I brought my three children (17, 14 & 9) to Scotland from Southern England, a long drive but well worth it. We arrived and everything was perfect from the moment we turned the key. Wonderful kitchen with everything you could want, comfy beds and bedlinen, and the views...... just perfect. We were unlucky with the weather, very cold for August - 9 degrees some days! But the hot tub and games were enough to keep all of mine contented for the whole week, which was a wonderful surprise! We found we chatted and laughed together more than we get the chance to in our busy lives 'down south'. There was only one supermarket/grocery store, in nearby Killin, but it actually had everything we needed. We ate out at a couple of local pubs, both of which offered plenty of local produce and at good value prices. We got great use out of the hot tub (several times each day!!) and enjoyed open fires in the evenings. I heartily recommend Ardeonaig Lodge. I know you will enjoy your stay as much as we did!!"

Red Kite Lodge in Ardeonaig, FK21 8SY is a traditional wood chalet set amongst mature trees with a stunning outlook towards the surrounding mountains, near beautiful Loch Tay and the pretty villages of Killin, Kenmore and the historic town of Aberfeldy.

Enjoy your morning coffee on the south-facing patio area outsie, ideal for admiring the view or keeping an eye out for the red squirrels and deer.

Red Kite is ideal for walkers and nature enthusiasts, on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7

The space
Inside, the layout of the main living accommodation is open plan with comfy seating at one end and the cooking facilities (kettle, oven, hob, micorwave, fridge and freezer, washing machine) at the other. Its large glass doors keep the room nice and bright and can be opened up to bring the country views inside. Everything is laid out all on the one level and is kept nice and cosy by underfloor heating.

The other rooms lie off the spacious hallway with a double bedroom and an attractive twin bedroom. Storage is provided in the porch area for coats and boots, etc and a modern shower room with a walk-in shower completes the accommodation. There is a TV screen where guests can access their own TV subscription through the Ruku Streaming device available in the chalet.

Seating is set up on the south-facing patio area outside which is ideal for admiring the view. There is plenty of space for parking outside.

Larger parties of guests can book Red Deer, Red Kite and Red Squirrel Lodge together in order to enjoy a holiday together whilst still having some privacy and space. The lodges each have their own entrances.

A mile down the road there is access to a private beach on Loch Tay.
We are also on the Rob Roy Way and Cycle Route 7.

Guest access
One of three chalets. Each Chalet has it's private own patio area and plenty of parking.

There is access to a private beach on Loch Tay, should you wish to use during your stay.

Other things to note
The chalets are set in a rural farming community. Any dogs will need to be extremely well behaved and kept on a lead when outside the property, especially if there is livestock in the surrounding fields.
We would respecfully ask that any noise be taken inside by 10.30pm so as not to disturb the locals!
** In winter the roads can get icy in the months December- February. Ideally a 4x4 or snow tyres are best suited**
