SMART TVs in each room as well means you can watch your fav TV if you’re desperate to catch up on something while you are away. The kitchen is very well equipped if you are cooking on your break however just over the garden wall is the Mayfield Hotel . We decided to treat ourselves to the carvery which was fantastic value and hit the spot . There is also a soft play in the hotel so the kids can have fun whilst you are dining. Backgarden is small but completely enclosed so if you have a dog with you it’s completely safe to potter out there . We enjoyed our stay so much we fully plan to book again in the summer . Spoke to someone eventually after trying all the phone numbers and was told that the place would be cleaned if we left for tea/dinner and returned later.Took us over an hour of phone calls and spoke to 3 different people to arrange cleaning. Still not cleaned as no one available apparently... was cleaned after we left the next morning, so 1 night ruined completely. Was eventually offered £75 total refund on 2 nights at £290, which I believe was a poor refund but was the best I could receive I was told. Would definitely not recommend as the staff clearly don't communicate well with guests or each other."

At Bickley Rigg Farm, a historic treasure dating back to the 1600s, guests are invited to immerse themselves in the enchanting surroundings. Your exclusive space includes expansive grounds with acres of natural beauty, perfect for exploring or enjoying a leisurely stroll. The garden and patio area surrounding the cottage provide a relaxed, inviting atmosphere, where you can unwind and soak in the scenery.

There is very convenient parking upon arrival for your ease. The property also has access to a secure dog run, complete with seating and a spacious kennel and shower for your furry companions. For those traveling with larger groups, our stunning and completely unique glamping wagons are situated on the farm, ensuring they are distant enough to maintain your privacy while still being available for group gatherings upon request. Enjoy the magical atmosphere and pleasing energy that our guests often describe, making your stay at Bickley Rigg Farm a truly unforgettable experience.

Other things to note
We are proud to be a dog-friendly cottage, welcoming up to two dogs with a small charge of £20 for the second dog, which contributes to the additional cleaning required.

For your entertainment, we provide a selection of classic board games and puzzles, ensuring plenty of fun for all ages. Additionally, the cottage is filled with a remarkable array of fascinating memorabilia and vintage toys that will delight children and adults alike. Many guests have remarked that they plan to return just to finish exploring all the treasures our cottage has to offer.

Check-in is available between 3 PM and 6 PM, and check-out is at 10 AM. If you require different times, we’re happy to accommodate your needs with prior notice. Your comfort and enjoyment are our utmost priorities!

Harwood House is a fisherman's cottage in the heart of the old town in Scarborough. It's 2 minutes' walk down Custom House steps, and you're on the sea front in South Bay.
The house is on 4 floors.
The cellar with the original range is the living room.
We have a sitting room, dining area, kitchen with vaulted ceiling and bathroom on the ground floor and two bedrooms and a bathroom on the next two floors complete with sea and castle views. Inc wifi, parking , washer, dryer & dishwasher.

The space
The house is ideal for families, friends or two couples. The top bedroom can be altered to suit sleeping accommodation of our guests either as a super king bed, three singles, or two singles .

We do allow one well-behaved dog. Please be aware that the house has no outside space.
The house used to belong to my great grandad, who was a deep sea fisherman. It's been in the family for 100 years, and his mum and grandma both grew up in the house, so we have a real connection to it. After being let for many years, we have restored it to its former glory with a full re-furb in 2016-2017. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

Parking
As the house is tucked away in the charming historic settings of old town Scarborough, you can not park directly outside the house. we will provide permits for you to park in the surrounding streets zone A2.
However, you are able to drive up to the house via Tuthill to load and unload.
As the house has a lot of stairs and steps, it's probably not suitable for mobile babies or infirm guests.

Other things to note
There's great surf/paddle boarding or kayaking in either bay and skateboarding at Hairy Bobs skate park in North Bay. The walks/running along the coastal paths are superb or on the Wolds Way or Centurian Way. The best ice cream is at the Harbour Bar, and my favourite afternoon tea is at The Clock Cafe.

The cottage is in a rural setting on a working farm near Scarborough. It is a bungalow with two internal steps, one leading from the lounge to the dining area and a second leading to the bedrooms and it is ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travellers, families (with kids). We also allow a well behaved dog at the property. There are two bedrooms, a double with en suite shower room and a twin bedroom. The property is self catering. Travel Cot,Outside dog kennel facility is available.

18th century cottage in Scarborough. Centrally located, being less than a mile from Scarborough Railway Station and town centre. Beautifully appointed to a very high standard, with quality fittings and furnishings.

