Winner of the "Best Green Holiday Home" award at the European Holiday Home Awards 2021, Our eco-friendly log cabin has a gorgeous open plan living room with underfloor heating, exposed log walls, a vaulted ceiling and stunning views of the Scottish landscape outside the large glass frontage. In the cosy sitting area there is a wood burning stove (generous supply of logs, matches and firelighters provided) and if you can stop gazing at the beautiful views there is a smart tv with complimentary Netflix account.
The hand built kitchen has everything you need to prepare home cooked meals with wonderful local produce available in the lovely array of independent shops in Melrose, less than a mile away.
Large glass doors open from the living room on to a large wooden decking area with private wood fired hot tub, wooden garden furniture and a fire pit with log seating area.
There are two luxuriously appointed bedrooms in the cabin, one downstairs and one upstairs on a mezzanine level. Both can be made up with two single beds or zipped together to make huge superking double beds. There is also a sumptuous shower room with large, powerful rain shower and unlimited hot water from our eco-friendly heating system.
The cabin is perfect for families, groups of friends or as a romantic escape for two as there is a 15% discount for two person occupancy.
The cabin also welcomes up to two well behaved dogs (must be over 1 year old, extra charge of £25 per dog, please mention when booking). There is a fully enclosed garden and heaps of great dogs walks on the doorstep.
The central location of the log cabin within the Scottish Borders is perfect for exploring the region and there are lots of events and activities to suit all age groups and interests.

This lovely chalet bungalow is in the village of Charlesfield near to St Boswells and can sleep four people in two bedrooms.
Little Gem Lodge is a lovely chalet bungalow situated in the village of Charlesfield, just four miles from St Boswells in the Scottish Borders. The bungalow can sleep four people and has one king-size double bedroom with en-suite shower and one twin together with shower room. Also in the cottage is a kitchen with dining area and sitting area with electric fire. Outside is off road parking for two cars and a veranda with furniture. Little Gem Lodge is in an ideal location for exploring this lovely part of the country.

The space
This spacious wooden bungalow is clean and comfortable.
The kitchen /living room is open plan with table top hob and oven ,plus microwave , slow cooker, toaster , fridge freezer . It is only suitable for light cooking
not masterchef ! We provide tea , coffee , milk and a few little extras to
start you off.
We are sorry this cottage is kitted out for two people and is sadly not suitable for children under 5.
Guest access
Good cycling, and within 2 miles there is fishing, horse riding, golf. Ideal as a base for exploring castles and abbeys.
Other things to note
On satellite maps this looks like part of the farmyard but it is separated and elevated so is very private and quiet.
