- "Really enjoyed our stay, room 217 was quite small when both of us were getting ready to go out so not sure if it could be called a superior room?" - "The building had a lot of character. With the high ceilings and open reception area, it was very grand and welcoming. The stairs and hallway were nice and wide and there was a lift available. The room was well set up, with adequate space. Our stay was at the beginning of January. There was a lot of condensation on the windows which meant you couldn't see out of them. The wall between our room and one next to it seemed paper thin. Our neighbours were just talking normally late into the night but the sound reverberated into our room as though they were there with us. This meant we didn't get to sleep till the early hours. The next morning whilst their room was being cleaned, a glance into it revealed that both headboards were against the same wall. Breakfast was great with good options. The staff in the restaurant were very friendly and professional. All in all we had a good stay which could have been better with being able to get to sleep earlier. "

An old style column radiator which I didn't need as it was warm outside. The view from the window overlooked the car park at the rear of the property with trees and the residential street behind. Overall, a really nice, comfortable room. The toilet was very close to the wall, my knees could touch it when sitting, but it was a small ensuite. The buildings in Harrogate are old and beautiful. People didn't need large rooms back then. You come to Harrogate for it's period charm. "

Walk in through the main entrance up one flight of stairs to our first floor flat.

The flat has a small hall. To the right is the sitting room/ dining area. This includes a large built in wardrobe for storing suitcases in and hanging clothes. To the right of the wardrobe is the bunk bedroom.

Straight ahead from the flat entrance is the main bedroom with built in wardrobes & drawers.

To the left of the flat entrance is the kitchen which has everything you need to cook, eat & drink. Also there is a washer/ dryer & microwave. There is a 2 cup cafetière and also Colombian coffee sachets which fill it. Salt & pepper & Suger sachets are in the drawer. Also the bathroom which has a bath and the shower has reasonable power - an essentials pack is included containing shower gel and shampoo

The accomodation comprises of two separate bedrooms t and a bathroom. As the bedrooms are situated at the top of my family house, you will need to climb two sets of stairs. There is a double bed in both rooms and so the accomodation is quite flexible , providing a comfortable space for a couple, a single person, two friends, family members or work collegues who are travelling together but need separate rooms. The bathroom is on the same floor as the bedrooms and is for guests sole use.

The space
Previous guests have commented that the rooms are very quiet and they have not been disturbed in any way. There are two bedrooms available. One has a small double bed, the second room has a double bed. In the bedrooms is there is wardrobe, or hanging space and drawer space for your personal items. There is a reasonable desk area which is useful if you need a space to work from and wifi is available . Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the rooms.
The bathroom comprises of a shower and toilet. Clean towels are always provided and there is a small selection of toiletries available if you find you have forgotten something.

During your stay
I work part time but am available most days. Some of my adult children live in the house too but they are quite independent. There is also a dog (Willow) and a cat who are part of my household

Other things to note
The property is extremely conveniently situated . Although a couple of miles from the centre of Harrogate, there are frequent bus services (approx every 5 minutes) that will take you to the centre of Harrogate or to Knaresborough. There is also a train station close by that will take you to either Leeds or York, both of these stations also being major hubs for onward connecting services to London, Edinburgh etc

Travellers will find a cosy attic room with a comfortable beds, ensuite bathroom and study desk. There is a kettle for hot drinks. There is a small fridge in an adjoining space for guests' cold food storage. No cooking facilities. Close to the Yorkshire Showground, hospital, local buses and railway stations. Town centre easily accessible. This room is good for conferences and overnight business stays , language students and short breaks in a lovely spa town.

Double room available with shared bathroom and living space. The house is located a twenty minute walk away from the town centre, just ten minutes to the Conference Centre.

Please read the full description, the house needs some renovation and is far from perfect. What it is though is a happy, welcoming, safe space where I hope you will be very comfortable 😃

The space
The room is a double with ample wardrobe space in a shared house. Whilst the house isn't perfectly finished and is a bit tired in places, it is clean and tidy, with lots of shared, friendly space.

Guest access
Guests will have access to the bathroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. There is sky TV in the living room, along with Netflix and other streaming services and there is fast wifi throughout. Guests may also use the washer/dryer.

During your stay
I live in the house so will be around to answer any questions however I do have a very busy life so can't guarantee I will always be there, always available on the phone though.

Other things to note
The house is on a busy road so can be noisy, the room is at the back of the house though, but bring ear plugs if you are sensitive to noise. I also have another bedroom which may be occupied by other guests.

We live in a large house in a very nice area near centre Harrogate. The host kitchen is on the ground floor. Guests' kitchen on 1st floor. This is an attic room. guests' kitchen has all the basic facilities including hops,microwave, toaster, fridge, kettle and etc. Simple breakfast. Landry room has washing machine for long stay guests only. Both guests' bathroom and kitchen are good sizes.

A light and airy single room in a family home, situated on the southside of Harrogate, within walking distance of the town center, fabulous pubs and restaurants. 1.2 miles from Harrogates Conference Centre, Royal Hall, and all tourist attractions. Only a 5 minute walk to the bus stop with a regular bus service to Leeds, Ripon and Leeds Bradford airport. 1.2 miles to Harrogate train Station, 1.5 miles from the Yorkshire Show Ground. A lovely bright airy single room at the front of the house, dressing table that can be used as a desk, good sized wardrobe for storage, hairdryer.
