- "Great location and friendly staff. Quality was excellent. Will definitely go back " - "This is a lovely old tavern with comfortable accommodation. The staff were fantastic, really friendly and helpful, and it is in a great location. There are plenty of references to the White Star Line, in particular the Titanic, which was very interesting. The food was nice, especially breakfast, and there was even a pub quiz on our second night which we really enjoyed. We stayed here for three nights before joining a cruise. There were so many people doing the same thing on that day that there were no taxis available, however it was actually a reasonably easy walk to the cruise terminal. As this is an old building there is no lift, so it can be a little difficult to get big suitcases up to the room, but this was made clear to us, and there is no problem leaving luggage on the ground floor and just taking an overnight bag upstairs. We stayed for one more night after we returned from the cruise, all in all, it is a very nice place to stay."

We had breakfast every morning with a great selection from cereal to cooked food, American pancakes and full English, Lots of fruit and juices as well as coffee and tea were available. The room I was given had a disabled bathroom. The bedroom had plenty of room for my walker."
