The kitchen is very well equipped if you are cooking on your break however just over the garden wall is the Mayfield Hotel . We decided to treat ourselves to the carvery which was fantastic value and hit the spot . There is also a soft play in the hotel so the kids can have fun whilst you are dining. Backgarden is small but completely enclosed so if you have a dog with you it’s completely safe to potter out there . We enjoyed our stay so much we fully plan to book again in the summer . Open light double-height ceiling studio apartment. This spacious flat has a fully equipped kitchen area with a fridge, oven, hob and microwave, a dining table that comfortably seats four people and a seating area with two large couches.

Incorporates its own private bathroom with a bath and electric shower. A space-saver alternator staircase leads to a mezzanine balcony housing a king-sized bed with a firm orthopaedic mattress (restricted height)

Our cozy interesting space is sympathetically designed to reflect the old building in which it sits. If your preference is for perfectly smooth plaster walls and luxury finish marble bathrooms it’s probably not for you.

Ecological credentials. We have tried very hard to minimise our carbon footprint. The Barn incorporates a 7.2kw solar array and central heating is via air source heat pumps which maintain a steady 21-22°C ambient temperature and generates the hot water. Extra blankets are also provided. Seasonally appropriate clothing is advised.
