We were very kindly extended a late check out due to our circumstances (& no one checking in after us) allowing for a very relaxed day & a reluctant departure. Due to time constraints we were unable to try the hot tub; however on having a look inside the area it appears quite modern & in very good condition.Really wish we could've stayed longer as it was just so peaceful & everything had been thought of to give us a truly memorable stay. The next morning when trying to cook breakfast dealt with broken bin which falls apart when use it, broken oven with a plastic piece that comes away so it doesn’t get hot enough, hob didn’t work in lite of following limited instructions in incomplete guide to apartment and searching online for a user guide so couldn’t cook which defeats having self catering option, especially for this 4 night stay, there was also a broken plastic shelf in fridge which would limit what you can store. I was staying with just my two children so didn’t feel comfortable chasing up all of these issues whilst meant to be on a break enjoying ourselves, especially after my husband had reported tv issue on arrival when he dropped us off. This was such a shame as it’s a lovely well located apartment. Really spoilt our visit as had wanted to cook breakfasts and evening meals."

There sofa is not big enough for four people. The main problem are the windows at the front of the property facing the main road. There needs to more coverings as the blinds are usless. This went on all night with no rest bite. At one piont there was a couple talking out side the property early hours in the morning and woke us up and we could hear every word. So in short lovely property but not fit to sleep in. Got up absolutely exhausted not feeling rested. Fix the rubbish windows and fit some black out curtains. I would not recommend this property unless you dont need to sleep. "

We live on a quiet road 0.7 miles from Temple Meads train station and 1.4 miles from the city centre.

Continental breakfast provided for short term guests. Access to our shared kitchen can be arranged occasionally if needed.

There are two lovely parks on the doorstep plus shops, great pubs, eateries and bakery nearby.

The space
The room is a converted attic in our home - shared with a family of 4 plus two cats.

1 double bed and 2 single sofa beds, suitable for 2 adults and 2 children. We also have a travel cot available if you need it.

Own small but well appointed bathroom. Note this is situated under eves and the shower is small so may not suit taller / bigger people.

Hot drink making facilities and basic crockery are available in the room. Light continental breakfast is provided.

We have everything you’re likely to want somewhere in the house so if you’re in need of something give us a shout.

Please be aware that the attic location means there are lots of stairs up the the room so accessibility may be an issue for some. We are always willing to help with heavy luggage.

Other things to note
Be aware that there are quite a few stairs up to the attic room. The bathroom and attic space has a sloped ceiling - very tall people will need to be careful! The bathroom is very compact and the shower is small. This may not be suitable for larger / taller people. Our two cats are also very friendly but will enter the room if the door is left open. The room is not suitable for people with a severe allergy to cats.

I live in an end of terrace house, 130 years old, with friendly neighbours. I love that it's quiet, yet only a few minutes walk from the bustle of Gloucester Road, with it's variety of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants. I don't provide breakfast but you can use my kitchen and dining room and sit in the garden.

The space
My house is quiet, and the guest room faces the garden, catching the evening sun.
A tea and coffee tray, towels and hairdryer are provided for you, and there are black-out curtains. There's a table, chair and sockets for your laptop. I live alone so you'll only be sharing the bathroom with me.

Breakfast isn't provided but you have a tea/coffee tray in your room and can use the kitchen to prepare any meals and the dining room in which to eat them.

If you enjoy a bath, then this is the place for you! My shower isn't perfect but functions adequately.

This is a peaceful area of Bristol close to the airport and also close to the city. It takes 20 mins to cycle into town. There is no wifi . The co-op shop is 10 mins stroll. The place is good for nature lovers as there is a big park at the bottom of the garden. In the summer owls can be heard.

The space
Although the bedroom has a double bed I only want single occupancy- this is because the bathroom and kitchen are small. Because the kitchen is small, I prefer that you use the kitchenette (see below). Generally this place is more suited to short stays, where there will not be a demand on the kitchen. However, some people are content to use microwaves only: in this case longer could work. Finally, the floorboards are bare in most rooms and the sound travels. So if you are a night person this place may not suit you. Preferred quiet hours between midnight and 7am.

You will have shared access to the bathroom and garden. In addition to sole use of the bedroom, you will have sole access to a smaller room next to it: a small kitchenette that has kettle, toaster, microwave - so you can make and eat small snack meals in your own space if you prefer.

Rustic, self-contained building, at the top of my garden. Private, cosy space with double bed, hotplate, kettle, heater, tea & coffee, lots of books & magazines, and covered area for morning tea with the birds. Glamping for a fraction of the cost with electricity, but no running water. Water's provided in a 10l container, chemical flushing toilet in the same room. 20 mins from Bath, 20 mins from Wells, 30 mins from Bristol. Free road parking. Own car ideal, but 522 Bristol/Bath bus runs hourly.

The space
The Pretty Shed is a tiny self contained outbuilding at the top of my garden. Beautiful walks to a woodland with a waterfall, 5 minutes away. The village has two small shops, a pub, a fish & chip shop and a vintage/antiques shop. This is glamping, as no shower or sink, (10l of drinking water and bowl provided) but everything you need to enjoy a cosy, private night of peace at a great price. The toilet is in the same self-contained space. The Shed is priced based on 2 adult camping rates, but with the added benefit of a bed, electricity, tea, coffee and a roof over your head!
The garden is usually tidy, but sometimes there are piles of foliage or wood!

Access to The Pretty Shed is up a footpath that runs adjacent to my house, between my garden and a field, so you are able to come and go as you please. You can also self check-in at any time after check-in time. It is approximately 30m from car parking on the road, to the Shed, with a couple of steps up to it.

Other things to note
Own transport is useful to fully explore the area. However, a new bus service, the 522, about which we are all delighted, runs from Bristol to High Littleton and back again and from Bath to High Littleton and back again, hourly. Search 522 Bristol - Bath on bustimes. org. It stops just outside the house.

I live close by and will be able to show you around and answer any questions you have, but I will not be in the flat on a daily bases. You will be sharing the kitchen with a father and his 4 year old son. They are friendly and more than happy to converse and help out where needed.

Other things to note
The long term tenant you will be sharing with has a 6 year old son, how quite naturally, can be quite noisy especially if he has friends over. This will only be after school hours and at weekends and will not go on through the night.

Simple but cosy room at the side of the house, you will need to go out side to get to the indoor facilities approx 4 feet but there is a sink in the room.

Very private/quiet room with own entrance. Radiator, desk, chair, single bed with fresh bedding and a smart TV. There is also a kettle for a cup of tea in the morning.

There is a fan and electric heater in the room along with a radiator. Towels and dressing gown is provided for your comfort, to walk to and from the shower room.

The space
The room is attached to the main house but has its own entrance. The key safe will give you your key on check in. There is a sink in the room but not a toilet, that is assessable through the back door and into the main house.

Your private entrance ‘the cubby’ is the door to the left of the key safe ‘tincture tailor’. You can access the main house for the toilet and shower out of the back door of your room and into the French doors on the right, to the main house (these doors are always open). The downstairs toilet is opposite the fridge as you access the main house. You can use the fridge for perishables if you wish.

The main bathroom is located upstairs (first door on your left). Please use the slippers, flip flops a dressing gown provided in the room and take your towel and toiletries up with you. Please, no shoes in the house.

Other things to note
The kitchen is not for the use of guests, but you can use the microwave if you need to heat anything.
