- "The property was really good. Clean, tidy and well presented. My only issue was that the radiators were not as warm despite being on the highest setting. The bedroom especially was very cold. Another negative is upto now I have not received my deposit back. Surely you should have a system that works for returning deposits back. For two adults, both of whom are between six feet tall and over, it felt a little cramped. The cleanliness is average due to the fact that some of dressers and tables were a little rickety or had stains on them when we came in. No bugs of any kind, however, which was great. There are plenty of pots and pans, kitchen utensils for cooking, however there was no cookie or baking sheet so you'd have to use tin foil or buy a cooking pan. There also was no dish strainer so we went out and bought one of those as well so we could adequately do our own cooking. It has nothing to do with the property per se, but it was interesting that if you stay there and order out, or call cabs, for some reason most delivery drivers and cab drivers had huge issues finding the property. No matter who we called over several weeks staying there, the taxi drivers and delivery drivers would wait on the main street or drop us off somewhere on the same block but never at the exact address. So not sure if the address is somehow blocked or why it's confusing to them. Overall, I would say it was average or okay. The area seems safe and fine. Plenty of business people walking home from work or taking the bus. There's an Aldi supermarket about a fifteen minute walk if you know what direction to go in and lots of smaller shops. Oxford is about a fifteen minute taxi drive as well. "

Due to a faulty/bent front door lock, we had to sleep one night with the front door unable to close and barricaded with furniture. The repairmen were unable to fix it and promised to return in the morning. It took much convincing to get StayBeyond to send them in the first place, but we were happy when they showed up. They weren't able to fix it that night and took the door completely apart (leaving a loose screw after they put it back together). They said they would return the next morning between 8 and 10, but were not back on the property until late afternoon and I had to contact StayBeyond for any follow-up. This left us unable to leave the property from Saturday evening to Sunday late afternoon. Although I understand these things happen, the lacking concern for our safety or time from StayBeyond was completely disappointing. We have been in negotiations with them since the incident for some compensation, however they still claim that their repairmen are sure there is nothing wrong with the door - Nothing wrong with the door, yet we had to sleep with it open overnight. These lies are disappointing, and the fact that they will not listen to their customers' accounts, with photo, video and email evidence, is extremely frustrating. Do not book a StayBeyond property!"

My place is a victorian property superbly located at the meeting point of Oxford's historic High Street & the famous Cowley Road. It is an annex of a family home, with flexible accommodation for solo adventurers and business travellers. Nearby are bus links to London & Airports, Colleges, Botanical Gardens, lovely restaurants & cafes and parks. The space
From the annexe entrance lobby you enter a spacious studio with twin single beds, which includes a living/ dining area, twin seat sofa, large south facing windows, a television, and both wi-fi and networked internet connections. There is also a collection of antique model boats and old sailing books.
Towels and bed linen are provided.
From the studio there is a large en-suite walk-in wet room with shower, basin and wc.
The annexe contains a fully equipped kitchen accessed off the entrance lobby, with fridge/freezer, microwave, gas hob and oven. and clothes washing machine.
A drying rack, iron and ironing board are also provided.
The annexe was designed with disabled use in mind with ramped external access and extra wide doors with low level handles. Underfloor heating is provided throughout.
We have a large garden for you to relax in, overlooked by a mature oak tree with resident squirrels and the occasional woodpecker.
We provide detailed instructions on how to use the annexe, keys etc., on arrival.
We can provide a cot for a baby extra to the twin beds, at no extra charge.

The annexe is totally self-contained with external access to your own front door via a side gate to the property.

Parking
There is no parking for guests at the apartment as we are very central. Check out the Redbridge Park and Ride or Just Park for parking close to the apartment.

Kitchen Access/ Food/ Living Room
We do not offer access to any of our living areas such as kitchen, dining or living room I am afraid.

Having said this, we are located in the city centre and therefore have a fantastic range of cafes, fast food joints and fine dining restaurants within walking distance! As mentioned, there is a table and two chairs in your room if you’d prefer to get takeaway and eat food in your room. However, please be respectful when it comes to what types of foods you bring into the bedroom.

Light, self-contained annexe for one person, with own separate entrance. Off-road parking. We prefer long term bookings, but will accept a minimum of 7 nights at short notice. Because we work at home, teaching singing, the annexe is an ideal base for a working person who is out most of the day.

The space
The studio is self-sufficient, with en-suite bathroom, mini-cooker/oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, iron and hoover, plus Wifi connection and off-road parking. There are very frequent buses to the city centre, and the studio is well placed to get in and out of Oxford by car, or by train - Oxford Parkway station, with regular trains to London, is a 5-minute bus ride or 20-minute walk. The Summertown shops, with several restaurants and four supermarkets, are a 10-15 minute walk away.

Other things to note
The front of the house is on a busy road, but the studio is at the back, and many guests have commented on how quiet and peaceful it is.
