Rose Corner is a well located, two-bedroom holiday home, attached to the owner’s home, located just outside Topsham in East Devon and a 10-minute drive from the golden sandy beach at Exmouth. Prepare an evening meal or a hearty breakfast in the pristine and well-equipped modern kitchen, before settling at the dining table to discuss the days events. The kitchen is open plan with the living/dining area, which has a 4-seater corner sofa, a 32" Freeview TV and a dining table with four chairs. Leading off from this area are the two double bedrooms and a shower room. Guests have their own private outdoor seating area with a patio, perfect for soaking up the sun with a refreshing drink in hand. The popular town of Topsham is just 1½ miles away from the property. Lying on the banks of the River Exe, the town has an ‘olde worlde’ charm all of its own and is ideally located between the cathedral city of Exeter, just 5 miles away, and the seaside resort of Exmouth, which is 8 miles away.

First an ancient Roman settlement, Topsham became a Charter Town in 1300 and developed into a major British port renowned for shipbuilding. A stroll around its fascinating streets and passageways will reveal unique and quirky buildings with Dutch-style houses from its maritime past built by merchants in the 17th century, and fine examples of Georgian and Edwardian architecture. There are river walks and wildlife to be enjoyed with many a quiet place to sit and watch the sailing boats go by. This beautiful country cottage dates back to the 17th century when it was once used by farmers’ assistants. Fast forward 400 years, it stands with two spacious wings that occupy eight guests and with heaps of character. An extensive garden wraps around the cottage with a manicured lawn and an idyllic collection of trees. The Space:
There’s so much to love about Bodley Bridge: its unique history, luscious gardens, warm character and ideal location make it a wonderful place to get away. When it’s sunny, soak up the beautiful surroundings - read a book in a quiet corner or explore the natural spring which runs parallel to the lower part of the garden. When it's cool, settle into your cosy home full of traditional features. With over 400 years of history, enjoy characterful beams, lime walls and a unique bread oven, which would have been used before there was a fireplace.

Rustle up delicious homecooked feasts in your plush contemporary kitchen, equipped with a six-ring range oven and various other appliances. Then settle into one of your two living areas with a fire roaring, both are as cosy as each other. In the summer months, dine al fresco with a brand new set of outdoor seating.

The house is split into two wings, thanks to two extensions. Head upstairs and find 4 bedrooms in total: three king-size rooms and a second twin room. All have been finished to a high standard, ensuring maximum comfort and ample room to unpack and make yourselves at home. One family bathroom and one shower room are shared by all, plus there is an en-suite in one of the king rooms. As if that wasn’t enough, you’ll also find a plethora of room for activities. The second living room has an Ottoman full of board games, plus there is a dedicated study with desk. And one of the outbuildings contains a set of gym equipment: a treadmill, indoor bike and weights. For families, there is a travel cot, high chair and stair gates.

Dogs are welcome with a fee of £20/dog (max 2). It is on the condition they are not allowed on the soft furnishings or in the bedrooms and not left inside the property unattended. There is a fully enclosed pet pen in the garden that has both an indoor and outdoor section. There is a dog flap in the indoor shed so pets can easily access the outdoor area and go back inside as they wish. The pen does not have heating or lighting. Pets can safely be left here unattended.

The Neighborhood:
Bodley Bridge is located in an idyllic spot in rural Devon. You’re located on the edge of Whimple, an old village which lies roughly halfway between the city of Exeter and the market town of Honiton. It’s known for being one of a number of places where cider was made historically, with Whiteways being one local company involved with that industry. The local pub, Jack in the Green, is just a 3-minute drive or 20-minute walk away.

You’re ideally situated to explore many of Devon’s best highlights. The city of Exeter is a 20-minute drive away, boasting a beautiful cathedral as well as independent shops, eateries, galleries and theatres. You can also visit the picturesque fishing towns of Topsham and Lympstone, which lie on the edge of the River Exe. Both are brimming with cosy local pubs and boutique antique shops - you can even follow the coastal path all the way to Exmouth beside the water. A real hidden gem is Darts Farm where you can pick your own veg, have a spot of lunch or pick up delicious, deli goodies.

Every fireworks night, there is a spectacle to behold in the nearby village of Ottery St Mary. The world-famous Tar Barrels is an old custom said to have originated in the 17th century and is held each year. Burning barrels of tar are carried through the streets to the delight of thousands of townsfolk and visitors. It’s not to be missed if you’re in the local area around the time.

For a day out by the sea, you can reach Budleigh, Sidmouth, Branscombe and Beer within a 30-minute drive. Or, for long country stomps, head into the Blackdown Hills. Getting Around:
Due to its remote nature, we would recommend bringing a car for your stay. There is ample private parking for up to 5 vehicles.

Other Things to Note:
There is a small pond with water pump on the drive at front of property outside the kitchen, as well as a natural stream that runs past the bottom end of the garden. Neither of these bodies of water are fenced off, so the property may not be suitable for those with toddlers or children. For those that do book with younger ones, please do not leave them unattended outside.

Two of the bedrooms are accessed via a spiral staircase, so these rooms are likely not suitable for those with younger children or mobility limitations.

The cottage is next to a 60 mph road. It is a B road so it is not hugely busy, but there is of course potential for noise from passing vehicles.

