Walking and cycling trails can be found nearby at Capel Curig, Llanberis, Cwm Idwal, whilst the tourist attractions of Snowdon Mountain Railway and the National Slate Museum are popular. There are many seaside and coastal towns/villages a short drive away including Caernarfon, Anglesey and Beaumaris.
