- "For those wanting to explore North Wales, YHA Pen y Pass is a really good location to stay. " - "In a mountain resort" - "Stayed here overnight with family while on a road trip. Just wanted something cheap and basic but it turned out to be so much more. Our room was basic with bunk beds and a big bathroom. The room was comfortable and fairly quiet but it is a hostel so is basic and you don’t get towels (but it only costs £2.50 to hire one). The reception area has a bar and you can also buy snacks. The staff are very helpful and friendly. You have to pay for parking across the street as there is none around but it’s only cheap. The best part about this place is waking up to the amazing views. We stuck around the next day to take in the breathtaking area and mountain views. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for something cheap and simple with stunning views."

- "A really good place to stay in beautiful surroundings with friendly staff." - "Our overall experience was very good. However on three separate occasions we were awoken by other inconsiderate guests despite the signage asking people to be quiet at certain times. This meant we had to get out of bed in the middle of the night to ask people to be quiet. We understand this isn’t a fault of the hostel but thought we would mention it and suggest maybe a bit more clear signage or make it more clear to people when they check in. Other than this we have no complaints and the place is great, would highly recommend if you are climbing snowdon as it’s not too far to drive, has good facilities and is near a town with supermarkets and restaurants. Room is surprisingly well equipped for the price, smart TV, modern private bathroom, double bed etc. Nice to not be 2 single beds pushed together. Only downside was that the shower had small amounts of mould around the bottom and the walls are a little scuffed so could do with a bit of love, but ultimately you get what you pay for, so value alone gives this place 5 stars."

- "A great little place to stay especially for a big party of up to 20 people. The property and surrounding grounds are really accommodating. Would definitely recommend to another big group" - "Comfortable property with decent facilities, although the dining area was only just big enough for 16 adults. We were there over New Year and the place was well-heated with constant hot water. It would be good to stay there in the summer as the views are stunning and there is plenty of outdoor seating. It is quite isolated and requires a car journey on winding roads to the nearest village for supplies. There are lots of footpaths and walks leading straight from the bunkhouse for keen walkers."

- "A clean, simple room in a beautiful location, right on the end of Saundersfoot harbour. The windows looked right out to sea and the sound of the waves soothed us to sleep. There was a lovely cafe in the centre below where we had a great breakfast." - "The apartment we stayed in was basic but clean and warm (it was a freezing evening). Perfect for what we were looking for, happy dog, happy us!. Nice touch with the tea and coffee making facilities, didn't expect that. Parking in Saundersfoot is pretty pricey but that's the same in most coastal places now. Good food options at numerous pubs/restaurants in town, some which are dog-friendly too. Only a 5 minute walk to the centre so good logistics. Would have been nice if the windows of the apartment had been larger so you could get more of a sea-view. Very good budget option, would definitely use again."

- "Lovely room, great location." - "Room was clean .and ok but to cold through the day and radiator in the room in the wrong place to feel any goodness from it . Found the lack of parking not good for us slow walkers . And cost us exrta £30 for parking . The fan heater in the room was not working . Had we known we would have booked there ,which would have made it better for us oaps . So not for older slow walkers like us . But at least we did try and the lift was a god send. "

- "We were lucky enough to stay here recently. Beautiful location and great base to explore Pembroke and the coastal path. I loved falling asleep listening to the waves and popping down to the bench "out front" with my early morning cuppa and watching the waves crashing against the building. The room was exactly as described on website. No face to face communication but online messaging very efficient. Would highly recommend."

- "The room was spacious and bright, spotlessly clean, access was easy and location great and surprisingly quiet. The towels, linen, tea and coffee facilities and shower gel being provided was a lovely touch, however there was no toilet paper, which wasn’t ideal! For a one night stay I think the check in and out times could’ve been much better, a 10am checkout when you can’t get in the room until 4 seems harsh, hence not an overall 5 star review. We would stay again, the good definitely outweighed the slight criticisms."
