The next morning when trying to cook breakfast dealt with broken bin which falls apart when use it, broken oven with a plastic piece that comes away so it doesn’t get hot enough, hob didn’t work in lite of following limited instructions in incomplete guide to apartment and searching online for a user guide so couldn’t cook which defeats having self catering option, especially for this 4 night stay, there was also a broken plastic shelf in fridge which would limit what you can store. I was staying with just my two children so didn’t feel comfortable chasing up all of these issues whilst meant to be on a break enjoying ourselves, especially after my husband had reported tv issue on arrival when he dropped us off. This was such a shame as it’s a lovely well located apartment. Really spoilt our visit as had wanted to cook breakfasts and evening meals."

- "A couple of nights away with the girls. The apartment was overall good. I should have checked when booking but there is no parking. The area Redlands is nice. The outside of the apartment needs tidying up. The beds and bedding were comfortable but when we went to make one of the beds into double (was a zip lock) the sheeting was filthy with bloody stains. The cleaner did come the next day to change the bedding but was a bit grim. The shower facilities weren’t great as the flow was very weak. We had also booked a two bed two bathroom apartment but the apartment was having some refurbishments so we were offered a three bedroom instead not realising it was only one bathroom which was a bit inconvenient. We liked the location and the comfortable beds there were just several niggles"

- "Brilliant location. Looks like a very new renovation to the whole building. Wonderful." - "The apartment is exceptional but very expensive for what you get. There sofa is not big enough for four people. The main problem are the windows at the front of the property facing the main road. There needs to more coverings as the blinds are usless. Also some black out curtains. The sun came up at 4.30am and we couldnt sleep. But to make things worse. The traffic noise was horrendous the vehicles might as well drove through the property. This went on all night with no rest bite. At one piont there was a couple talking out side the property early hours in the morning and woke us up and we could hear every word. So in short lovely property but not fit to sleep in. Got up absolutely exhausted not feeling rested. Fix the rubbish windows and fit some black out curtains. I would not recommend this property unless you dont need to sleep. "

It felt like a student house we chose this house on the way back from Devon as a stop over but we wouldn't stay here again it wasn't what we expected. It's not an apartment its a house so unsure why its listed as a flat. The check in wasn't very clear as the lockbox was at the back. The area isn't the greatest either. For a family it wasn't idea not child friendly at all."

The apartment is well situated close to the University and within short walking distance of most attractions such as the Suspension Bridge, The Downs, Clifton Village, Park Street and the Bristol Harbourside. Although Tudor House is located in a quiet neighbourhood in leafy Redland, just around the corner on Whiteladie's Road is great nightlife with restaurants, bars and pubs. The immediate environment is friendly and quiet with small shops and local pubs but the city centre is close by.

My apartment is in a restored beautiful Victorian house in wonderful quiet tree lined street just off the busy Whiteladies Road and Cotham Hill with their variety of restaurants and pubs. It is a comfy and homely base for exploring the prettiest parts of Bristol. Everything you come to Bristol for from the of Clifton village, the Zoo , the Harbour side and the city centre, is within 20 minutes walking distance. You can even walk or bike over the Suspension Bridge and the Ashton Park and beyond. The sunny patio with outdoor table and chairs can be used for morning breakfasts and evening drinks enjoying privacy of the garden. On street parking is usually available at a reasonable cost or free visitor parking permit can be arranged by prior arrangement. Free off street parking will be available from July 2022

The flat has a added security of a front door to the lobby with a private entrance to the first floor apartment. Guests can use all facilities within the apartment including the otside patio in the front garden. During the pandemic at the moment I am sometimes, when in Bristol, using the top floor apartment, which is completely self contained and separate, but accessed by common staircase. However I am currently back in Shanghai so this is not an issue.

Other things to note
There is an indoor qym equipment available if required, just let me know if you would like to have it there. The bedroom is large and some of the equipment can be located in there. Alternatively it can be removed and stored out of the way. Also my apartment has a number of original paintings and art objects from different parts of the world on display. It is a great opportunity to combine art, health and good food in great environment. The sofa bed is located normally in the bedroom but can be moved to the large living room to provide separate sleeping arrangement. Folding travel cot and baby chair can be provided on request for a couple with a baby or toddler.

“The Hayloft" is our recently renovated studio here at "Woodpeckers", attached to our family home, but completely separate with own entrance, kitchen & bathroom. At the end of a long private drive with off-street parking & next to woods, the only noise you'll hear is the birds in the morning!

Listing is for 3 people but we only accept 2 adults maximum plus 1 (or 2) young children.

Immaculately renovated space, with a fully fitted kitchen with hobs, oven and microwave plus all the pots, pans, crokery, cutlery, etc that you'll need. We also provde tea and coffee and fresh milk if needed. Newly fitted bathroom with shower, toilet and sink. Gas central heating and electrics are both independent from the main house supply.

There is a king-sized bed with memory foam mattress and a double sofa bed. Please contact us in advance to check the space will be sufficient for your needs. 2 adults and 1 (potentially 2) small children works fine. We also have a full size travel cot for use. We don’t take bookings for more than 2 adults, sorry it’s just a bit too snug!

There is wifi available plus direct CAT6 ethernet plug in point with Mac, USB and USB-C connections present for those needing to work with a higher speed connection.

There’s a 50” JVC smart TV (note some of the old photos show the 32” tele) with 200+ channels along with iPlayer, Netflix, etc installed for use with guests’ own accounts or an HDMI cable (supplied) allowing laptops (and tablets, etc with your own adapters) to be connected. In addition, and separate from the TV, there’s a DAB radio.
