- "Lovely location on a working farm. Friendly, approachable staff, nice room with a big comfortable bed. Room was clean apart from a few cobwebs. The breakfast was excellent with a nice range and dare I say it the local black pudding was tastier than what I'd usually get from Bury! Only niggles were, the shower door was a little small for larger people and no hot water from sink tap. Not much thst can be done for the first issue but we mentioned the hot water and it was sorted very quickly. It's a lovely area and was perfect as a base for trips out to Southport and Ormskirk and just up the road from where we had booked a Canal Cruise, which was the main reason for our visit. It's also not far from both Liverpool and Blackpool and the nearby town of Burscough was pleasant and picturesque. We'd definitely come here again"
