Dartside 55 is a completely refurbished two bedroom chalet on the Norton Park development just outside of Dartmouth town. Sleeping up to five guests in two bedrooms and set in beautiful surroundings. All on the ground floor.

Fully refurbished in 2022 Dartside 55 is a holiday chalet located within the extremely popular Norton Park Holiday Chalets Centre just outside Dartmouth, Devon. It has two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed with an open wardrobe with drawers. The second bedroom contains a triple bunk bed (full size double bed on the bottom and full-size single bed for the top bunk) with an open wardrobe with drawers. The bathroom consists of a stylish full size vanity unit with sink, 900mm electric shower, washer dryer and toilet. The open plan living space includes a corner sofa, armchair, dining table (which is extendable) and six chairs and TV. The modern kitchen features integrated appliances including dishwasher, fridge, oven with grill. For the outside space there is a fold away garden table and two chairs.
Norton Park is a holiday chalet complex located approx. 2 miles from the centre of Dartmouth and the glorious River Dart. Norton Park is set within 22 acres, consisting of 260 holiday chalets. You are free to roam this beautiful countryside that has stunning views of the river Dart and the South Devon coast. The site looks to Start Bay on one side and Old Mill Creek on the other. There is no club house or shop on site (nearest supermarkets are less than a mile away). There is free parking for more than one car. There is a bus stop outside the park or taxis are readily available. You are a 5 to 10 minute drive from the beautiful village of Dittisham located on the River Dart, 5 minute drive into Dartmouth town and the nearest beach is 4 miles away at Blackpool Sands. Woodlands theme park is also 5 minute drive away. There is so much for you to do in the area.

The space
Compact and bijou this bespoke designed and crafted cabin gives you access to incredible coastal and woodland views.

This clever design enables The Birdhouse (Little Owl) to sit on a stilt frame overlooking Blackpool Sands.

But outside is your own private decking to enjoy the sounds and views.

There is a private bathroom cabin, which has a large shower, toilet, sink and hot and cold water.
Everything is off-grid but we have worked hard to make it as comfortable as if you were on-grid.

Guest access
You will be staying on the stunning privately owned Blackpool Sands Estate.

As a guest, you have access to a private onsite car park, private decking, the Captains Cabin (communal kitchen) plus a walk through the stunning gardens to a secret garden door to access the beach (wildcomfort is as close as you can get to Blackpool Sands beach).

Set in a Victorian Planters garden, this space will be well marked for guests to find their way around the paths and access to the beach etc.

The gardens will have the estate owners and wildcomfort working onsite from time to time (pruning, etc) but great care is taken to not disturb guests.

(We ask guests to just stick to the wildcomfort paths only due to the special nature of this site and the wildlife).

Other things to note
wildcomfort is unable to welcome babies or children under 8 years of age due to safety requirements. (You children over 8yrs must have an adult stay in the birdhouse with them I.e. if you book two cabins, children cannot stay alone in one of them)

Little owl is part of WILDCOMFORT, an off-grid site with an emphasis on comfort and enjoying the full experience of the Victorian woodland site and accessing Blackpool Sands beach directly below us.

You will share the paths and Captains Cabin (communal kitchen) with these guests (max. 8 - 9) other lovely guests - of you even bump into them).

We're on a hill. The South Hams by nature is hilly, therefore some people may find our site a little challenging so please ask questions before booking and look at the photos.

THINGS TO NOTE:
- The paths are maintained but they are mainly grass/wild grass with some bare soil areas where worn down and can get very slippery after rain or dew - please be careful and wear appropriate shoes.

- It's also worth noting the drive into wildcomfort is a track, not a sealed road but again it is pretty well-maintained and short.

- You cannot drive your car to the cabins, you must park below in the car park (free) and walk your bags up a very short hill. Wheelbarrow available as a' luggage trolley’.

- Honey Buzzard birdhouse + bathroom cabin sits nearby Little Owl - approx. 10m distance between them. However, they have privacy on their own deckings to enjoy the stunning views.
This unique site is also home to The Lookout, which also has its own private space further down in the woodland.)
