- "What a great find this was.... Originally I was looking for a nice hotel for the night as a little treat with my partner. Due to the Take That performing at Swansea.Com Stadium the same night. Hotel prices were sky high, nearly all had over doubled in price, some asking £400+. Than out of the blue I find this beauty..... Absolutely stunning views as far as the eye can see all round. Hot tub was amazing heated by a log burner. Comfortable seating area with a fire pit and bbq. The lake was massive in the centre was a platform you could access by a bridge. Which had a Igloo dome tent you could use. (Nice touch) The Yacht was basic but very comfortable. All in all it was great stay and will be booking to stay again. For the same price you would normally pay to stay in a nice hotel you can get all the above...... I know which one I'd be choosing......"

- "This chalet is just perfect, everything about the stay I could't fault. As it is the only chalet on the property you get complete privacy and your own field for activities with a lovely pond to walk around too. - "A very different experience, a shame it was November so the weather wasn't great, but still a great experience. Would definately recommend flip flops for the bus stop showers, as that floor was a tad painful. And a shame the shower with a view had suffered in the last freeze, would be great in summer. Animals including pigs, piglets, sheep, and Alpacas were walking around outside our accommodation which the children absolutely loved. The accomodation was beautiful and cosy. - "Locality of redberth gardens, staff are amazing, loved the alpacas and pigs that come up to you in the morning. Only wished we booked the animal tour earlier on as the kids loved the animals. If you want a change of scenery from the animals, and ready for a day of adventure then head on over to Heatherton World Of Activities. Only a 6 minute drive from the cottage you will be ready for any challenges the day may bring. Whether its winning your way to first place in go carting, or showing how its done at the crazy golf you definitely wont get tired of competing here. For those quieter days of exploring Pembrokeshire, why not head on over to Saundersfoot and taste the fresh sea food they have on offer. Using the outside space is encouraged with the fire pit to toast marshmallows, BBQ facilities, eat Al fresco, watch a movie, jump in the jacuzzi, friendly farm animals etc. the log burner is a nice touch for those chilly mornings. The only request would be for a pool skimmer for the jacuzzi. They are only £5 off Amazon and would help in removing the insects from the jacuzzi that fall from the nearby trees. An option could be to consider a gazebo to shelter rain/sun."

Sink your teeth into the Black Mountains from Brecon Beacons Bell Tents… this scenic bell tent site is on the bank of the river Grwyne in the national park, so mornings could look like a bacon sandwich and brew by the riverside or fishing along the two-mile stretch.

It’s remote here with the river, woodlands and meadows, but there’s a barbecue and firepit with a well-stocked woodpile to keep the evenings lively enough and a public footpath that leads to summits in the Black Mountains or the Grwyne Valley.

When you’re after a cuppa post-hike, just slide into the covered kitchen outdoors, where there’s a gas cooker and electric coolbox. The tent has a hot shower and toilet, a double bed with a memory foam mattress, a double futon and a tent stove.

Your area is fenced off, not to keep you in, but to keep the livestock out.

Perhaps follow the riverbank down to Llangenny village (15 minutes’ walk), where there’s a country pub with fine ales and good grub, or venture to Crickhowell (five minutes’ drive) for pubs, cafés, independent shops and a butchers… or Abergavenny (15 minutes) for that, and markets too. Otherwise, places deliver food locally – the site will bring it to your tent upon arrival.

There’s parking by the site for those with four-wheel drives and another car park a short walk away (get a lift in the tractor if you have lots of luggage).

The ethos at Embrace the Space is neatly summed up in its name. With just three yurts in six acres there’s certainly plenty of space to embrace. There’s at least 30 metres between pitches and each yurt is a minimum of six metres across so there’s no chance of feeling cramped. But there’s one more stat that’s got us all excited about this place – and it’s a slightly more obscure one. The site is about a mile and a half from the nearest streetlight. That means you can embrace another type of space: the dark, dark skies above Carmarthenshire which are punctuated by more stars than you’re likely to have seen in a long time.

The yurts, one a traditional Mongolian design and the other two more modern European versions, each have a skylight which means you can see the night sky whilst lying in your bed. The more traditional spot for stargazing, of course, is outside. Choose from a seat around the campfire and one in the warm waters of the custom-made outdoor hot tub. Owner Steve has certainly made it easy to Embrace the Space and in addition to that tub there’s a flushing toilet, a hot-water shower and an undercover camp kitchen for every yurt. Towels and bedding are provided and an electricity supply powers a fridge in the kitchen and a TV in each yurt. The circular walls don’t let you forget that you’re glamping but the wooden floors and furniture give the feel of a holiday cottage. The European Luxury Yurts even have double glazing which together with insulated walls and a log burner, make them ideal for stays in all seasons (it’s open March-December).

You’re welcome to use all of the site’s six acres which feature play equipment for kids and a viewing platform which gives a vista across 20 miles of Carmarthenshire countryside. Those miles are the ideal place for road-cycling and walking. Within them you can visit the attractive market town of Newcastle Emlyn, six miles away, and Brechfa Forest for more walking and mountain biking too. The closest beach, at Poppit Sands, is about 19 miles away and if it’s coastline you want there’s New Quay and Newport, also on the Ceredigion coast, and Carmarthenshire’s Pendine sands a similar distance south.

Hiker, biker or both? Walk this way. Gwynedd’s Torrent Walk Campsite and Bunkhouse is a mecca for mountain bikers and walkers, and has plenty of other activities to get stuck into nearby…

For walkers, the Torrent Walk is only 500 metres from the site. Cadair Idris and its three trails can be tackled a short drive away. If you're aiming for Wales' tallest summit, then take the 50-minute drive to Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) too. Keen bikers can try out Dyfi Bike Park or Coed-y-Brenin, which are both within 20 minutes' drive of the site.

Those with kids might want to pay a visit to the underground adventure at King Arthur's Labyrinth (15 minutes' drive) or the slate caverns at Zip World Llechwedd and Bounce Below (35 minutes). For watersports, head to Bala, 25 minutes' drive away, or for rides on the Welsh Highland Railway, aim for Porthmadog. At Corris Mine Explorers, 15 minutes' drive away, you can all take a tour of an abandoned Victorian slate mine too.

Back at base, Torrent Walk Campsite and Bunkhouse is surrounded on all sides by woodland, farmland and mountain views, with pitches on a sheltered, level field. Site facilities include a toilet and shower block, disabled facilities, washing machines, tumble dryers, fridges, freezers, a microwave and mobile charging facilities. There’s also a power wash for bikes and equipment, and the Torrent Walk team can store your bike for you if needed.

For stocking up, the garage just up the road sells essentials and camping gas. A shop and café are within five minutes' walk of the site. Otherwise, a small supermarket and a wide range of shops are in the village of Dolgellau, a mile and a half away. Cooking your own dinner? Campfires are allowed, but all the materials must be purchased on site.

Looking for a dog-friendly beach day? Fairbourne beach and Barmouth beach are dog-friendly at some times of the year.

Location were great only 10 mins away from our destinated place to see (hooton farm, the longest station name, alpaca farm, snowdonia railway station). You can park your car beside. We love the interior of the tent, very comfortable with the wxtra pillows and throws. You get plates, bowl, glass, thongs for bbq, lighter, trash bin, private bbq pit and water heater. The sky that night was really clear we could see the beautiful ✨"
