- "We've stayed in several caravans over the years and this is the best one we've ever stayed in. Lots of space, comfy sofa, comfy double bed, bathroom with shower AND bath. Full size fridge freezer with.oven and microwave plus a wine chiller. Honestly it's so good there's part of me that doesn't want to review it so well because I want to keep it a secret! There is a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a bunk bed with a double on the bottom and single on the top. It's quite close to the main amenities but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet on a night. WiFi is included and speeds were good enough for us to watch Sky Go via my laptop connected to the TV. Single bedroom also has a TV with soundbar. TV is Android and has Netflix and Prime built in. We had reason to communicate via text with Sarah the owner on a couple of occasions whilst there and responses were swift and helpful. Really couldn't be more complimentary and are already planning to visit again."

- "This was a different kind of stay me & my partner have ever tried. For a first time we both really enjoyed the change & stay. It was nice not to rely on electricity & do things a bit old fashionable. It makes you appreciate the home comforts back home but also it forces you to put your phones/tablets down & enjoy the little things in life. The scenery is amazing on every corner of the camp. Bruce & the family we're very welcoming & great hosts. I would definitely go back & I'm even thinking to book in the summer for a return visit. So I'd like to thank Bruce & the family for the experience & hopefully we'll see you in the near future. Regards Gareth"

- "From arriving on site, to leaving on the last day, it was an amazing experience. I've never done glamping before, but after this experience, I will most definitely be doing it again. The communication from Bruce was brilliant, even down to the directions when coming on to site. Everything was explained fully and the tour of the site was informative (even if it was blowing a gale and pouring it down). Everything was within easy reach of the wagon, which also came well equipped. Chester (my cocker spaniel) loved the open spaces and had ample room to explore and stretch his legs. The site was extremely dog friendly and we didn't even scratch the surface on all the walks we could have done. Dalby was a mere 5 minute drive away to the edge of the forest which again gave ample walks to take Chester on. Storm Amy had taken its toll on the surrounding area, but this didn't stop us having a great time. The small selection of goodies were gratefully received, and the bacon was enjoyed along with the free range eggs which had been laid that morning (not by Bruce might I add). I would highly recommend booking to stay here, and I will definitely be booking to go again in the future!"

- "Facilities are terrible, there is a reason there is no information or pictures detailed on them, beware! THIS IS NOT GLAMPING! There is not a private bathroom as stated, the private element is actually a shack with a compostable toilet for your wagon. The washing facilities consist of 1 cold water tap, shared by the entire site and used for cooking, cleaning, washing, drinking, etc. and the most horrendous shower I've ever seen, essentially a single old portaloo type unit which has a piece of carpet hung up in front of it with a slice down it to enter and a sign to let people know you are in it! thats effectively the door and safety you have showering! its also the only running hot water on site, and like the tap, shared by 20+ people. There are some positives, the wagon, the view, camp fire to toast marsh mallows under the stars, the host Bruce took time to show us where things were and how to light lamps, welcome note on a barrel next to our wagon, handwritten letter welcoming us and a few treats to enjoy during our stay. The effort made as hosts is nice but doesn't overcome the non-existent facilities. This is NOT glamping! we have stayed on a number of glamping sites with facilities, ranging from ones with private wash rooms for each accommodation to the most basic camp sites with small communal shower and toilet blocks shared by bigger sites and have to say that these were the worst facilities we've come across. We cut our stay short after 1 night."