This house is the perfect getaway for families or couples. Enjoy the Gym and Trampoline in a prime place with a 2 min walk to the train station which allows a 10 min train ride into Exeter Central. The property is only a 10 min walk from the Exeter Chiefs rugby ground which is perfect for game days and parking is available out on the street. The neighbourhood is nice and quiet with a spar shop and play park a 1 minute walk away and a green area just 30 seconds away.
The space
The house has been set up for your perfect getaway, the French doors in the living room lead out onto the decking which covers half of the garden with furniture under a gazebo and the other half of the garden is grass with a 10ft trampoline for any little ones. The sun comes into the garden from about 11am until it goes down making it the ideal space to relax in the summer. You can enter the garage from the kitchen and it has been converted into a Gym with a running machine, adjustable dumbbells (up to 41kg) + bench and a pull-up bar for your exercise fix.

The house is great for kids and has a little play kitchen in the real kitchen as well as a toy box and the trampoline to keep them entertained. There are three toilets in the house, one downstairs and two upstairs. There are 2 double rooms upstairs, the main room has ensuite and the 2nd bedroom has a single mattress that is stored under the double bed allowing you to have 5 people staying.

An immaculately presented 2 double bedroom coach house in the beautiful village of Broadclyst, near Exeter. Neutrally decorated throughout with all the home comforts you require for your stay. The front door leads to the stairway and a lovely light, airy open-plan, kitchen-living-dining area. From this there are 2 bright, carpeted bedrooms and a modern bathroom. There is also a large storage/utility cupboard. There is a small courtyard to the side of the property.

The space
This home is modern and clean with a really comfortable lounge area. With large windows in each room, it has a bright airy feeling, and the bedrooms are spacious enough for a couple to stay in each room comfortably.

There is parking for one vehicle in a private garage.

We take the health of our guests very seriously and as such, our property has been professionally cleaned, and serviced laundry is provided to ensure everything is as sanitary as possible.

Cook up a storm in the stylish kitchen, where you can also whip up all manner of cocktails in the drinks preparation area, ready to serve from a special hatch. Six bedrooms in the main house and a further two in the annexe, along with eight en-suite bathrooms, comfortably sleep 16 people. Three other bedrooms on the first floor open out onto a shared balcony. All eight bedrooms have king beds and smart TVs with Freeview.

With the wild expanse of Dartmoor just minutes away and beaches galore grazing the doorstep, adventurers will be in their element at Huxham View. Hiking trails, secret wild swimming spots and watersports are abundant, as are pretty seaside villages and quaint thatched cottages. Hire an outdoor pod to celebrate a special occasion at the Agricultural Inn in nearby Brampford Speke – a lovely country pub with amazing food. In Pinhoe village, the Proper Job serves a fantastic variety of delicious locally sourced fare. But you would not be blamed for wanting to stay at home. Exercising in the swim-spa, relaxing in the hot tub and reclining on the al fresco decking or roof terrace from sun-up to sundown, with not a worry in the world other than where the next cocktail is coming from, is a rather beautiful place to be.

Please note that, unfortunately, the wine refrigerator in the main kitchen is currently out of use due to damage. However, there is ample space to store and cool wine in the very large American-style fridge freezer. We apologise if this causes any inconvenience while we await repair.

Fresh Escapes will provide access details to the property exactly 48 hours before you check in. Huxham View is for your exclusive use, including the annexe on the left of the main photographs. The annexe is mobility friendly and there is one step into the main house with one bedroom on the lower-ground floor.

Our cosy single bedroom offers a comfortable and functional space, featuring a standard UK single-sized bed (90 cm wide by 190 cm long), a desk, chair, and wardrobe. Please note that the bed may not be suitable for guests taller than 6ft, so only book if you are happy with the size!

The house has two toilets, so you won’t need to share with us; however, the bathroom may be shared if another guest is staying in the double room. For your convenience, the bathroom is equipped with complimentary shower gel and shampoo.

Elbury Farm is situated on the National Trust Killerton Estate, on the outskirts of Broadclyst. We offer a mixture of shared accommodation and a self-contained holiday let in a beautiful, peaceful and nature rich location less than 6 miles from Exeter city.

Traditionally (but no longer) a dairy farm it has now taken a different direction with nearly 1/3 of the farm in the process of rewilding - that equates to 90 acres of farmland surrounding the farmhouse being left for nature to take a hold.

The accommodation is on the outskirts of the Beautiful city of Exeter.
This modern house is bright and clean. Your room is a good size with views, available storage, a desk, tv, drinks station. The bathroom is a good size with shower over bath, bright and clean.
Close to Sandy Park home of The Chiefs, Ikea and several eateries including The Blue Ball. Newcourt train station is 2 mins walk which travels along the Avocet Line and links to St David’s station Exeter. A short drive to airport.

Our cosy double bedroom provides a comfortable and functional space, featuring a standard small double bed, desk, chair, and wardrobe.

The house has two toilets, so you won’t need to share with us; however, the bathroom may be shared if another guest is staying in the single room. For your convenience, the bathroom is equipped with complimentary shower gel and shampoo.

The double bedroom is on the upper floor, next to mine and a bright shared bathroom. The kitchen is small and available to use, as well as laundry facilities. The lounge is free to relax in. The garden is very wild with some small ponds and fruit trees you’re welcome to eat from in summer (apples, pears and berries!) parking is available all down the street but can sometimes be a bit busy, I’m happy to leave the drive free if you let me know.
