall, I would pick this location again because the staff was great and this location fits my personality just fine. Bring mosquito spray and everything else should be ok."
