- "We stayed for four nights. The very nice lady that owns the cottage, Nesta, had made cake for out arrival. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The upstairs bathroom has a bath, downstairs a shower. Kitchen was very well equipped with oven, hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and there was a utility room with a freezer and washing machine. If there was something missing, we didn't need it. Living room was comfortable with a couple of settees and a log burner - it wasn't cold, so we didn't try it but there was wood and firelighters and matches. A cosy retreat for 2, Loveston Barn is a pretty little stone cottage with There is also a separate utility room with freezer laundry facilities adjoining the cottage. The cottage also has WiFi and central heating so is warm throughout the year and there is lots of space for parking.

Little Loveston is on the edge of the National Park and has a central location which makes it ideal for visiting all of Pembrokeshires coast, countryside and attractions. There are walking and ordnance survey maps in the cottage, we also have a Games Room with pool and table tennis.

Situated down a very quiet lane to the sea, this delightful, traditional fisherman's cottage lies in the heart of the charming LLwyngwril village, five minutes walk from the beach on Cardigan Bay, within the Snowdonia National Park. This is an ideal spot, whether you are looking for an active holiday or just need to relax.........or a bit of both!

The space
Upstairs, there are 2 double bedrooms (one with a view of the sea) with wardrobe and drawer space and oil-filled electric panel heaters. There is also a separate toilet and washbasin. Downstairs, the living/dining room, with beamed ceiling and multi-fuel stove, leads into the modern and well equipped kitchen. There is also a wet room with shower and washbasin. Outside there is a relaxing seating area, which is is a real sun trap, where you can enjoy your meals al fresco.

Other things to note
Please note that, whilst our little fisherman’s cottage does not have central heating,, the multi-fuel burner in the living room, coupled with the oil-filled radiators, can make the house cosy and warm very quickly in cold weather.
Whilst we do have excellent WiFi in the cottage, the mobile phone signal in the village is intermittent and not to be relied upon.
Please be aware that our cottage is one of the oldest in the village, with wooden beams, where small spiders (the sneaky little things) can be adept at hiding, so we cannot guarantee that there won’t be an occasional cobweb.

Cattle Shed Cottage is situated in the rural village of Molleston and just two miles from the pretty market town of Narberth, with its delis, homeware and foodie shops, and just 15 minutes’ drive away from stunning beaches and seaside towns.

Cattle Shed is the perfect family base from which to explore everything Pembrokeshire has to offer. Bursting with Welsh seaside charm and beautifully furnished Cattle Shed is fully equipped to make your stay stress free and as comfortable as possible. Cattle Shed's name is taken from the original use of the stone outbuilding and it's layout of rooms off a long corridor. With lots of character and celebrating all things Pembrokeshire the décor is designed to help you plan your time in Pembrokeshire, with photos of local sights and maps decorating the walls and a welcome pack brimming with ideas of places to visit, eat at and discover!

INSIDE CATTLE SHED

Opening into the hallway with hooks for your coats and a wellie stand outside for any muddy boots after exploring!

Off the hallway is a bright and airy family bathroom with fully size bath and rainfall shower, with plenty of hot water to help you relax and unwind. We provide fluffy white towels and waffle bath robes for the whole family to ensure maximum comfort!

A master double bedroom with a traditional style metal bed, feather duvets, pillows and welsh blankets for a great night’s sleep after all that fresh air.

The bunk room is full of fun with its L-shaped bunk beds and seaside character. Beds are made up with feather pillows and duvets for an extremely comfortable night.

Due to the configuration of the double room we can't put a cot in there, however there is room for one of our lovely wooden cots in the bunk room if needed.

At the end of hallway is an open plan living area with fully equipped kitchen to help you cook up a storm. Including: induction hob and electric oven, all the utensils you could need, microwave, stick blender and a Nespresso machine. We set you up with everything you need to make teas and coffees on arrival so you can have a refreshing cuppa before you head out to explore. The dining area is set up for 4 people.

Comfortable lounge area with three-seater sofa, arm chair and floor cushions. The TV has freeview channels, streaming apps and built in DVD player and there is a DAB radio so you can relax in comfort. We have books about the local area, DVDs and boards games. A cosy spot to unwind and reminisce about your day’s adventures.

OUTSIDE SPACE

Outside the front door is a bistro table and chair set perfect for a morning coffee or evening glass of wine. The cottages have a communal garden set up with picnic tables looking across the fields where you can eat alfresco and are welcome to set up a barbeque or have a game of swing ball!