The space
Lounge/dining area, which includes 40" T.V, with Netflix. Amazon Echo music system.
Fully equipped kitchen, incorporating small fridge/freezer, washer/dryer and microwave.
Full bathroom, with bath having shower and T.V, adding a little bit of luxury!
Bedroom, with double bed, triple wardrobe and wall-mounted T.V. The bedroom is open-plan, so the cottage is ideally suited to a couple.
This charming cottage has the great advantage of having a small raised garden, which is perfect for enjoying outside eating and drinking, and it catches the sun all day, ( if it is out of course!)
The fabulous log burner is the centre-piece of this home, making it a wonderful, warm and cosy place for a short break away!

Other things to note
There is no private parking area, but there is on-street parking in a parking lane, right outside the front door. There are no restrictions and it is almost always possible to get a space. if not, the streets off the side of Scalby Road also have unlimited parking.
You are more than welcome to use the log burner, but logs are no longer included in our price. Bulk buying is not an option for us, so I will try to have nets of wood available for purchase at the cottage. The cottage has adequate central heating to keep it cosy and warm!
Just to clarify why our cottage is unsuitable for toddlers and children:
The cottage is open-plan and has an open staircase and a log burner. There are also steep steps leading up to a small garden. For safety reasons, we do not host children. However, you are more than welcome to stay with an infant, (if not mobile!) providing you bring a travel cot with you.
We have a minimum two night stay policy, but if there is a spare night on the calendar, please enquire about booking or adding it to an existing booking for a special offer rate.

Stable Cottage is a quaint little home, hidden away down a quiet side street off the A165 in the area of Ramshill Road. Beautifully appointed to a very high standard, with quality fittings and furniture. It is centrally located, being 0.5 miles from Scarborough Railway Station, town centre and Scarborough Spa

The space
Stable Cottage was converted into a cottage four years ago. Going back in history, it has been a workshop, a print shop and dating back to 1800, it was originally stables for the more affluent residents of Royal Crescent! The cottage itself is very characterful, with wonderful beamed ceilings upstairs, spacious kitchen and lounge, and has the added bonus of a lovely outside courtyard.
The cottage opens up into a small hallway, with a spacious kitchen to the left and equally spacious lounge to the right.
Kitchen
The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you would need for cooking and dining, a dining table for two, full size fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine.
Lounge
Comfortable two-seater recliner sofa, beautiful high class gas powered log stove, music system, 40" T.V, with Netflix.
Bedroom
Characterful cosy room with beautiful beamed ceiling, built-in wardrobe, vanity unit, velux window over the bed with remote controlled black-out blind, mood lighting, T.V, with Netflix.
Bathroom
Small, but with all that is needed; full size bath with over-head shower, toilet, sink and mirror. Towel and an amount of toiletries are provided.
Courtyard
The courtyard is a great space for relaxing with a drink or eating, whilst enjoying some fresh air! It is also perfect for cyclists and motor-cyclists, as there is plenty of room for your bikes to be kept safely behind locked gates.

Other things to note
There is no parking on the premises and there is a limited number of resident parking spaces on Royal Crescent Lane itself, which only allows three hour parking between the hours of 9a.m - 5p.m. (You will need to put a parking disc in your car, which will be left for you at the cottage.) However, there is ample unlimited parking just a two minute walk from the cottage, on Garlands Hill and Oriel Crescent. It is a decent neighbourhood and there is always somewhere to park.

The space
THE COTTAGE

Lantern cottage is a beautiful one-bed detached barn conversion with a fully equipped oak Farmhouse kitchen with range cooker and integrated appliances, wood-burning stove in original brick fireplace, a large double-ended whirlpool bath – perfect for two, king size bed in beautiful en-suite bedroom, antique dining table and chairs, large Chesterfield-style corner sofa, window seats, wi-fi throughout and Smart TV. And with underfloor heating in every room, a roaring fire and a toasty hot-tub, the cottage is also a perfect cosy retreat for the winter months and the festive period.

LOCATION

So-named after the smugglers reputed to have signalled out to sea from the property, Lantern Cottage sits 100 yards back from the cliff-top in a five acre coastal plot alongside a late Georgian farmhouse which has been a prominent local sea- and landmark for centuries. The cottage is surrounded by National Trust farmland pasture, hay-meadows and brier abundant with wildlife such as Roe deer, badgers, foxes, hares, barn owls, hawks and many increasingly rare birds.

The private lawned garden has a hot tub, dining area and patio area, all with uninterrupted views of the Yorkshire coast, taking in Scarborough’s North Bay and Medieval castle, Filey Brigg, the white chalk of Bempton cliffs down to the famous lighthouse at Flamborough Head over 20 miles away.

Discover the beautiful countryside that surrounds this property, by bike or on foot, with plenty of local tracks & footpaths. Situated on the edge of Dalby Forest in the North York Moors National Park it's a great spot to get away from it all, do a spot of bird watching or stargaze in what is a Dark Skies designated area. If you fancy a day on the beach a 30 minute drive will take you to the seaside town of Scarborough. Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay and Runswick are also all within an easy car ride.
