Obviously no shops in the immediate vicinity but Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Aberfeldy are all within a short driving distance affording ample shopping opportunities. - "The lodge was exactly what we wanted for a long weekend. Good location, within walking distance of a hotel/pub in Moulin. The lodge is very well kitted out with enough of everything and very nice shower gel and hand wash provided. The garden is very small but is dog proof. We didn’t use the log burner or hot tub but both looked as if they would work well. Towels and linen are of good quality - all in all great and we’d definitely stay there again."

No issues at all with the stay and we will be back. One point though that I would class as a negative is the late check in from 4pm. This is much later than most other hospitality venues. As there are clear instructions for access to the chalet, our preference would have been to arrive earlier and unpack with some time to go out in the afternoon. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you should need. It also has a juicer, mini grill and slow cooker.

Tea, Coffee, sugar, salt, pepper, milk, and cooking oil are provided.

The lounge has a comfy sofa, a 50" smart TV, Xbox 360, and an Alexa speaker for music and information. Books and playing cards are provided if the weather is being typically Scottish, and the squirrels can usually be seen at the feeders outside the living room window.

Outside, you can light the BBQ, firepit, or relax with a book in your own private space. Outdoor chair cushions can be found in the bench seat. And there is outdoor lighting.

A 10-minute walk, or a 1-minute drive, will take you into the town centre of Pitlochry.

*****The Cabin doesn't have a hot tub, but they can be hired locally from HIGHLAND HOT TUBS for a 3 day stay or more.

Situated on a working farm in the heart of Highland Perthshire, Burnside Lodge is a well equipped, comfortable and cosy log cabin built in the traditional Norwegian style with a turf roof, a log burning stove and an expansive deck.
The lodge has a view of Ben Vrackie and overlooks a burn running through the garden to the River Garry. It is ideally placed for retreat and relaxation or active exploration of Scotland, and is in “Big Tree Country” on the edge of the Cairngorm National Park.