New for February 2024 we have a outdoor heated barn area with tables, chairs and cushions to enjoy a morning coffee or relax into the evening. There's a tipi for children to play in and a play area to keep everyone entertained.

We have off-street gated parking outside the cottages.

Washfield Cottages has a communal laundry with free-to-use washer/dryers, a sink to wash down your muddy boots or sandy beach gear, secure bike storage, hanging space for wetsuits and outerwear as well as an outside hose for washing down wetsuits, surf boards etc.

Visit Wales have awarded us with their Walking Friendly and Cycling Friendly accreditation, because of all the facilities we have to help Walkers and Cyclists enjoy Pembrokeshire.

EXTRAS

We welcome well behaved dogs in Cattle Shed. We provide dog blankets, towels and water sprays in the laundry so you can wash your dog off after exploring. Pembrokeshire is a dog walkers paradise!

You can reserve a classic games console which will all be set up and ready for you stay!

At Washfield Cottages we know from personal experience that travelling with children means a lot of luggage! To take the stress out of a family holiday we aim to provide everything you need. We have wooden cots and bedding, sterilisers, stick blenders, baby baths, highchairs, black out blinds, changing mats, baby towels and most importantly video baby monitors so you can enjoy an evening glass of wine overlooking the Pembrokeshire countryside. On booking you will receive an online form to customise your stay to suit you.

A characterful and cosy family cottage. Built in the early 1800s, Frondeg retains its original charm but with modern comforts. Frondeg is on a quiet street in the heart of Newport village and is ideal for couples and small families. The beautiful Nevern estuary, beaches and Pembrokeshire Coastal Path are all close by.
Friday-Friday bookings only during school summer holidays.

The space
Frondeg is on a quiet side street in Newport. With its sunny back garden, it is a peaceful retreat while only a few minutes’ walk from all the shops and local amenities. It sleeps a maximum of 4 adults - in two double bedrooms.

There is WiFi. Please note that phone reception is not reliable inside the property.

The original cottage dates back to the early 1800s and we have maintained its traditional charm. Frondeg has been in the family for three generations and is a much loved home.

The inglenook fireplace has a wood-burning stove that is very cosy in winter.

It is all on one level, except for a small step into the kitchen (leading to bathroom and second bedroom.)

Newport (Trefdraeth) is a little gem, nestled in the Pembrokeshire National Park at the edge of the stunning Preseli Mountains. Frondeg is the perfect base to explore the area, relax on sunny days or embrace the elements on wilder ones!

There is no washing machine. The 'Washday' launderette in the village is a 2 minute walk. You can also hire beach towels from there.

There is a wood-burning stove and we can advise where to buy logs and kindle locally.

Glyn Saron is a gorgeous former Preachers residence, with woodburner, enclosed garden and downstairs bedroom & bathroom, attached to a lovely 19th century chapel.

It sleeps 6, consists of a large kitchen/diner fitted with all modern appliances.

Enjoy stunning rural and mountain views in this lovely old village location and just a 10 min drive to Tywyn with a sandy beach and numerous shops etc.

The space
This delightful stone cottage has recently been refurbished and tastefully decorated to a very high standard, whilst retaining all its historic character features along with the comforts of modern living including WIFI.

Glyn Saron consists of a large kitchen/diner fitted with all modern appliances. The large cosy lounge has a log burner for winter night by the fire side.

It has three bedrooms; one double, one twin and a bedroom with bunk beds.

There is a secure, sunny courtyard & garden with a wood store, loungers and patio furniture, for 'alfresco living'.

Downstairs:

Kitchen/Diner: Includes, electric double oven, dishwasher, washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, all the necessary cooking utensils and a large pine dining table and 6 chairs.

Separate Lounge: A log burner provides the central feature in this room and gives some extra heat on those chilly evenings, logs are provided.

There is also a flat screen TV with SKY TV, DVD player and small selection of DVDs. There is also a small selection of board games, sit and enjoy it all on a comfy 3 piece suite sofa plus other armchairs.

Bedroom 3: This is a twin bedded room downstairs, with a pine wardrobe and chest of draws.

Bathroom: The bathroom is downstairs and has a toilet, wash basin and shower bath with a great power shower. It also has a heated towel rail and under floor heating.

Upstairs:

Master bedroom: This is on the first floor and has a pine double bed, pine wardrobe and chest of draws and a flat screen TV on the wall.

Bedroom 2: This is also on the first floor and has a set of bunk beds and suitable wardrobe and storage space over the stairs.

