The planes are very loud but I got used to them and we did know this before going. Historical Note
The estate is thought to originate in 1265, making it 757 years old. It was the first manor house of Long Ashton and first recorded as the manor house of Ashton-Philips. In the 14th century the house was divided until a Bristol merchant named Richard Ameryk started to purchase shares in the estate, until 1502 when he acquired the final portion of the manor. We live in a pretty english village, but very close to Bristol (only 2.5 miles to Bristol City Centre) so we are lucky to have lovely countryside as well as being close to everything. Bristol is a beautiful city with lots to see, and close enough to Bath and London for day trips.
We have a regular bus route to Bristol as well as a cycle track at the back of our house, for those who don't have a car.

This is our second listing in our family home. We use this small upstairs room as a study and for family/ friends to stay, but also for short stays via Airbnb and another booking platform. We live in a pretty english village, but very close to Bristol (only 2.5 miles to Bristol City Centre) so we are lucky to have lovely countryside as well as being close to everything. Bristol is a beautiful city with lots to see, and close enough to Bath and London for day trips.
We have a regular bus route to Bristol as well as a cycle track at the back of our house, for those who don't have a car.
10-15 minutes drive from Bristol Airport, Bristol Temple Meads Station & Bristol Bus station.

We live in a friendly and safe cul de sac, with fields beyond our back garden. our home is a semi-detached family home. we have a driveway that fits 2-3 cars and a large back garden. Guests have a large room on the ground floor, and will share ground floor facilities with our family. Very occasionally, we also have guests in an upstairs room, but generally this is a family-only area.

We designed the lounge/dining area to offer versatility. You have the option of binge-watching the latest series on Netflix or Amazon Prime or the luxury of reading. If you need to catch up on work, please use the extendable dining room table as a workspace.

Should you want to cook a meal at 'home' the kitchenette has a microwave and halogen plate with a small refrigerator. Glasses, crockery, cooking and eating utensils are provided.

Of course, we are happy to co-coordinate whatever else you may need where possible (additional costs may apply).

We share our house and grounds with two domestic cats, Mexi and Stag, who enjoy roaming the garden and guests sometimes have them inside the cottage (they think that they are African lions roaming the plains when they are not curled up sleeping somewhere warm).
You may bump into them or they may visit you out of curiosity and friendliness, however there is no obligation for guests to let them in if they do visit. At night you could hear the occasional owl or the sounds of foxes and (depending on the season )the abundance of bird life welcomes each day.
For those who love horses, the cottage also backs onto paddocks of neighbouring stables.

My Garden Cottage is a double ensuite guest room separate to the main house at the bottom of our garden ideally suited to guests staying overnight who need to be close to the airport or who are attending weddings at nearby venues. It has its own entrance and parking space.

The Gin Bar! You will find a few of my favourite gins of the moment, for a min donation of £2.50 per drink. This works on an honesty basis - I trust you!

We are just 20 mins or so from Bristol, so perfect if you want to explore the city and relax for the evening. We are also just a few minutes from the airport, so in a fantastic location for early/late flights.

We can point you in the direction of a couple of great pubs just a couple of minutes drive away.

“The Thunderbolt” is a converted horse box that sleeps 4 people .
Nestled away in the beautiful countryside of the Chew Valley, sitting on a generous pitch in a quiet corner of our small & friendly camping field, it is conveniently located only 9 miles from Bristol city centre .

The space
This is a rustic rebuilt horsebox. Originally coach built in 1988 for a mix of living and horses. More recently it was converted to glamping accommodation. It has a cosy woodburning stove , comfortable beds ( 1 king and 1 small double over cab ) and would suit 2 adults and 2 children, maybe a 3rd child could sleep on the sofa or possibly 4 adults .
It’s completely off grid so is solar /battery powered. There are 2 USB outputs so you can charge devices. Positioned in a quiet corner of our small camping field , the horsebox has lots of green space outside to enjoy .

All Bedding , linen and bath towels are provided .
There is a basic gas hob and aqua roll water connected to the horsebox . Basic cooking utensils, cutlery & crockery provided .

We are on the doorstep of Felton Common which is a 100 Acre nature
reserve, ideal for walks or letting children run free. There is a Pub which serves good food within 10 minute walk . 2 other good pubs and a well stocked village shop within 30 minute walk. Surrounded by nature , you might be lucky and see deer, rare breed cows next door and maybe even hear our resident owl.

Please note : we are close to Bristol Airport , great for plane spotting but there is some aircraft noise .

Fairywells is a self-contained barn conversion. It is attached to our stable block across the stable yard from our farmhouse. The property is newly converted. It is located in beautiful rural Somerset, yet ideal for central Bristol (15 minute drive) and Bristol Airport (less than 10 minute drive). There are lovely local walks straight from the property, with a footpath leading down to the pretty village of Barrow Gurney which has a pub and shop.

Guest access
The area outside the Piggery front door is a shared farm drive. Occasionally the owner of Swallows Barn will walk through the gate to access the fields. If a tractor needed access we would ensure you were notified in advance. Your access to the seating area is through the farm gate.

Other things to note
We have parking for one car and we can park another car in the private drive of Hounsley Farm. Please ensure when parking that you park up to the hedge next to the wall.

LUXURY MODERN STUDIO: Spacious studio with free secure parking. Newly built, Wi-Fi, fully heated and insulated for all year round use.

The studio is set within walking distance of Ashton Court Estate, and a short drive from Clifton Village and Central Bristol.

Additional double bed available for an extra 2 guests; £60 fee per night, charged on arrival. Please specify this to the host, at the time of booking.

NOTE: this studio is a separate dwelling within the grounds of main family home.

The space
Upon entry you have a small washroom and hallway with storage for coats and shoes (you will find the iron, ironing board and emergency supplies here there is a set of stairs ahead of you.

Once you have climbed the stairs you will arrive on the landing with a door to the studio and another to a spacious bathroom.

The studio is open plan with an L Shaped kitchen which contains a fridge, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave and extractor, kettle and toaster. There is a breakfast bar and two bar stools.

The kitchen is equipped with a full range of utensils and cooking equipment a, cleaning detergent and cloths. There is complementary tea, coffee, sugar and bottled water provided.

The living area contains an armchair, beanbag, sofa bed and coffee table. With additional cushions and throws.

There is a large wall mounted TV, and WiFi and mood lighting throughout the lounge and kitchen area.

The bed is a double bed, complete with bedding, throw and cushions. There is hanging storage, drawers, reading lights and a full length mirror.

The bathroom is separate to the open plan living and is light and spacious. It includes a toilet, basin integrated storage and a walk in shower (hand and overhead).

Shampoo, Conditioner and Bodywash is included as well as a large and small towel per guest and 1 toilet roll.

There is plenty of natural light from large windows and several Velux windows.

In addition, you will find a small selection of books, vases, additional table lamps, throws and cushions throughout.

There is heating and hot water.

You can gain access to the studio by an electric gate - details will be provided upon booking and there is a secure space to park one vehicle.
