- "Excellent communication from the owners, Jacki and John before we arrived, reassuring me regarding Covid . They were attentive, but in no way encroaching during our stay, checking we were ok with everything. The cottage is so thoughtfully designed, everything is covered. The heating system works brilliantly, radiators upstairs on their own thermostat, underfloor heating downstairs and a log burner . We turned the heating off downstairs, as the log burner so toasty warm! The kitchen is particularly well equipped, you could easily cook full meals. Upstairs, again, everything you could need has been thought of. Bathroom is good, nice electric shower. Everything was spotlessly clean. The location was gorgeous, a farm on the moors, not a sound . The stars were amazing! We did some walks direct from the cottage, it’s always good not to go in the car. You can walk to Goathland ,Grosmont and Beck Hole, which we did. Further afield , coastal walks are spectacular. About 20 mins from Whitby for fish and chips. The Wi-Fi is pretty much non existent, I used my phone as a hotspot a couple of times. We did our research for walks before we got there, which was a good thing. We have had the perfect week away from all the stress and worry of the craziness of 2020. Seriously hope we will be back soon. Huge thank you to Jackie and John. "

Guest Reviews:

- "Had a great stay with my family for the weekend. The cottage was very clean and well equipped, the underfloor heating kept us all cosy and we had a thoroughly relaxing time. The hot tub was huge and very clean. The only negative was when the owners dog barked at night, setting off my dog to bark back, then being told the next day that the dog shouldn’t bark at night! Found this frustrating to be honest but it didn’t spoil our trip. Overall a great place to stay."

Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo" - "This is a great holiday home in a wonderful location. The place was really clean and the welcome basket was such a nice touch and really appreciated. It’s always warm and the fire is nice to use at night time. The kids loved watching the trains go by from the windows, and the fact that the station is on the doorstep means it’s really quick and easy to see them properly. There’s loads of great walking in the area and if you want to jump in the car it’s not too far from the coast. It rained quite a bit when we were there but there’s a good selection of board games at your disposal. Great British holiday Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"