All heating is by electric storage heaters, which are inclusive in the price. All the beds have man made filled fibre pillows and quilts, all bed linen is provided. Bath and hand towels are also provided for each person staying in the cottage. Tea towels and beach towel are NOT provided so please bring your own.

Outside:

The cottage is located in a very quiet lane off the main road into the village. It’s just a short walk to the village where there is a a good and eatery plus a village shop. Just down the lane are public footpaths that will take you to the banks of gorgeous Dysynni River. Glyn Saron has a sunny, private & secure courtyard garden area with a patio, barbeque area and shed.

Off road parking is available at the side of the cottage for just one car, any other vehicles will have to park in the lane. Shed storage: There is a large secure shed is available to store bikes, boots, fishing and boating gear, in the shed also is a 2nd freezer if needed.

Other things to note
Short breaks when available out of the main school holidays: Monday- Friday 4 nights & Friday-Monday 3 nights. Arrivals from 4.00 pm vacate by 10.00 am.

Where a one week minimum applies, our changeover day is FRIDAY.

Prices shown are in pounds sterling per week, inclusive of energy, wifi, heating, bedding & towels. Please bring your own beach towels.

Maximum of two dogs are welcome with a £35 per dog surcharge applying. Sorry, no puppies.

Menai Gardens
With access to mature gardens and a path to the beach at the bottom of the garden, you know you are going to relax at Menai Gardens. Stop awhile and take in the spectacular views of the Menai Strait and Snowdonia beyond. Breathe.

The space
Menai Gardens wishes you to relax and an annex it may be but in name only. A private drive and entrance ensures your privacy but it is lovely to know the owners are nearby for the local knowledge you may wish to hear. You can relax here as there is nothing small about Menai Gardens. A large main bedroom with a bed of kingsized proportions grabs the views for you. Open the doors to the terrace and sit out as the sun rises or the moon takes over. Peace abounds.

Choose to cook in the fully equipped kitchen or light the bbq to cook locally caught fish. Or skip this part and head into Beaumaris to be thoroughly spoilt - cooking is not for everyone.

Before you go out, take your time and draw a deep bath - lie back and forget the troubles of every day living.

A large sitting room with views to write home about allows you a sofa each. Or should you wish for friends to join you, a sofa bed becomes a bed for sleepy heads. The dining table takes pride of place and makes the most of those amazing views. Try and concentrate on your morning paper by all means - we challenge you!

Penmon and beyond
Dogs will be in heaven at Menai Gardens as there is no delay to walks. The car is not needed should you wish to truly relax. Heavenly Penmon is on your doorstep with the Anglesey Coastal Path leading you to pebbled beaches and views of Puffin Island. Stop awhile on the shores as you stroll to Penmon Priory, drop a coin in the wishing well and search for doves from years gone by. The Pilot House Cafe is a dog-friendly treasure of delight with home baked cakes, lunches and a log burning stove to warm you should the dogs allow. How easy can life be?

Nearby is White Beach, part of a nature reserve with nesting birds and perfect for wild swimming. Join the Anglesey Coastal Path to Red Wharf Bay from here - a day trip worth packing a picnic lunch for.

Walk up to Aberlleiniog Castle and onto Llangoed, enjoying this nature reserve as well. Home to the Massey sisters, you can see why these artists loved living here.

Once relaxed, and ready to face the car again, it's an easy drive to the Georgian coastal town of Beaumaris with shops and restaurants aplenty. A castle to explore and a gaol to ensure you feel grateful that you have been good! History enthusiasts will be enthralled by all they see. Shopaholics and searchers of keepsakes will be smiling happily all day. Feast on Redboat icecream, locally made and coveted by all.

Access to Cysgod Bach is all on level ground with one step up into the property. The floors are solid oak and all on one level. Shower En-suite.

PARKING - There is parking for one car at the front of the property in front of the living room/kitchen window.

The property is suitable for people with limited mobility but please feel free to phone for a more in depth description. Assisted wheelchair users may be able to manage once in the property if they have some mobility. The bedroom is not quite big enough to use a wheelchair. The lounge dining area is fine for wheelchair use. Please contact me for further information.

Leading onto the garden is a large modern conservatory with sofa and dining table. The patio has tables and chairs where you can chill out and relax. We also have free Wi-Fi. We can store your bikes and trailed boats securely. We can dry your soggy clothes and boots. In fact you are guaranteed to feel spoilt here!

We live in the Snowdonia National Park. Llanfor is just 3/4 mile outside of the town of Bala where we have the largest natural lake in Wales. Bala is a great centre for all sorts of activities as well as being central for touring the area. See the Visit Bala website for all the local information.