The lodge is a Tingdene, which is 40 feet long and 20 feet wide. It has 3 bedrooms. Two are doubles with TVs (one of which is an en-suite, with shower). The third bedroom is a twin. There is a bathroom with bath and overhead shower. The living (sofa with 2 recliners, TV and fire), dining and kitchen (oven hob and extractor, fridge/freezer, dish washer and microwave) area is all open plan. From the living area there is a set of double doors opening out to the back and a private decked area, with views towards the North York Moors. There is also a hot tub and outdoor furniture in the decked area. There is space outside to park 2 cars. WiFi available.
The property is located within a private gated development, bordering the North Yorkshire Moors, and situated on the edge of the pretty village of Burniston. There is a village shop, and several local country pubs nearby.
It is a 10 minute drive from the popular seaside town of Scarborough, with its many attractions, including the beach, Marine Drive, Sealife Centre, Water Park, Scarborough Spa, Open air theatre. Throughout the year there are many events to appeal to young and old alike.
The historic town and harbour of Whitby is approximately 25 minutes drive away, and the quaint harbour of Staithes is a short drive beyond.
Other seaside resorts nearby include Filey and Bridlington.
There are many good beaches nearby, other than Scarborough, including Sandsend, Runswick Bay, Skinningrove and Saltburn.
The area is a walkers paradise, with many good walks with exceptional views and breath taking scenery along the coast, and also inland in the North York Moors. These include the Cleveland Way, which follows both an inland and coastal route.
Local events include artists and bands at Scarborough Spa and the Open Air Theatre. The popular cycling event the Tour de Yorkshire regularly visits the area at the start of May.
Local wildlife is abundant, with deers regularly spotted from the property, and guaranteed seal spotting at Ravenscar.
Or why not just sit and relax in the hot tub!

- "The lodge was as described and very clean inside.and the bedrooms and bathrooms well presented. Beds comfortable and the kitchen well-equipped. Hot water was plentiful. Very quiet location overlooking fields. The decking could do with a little TLC. The hot tub was very good and everyone enjoyed it. The garden could also do with a little work and the area on the side opposite the entrance could also do with cutting and tidying as it would enhance the property in our opinion. Overall a lovely lodge with adequate parking and in an excellent location for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors and the coastal resorts (Whitby and Bridlington about 40 minutes away and Scarborough town centre 15 minutes). Also on a bus route. A couple of pubs serving excellent food were a 20 minute walk."

- "The whole experience from beginning to end was fantastic. Suzie was really welcoming and both her and her family as well as any staff we saw were really nice. The property exceeded our expectations and the website does not give it the justice deserved, always difficult with photos I know. It was a central place to visit all areas and the property was equipped enough for not only 8 of us but for other family to visit and sit out in the spectacular gardens. Truly wonderful 😀"

- "A great location. Tranquil. A stones throw from Dalby forest. A great stay for building good memories. Quirky decoration just adds to the experience. The welcome hamper was a treat. The spring water was invigorating and pure. The family were very friendly. Escape to the serene countryside and experience the ultimate glamping adventure in our one-of-a-kind Oxo Wagon. Built on a 1940s flatbed farm trailer and designed with inspiration from old French farmhouses, this charming wagon offers a unique and cozy retreat for couples or families. The wagon sleeps up to 4 people, with 2 comfortable double beds tucked away behind cupboard-like doors, reminiscent of a childhood bedroom on a French farm (guests provide own bedding).
The Oxo Wagon is not only a beautiful accommodation but also an environmentally friendly one, as all of the wood used in its construction is recycled or reclaimed, such as the sound-deadening wood from a church organ in the local town used for the table and driftwood found from the local beach used for the viranda fence. Guests can enjoy the beautiful views from the viranda or the warmth of a fire in the firepit built during lockdown. The grass roof is quite amazing and makes it an unique and special experience.
Experience the tranquility and beauty of the natural surroundings while enjoying all the comforts of home in the Oxo Wagon. With its rustic charm, eco-friendly features, and breathtaking views, this unique glamping experience will make for an unforgettable holiday.

This is a very cool, vintage and large glamping wagon on our little campsite next to Dalby Forest. Made from a reclaimed trailer and materials and decorated inside in a very traditional and vintage manor. It has a small kitchen area and a barn-door dining table with four stools, a double bed and two smaller folding bunks above the double, ideal for children. An outside fire-pit, lots of deck chairs and loungers for your use. Perfect for a couple or a young family (guests provide own bedding).
Safe place to stay, we are very remote 🙂
Our private views are amazing and will leave you perfectly relaxed. There is so much space to explore, you could walk for miles without being disturbed. In a small area divided by a line of trees, just to the left as you look out of the wagons, you’ll find a toilet, shower, and washing area.
The wagons are heated with gas heaters, resembling vintage wood burners. These are state-of-the-art, current heaters with all necessary safety features which provide the perfect warmth for winter nights.
Although the wagons have no mains power, they are lit with gas and oil lamps. Candles are also provided for the perfect romantic touch adding authenticity. There is a gas stove in the kitchen, two double beds with quality mattresses and protectors (guests must provide their own bedding). All crockery and cutlery is provided.
