- "Lovely B&B at Dartmouth - on arrival we were upgraded to a front bedroom with a lovely view overlooking the river. The breakfast was excellent with a wide selection of cereals, fruit, & homemade smoothies & muffins. Very friendly owners offered a selection of cooked breakfast as well" - "I stay away 3/4 times a month with work and had I not been dining with suppliers locally would probably have missed this gem. They moved breakfast forward 20 minutes to allow for an early departure for me and what a breakfast! The fresh fruit, eggs benedict and the banana/strawberry smoothie were all 10/10 whilst I had a superb view over the harbour. The fresh milk and drinks in the room was also great, along with the shortbread biscuits. But the highlight for me was the bed. I intended to watch a film on the tv but didn't get passed the opening credits as it was too comfortable! Credit where credit is due. No wonder they've been voted Devon's best B&B."

Crumbs on the sofa and visibly dirty dusty carpet, the mattress was deeply stained brown and filled with crumbs and food waste under it. Has some cute features throughout , however, the biggest issue with this property is the incredibly vile smell of drainage or sewage that permeates in the living room. You cannot be in that room without the windows open and spraying air freshener. This isn’t an environmental thing, it is very much the house. The bedrooms don’t smell like this, only the living room area. It makes the room unusable and unpleasant to be in the house. This needs investigating and solving asap as it is disgusting and a major turn off on what otherwise was an average place. "

The flat is centrally located just 5 minutes’ walk to Dartmouth harbour and the main amenities of the town. The duplex apartment has two double bedrooms and sleeps up to 4. The property is modern and light with open plan lounge/kitchen area on the top floor with Juliette windows providing views towards Kingswear and the River Dart. The property also benefits from a large south-facing roof terrace and permit for Mayors Avenue public car park which is 100 yards away.

The space
The property was completely renovated and refurbished in 2023 therefore reviews prior to this date relate to the property in its previous condition.

Please also note, the flat is duplex and there are two steep narrow staircases which may be unsuitable for young children and those with limited mobility.

There is restricted headroom (under 180cm) in a couple of places and a large step (30 cm) which leads from the road to the communal front door to the building.

Two of the three beds in the property are double sofa beds and can sleep up to two people. One of them is located in the living room.

The Bolthole is a compact & cosy detached open plan studio with garden. Strictly no pets. Quiet & private it’s located down from street level and just a few 100 metres from the River Dart which is possible to see from the garden terrace. A few minutes walk to the passenger & car ferries for the short trip over to Dartmouth. Perfect for the coastal path. Street parking is free a few minutes walk from the property & paid parking is in the marina

The space
The Bolthole is a compact detached open plan 1 bed studio in the heart of Kingswear just above the River Dart and Waterhead Creek. It’s located down a set of stairs from street level and is self contained with a little garden. There is a kingsize bed, kitchenette, dining table with 2 chairs and small bathroom. It has a coastal feel by way of white washed T&G timber and a hardwood waxed wooden floor reclaimed from marina boards having been weathered for 20 years. It has a lovely little garden from where it is possible to see the River Dart, the hills in the distance and Waterhead Creek. You can retreat from the hustle and bustle of Dartmouth in the garden and enjoy the evening sun. The idea and inspiration was to create a space to escape to and the perfect base to explore South Devon & Cornwall. The King-size bed has a memory foam mattress and white cotton bed linen, we also provide bath towels and hand towels. There is tea, coffee, sugar, oil, salt, pepper, handwash, toilet roll and washing up liquid. We no longer provide milk as it was rarely used, however the local shop is just a five minute walk away. You can cook in the well equipped kitchenette. Natural light floods in and the garden has the afternoon and evening sun accessed via double doors that open to the oak steps up to the deck with 2 seating areas for morning & evening sun.

Little Haven Too has been newly decorated and has a relaxing, stylish feel with all the home comforts you would expect and more from such a compact but beautifully formed English chalet.

The well-equipped kitchen is complete with oven, grill and hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, kettle and toaster. There is a sitting area with TV and a separate bedroom with double bed with soft linen and bamboo bedding.

There is a table and two chairs so you can sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the sunset.

There is a large car park at the end of the path and parking is free. The chalet is all on one level with a level walk from the car park.

There isn't an iron and ironing board but instead, there is a hook to hang your clothes on whilst you use the handheld steamer..

Detached chalet 10 mins from Dartmouth. The property is located on a quiet holiday park which has no clubhouse. It is less than a mile from nearby supermarkets & Park and Ride into town.

The Chalet has beautiful views over the surrounding hill sides. Its a 5 minute drive into Dartmouth. The chalet has an open plan kitchen, living and dining room and 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other a double. There are timber clad feature walls and modern furniture through out. It feels like the perfect little beach hide away.
