- "The property was in pleasant grounds, in an attractive village. There are a number of b and b rooms in the barn which is now an annex to the main house. The room had a high ceiling so was airy and spacious. The ensuite shower room was too. The bed could be a double or two singles so was large size and we found to be comfortable. There was a continental style breakfast to help yourself to in the dining room which also had a tv. I enjoyed watching the planes coming into land at the airport. These seemed to stop late evening. The host was friendly, available to offer suggestions and check if things were ok but was in the background. There was guidelines on display to ensure all guests were accommodated - eg the dining room was to be vacated by 10pm, presumably so other guests could sleep. We planned to visit NT Speke Hall and the Beatles childhood homes and the location was ideal for this. "

Dating back to 1726, the Brook Barn B&B is located on the outskirts of Liverpool. With free WiFi available throughout and free secure gated parking, this small non-working farm is 5 minutes' drive from John Lennon Airport. Set within a converted barn in the grounds, each room includes a flat-screen Smart TV and tea and coffee making facilities. All rooms have a private shower room. Guests have use of a shared lounge with a large flat-screen TV. Featuring a garden and a shared guest lounge, Brook Barn B&B also offers a complimentary airport shuttle service when possible. - "This is a place that does need work but perfect for anyone needing a cheap base not far from Liverpool. A few hiccups on check in and parking limited for off road. Probably would go again but only if things upgraded a bit still needs more tlc on outside."
