It's in a perfect location for exploring this wonderful region: Zipworld is moments away, Anglesey is 30 mins away and Snowdon 20 mins away.

Sorry but no dogs!

The space
Tŷ Pérson is our original Welsh slateworker's cottage in the Braichmelyn area of Bethesda and just by Snowdonia National Park. We have modernised and extended it while seeking to retain as many original features as possible.

It is moments from Zipworld and from the Carneddau mountains. Snowdon itself is a 20 minute drive away, and you are only a short distance by car from Bangor town centre and Anglesey. There is a regular bus service between Bangor and Bethesda and the nearest train station is in Bangor.

The high street of Bethesda is about 10 minutes walk and has a range of pubs, small supermarkets and takeaways. Tesco is open daily until 11pm.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one upstairs with double bed and ensuite showeroom and WC and one downstairs with two single beds.* Please note that one of the original elements of the cottage is a low entrance to and low ceilings in the downstairs bedroom (175cm from floor to ceiling). * There is a living room with 2 armchairs and sofa, a modern kitchen and a further shower room and WC. The living room has a woodburning stove and there are modern electric radiators throughout. The shower rooms have electric towelrails. There is a small TV with Chromecast and fast unlimited fibre broadband. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and electric oven with induction hob and provision of basic equipment and crockery. Outside there is a simple garden. Parking is on the street outside the property, but please note that James Street is very narrow and it may be easier to park in surrounding streets. Out of courtesy to our neighbours we request that you only park outside our cottage and not in front of other properties in the street.

Please note that we do not accept pets at the property and that we are not able to include supplies for the wood burner within the nightly rate.

Other things to note
please note pets are not permitted at this property

Please note : the steps upstairs are steep, please see pictures.

Other things to note
The doorways are low, as are the ceilings upstairs, so please watch your head and the stairs are quite steep (see pictures). The cottage has hot water throughout, apart from bathroom sink.

Ceunant Bach, couples cottage with hot tub
Cottage
Gwynedd

In the fabulous Nant Ffrancon Valley, surrounded by countryside and beautiful mountain views you will find Ceunant Bach. Relax in the hot tub and enjoy the fabulous view or snuggle up inside, in front of the log burner with a nice glass of wine.

The space
Ceunant Bach was originally a small shepherd’s retreat, it has been lovingly and compassionately converted into what you see before you today: this fantastic couples getaway, with a bedroom, filled with a kingsize bed. There is a large lounge/diner with cosy log-burner fire, a pretty and well-appointed kitchen and a beautiful shower room.

The outside space is perhaps even more impressive. Firstly, there is parking with enough space for two cars, then there is a cottage garden with garden furniture and to the rear of the house you will find a small, private patio area complete with private hot tub and lawned space, which allows you to take in the absolutely majesty of the surrounding mountains in style. There are bird boxes, feeders and the occasional red squirrel - recently reintroduced in the nearby forest on the outskirts of Bethesda - all of which add to the calm and serenity of the surroundings.

Facilities include a hot tub, high speed internet access via WiFi, smart TV, washing machine, microwave, under counter fridge/freezer, electric oven and hob, log burner and secure bike storage.

Guest access
Guests will have the entire cottage available to them exclusively for the duration of the reservation, including the outdoor area and hot tub. Note that the property it entirely private but is semi-detached so does share a wall with the adjoining property and it’s residents.

Other things to note
Bed linen is provided but guests are required to bring their own towels.

A basket of logs will be supplied which should last for approx. 2 nights. Thereafter, logs and kindling can be purchased at the local garage.

Amenities:

Iron • Clothing storage • Washer • Bed linens • Hair dryer • TV • Hot water • Hangers • Cleaning products • Mountain view

Large Cottage in Snowdonia - Ty Capel Saron
Cottage
Gwynedd

Ty Capel Saron embodies everything beautiful about North Wales. You can feel the years of history in the former stone chapel which the owners have transformed into a cozy, welcoming self-catering cottage where 10 people can comfortably sleep (12 if you use the living room futon sofa). A great base for walks or to bring the whole family together, not close to pubs/restaurants/shops, but close to Nature! And Tesco delivers groceries if you book in advance, and pubs/restaurants are in Bangor

The space
There are 4 bedrooms on the first floor, as well as a washroom with a sink, toilet and bathtub.
On the ground floor there is an open plan living room and dining room and large, well stocked kitchen. There is also a 'snug'- previously a tv room but now acts as a 5th bedroom if needed. The living room has a bespoke double futon sofa, so two more people can sleep there if needed.
There is a small garden, a firepit, some custom oak benches and some wooden chairs to enjoy the garden on a sunny day. We don't have a barbeque.
A small stream lies at the bottom of the garden, slippery rocks so be careful. But nice to wash your face in the morning for a natural wake up!
