There's a sun terrace and guests can use free Wifi and free private parking. The property is set in 5 acres of broadleaf woodland close to Cardiff (8 miles away) Newport (6 miles away), there are regular buses running through the village(every half hour) , the nearest train station is Crosskeys (25 mins walk, Ebbw Vale Line).
We provide bedding and towels, you may want to bring your own for hot-tub, there are many walks within a 3 mile radius and we also have the Wonderfull Brecon Beacons national park which is a 30 minute drive from us.
Pets are welcome in the lodge, but we ask that they don't tear at the furniture, and would appreciate you bringing your own blankets to cover the sofas.
Check-in is from 2-9pm
Check-out is 11am.
We do not do group bookings for males or females, we will only do contractors.

The Lodge is Self Catering, which consists of 3 bedrooms, a Double room, a single room and a twin room. The lodge has its own bathroom with walk in shower adequate for wheelchair users. The Kitchen has most utensils and crockery, fridge freezer, microwave and toaster, ample room in the lounge with a 3 seater and 2 seater sofas and a round table to seat 5 people. The lodge has free wi-fi, Smart T.V, all bedding is supplied along with shower and hand towels.
To the outside is a veranda, steps to the front and ramp to the side, there is also a BBQ area opposite the lodge. Pets Welcome

The kitchen has a fridge, a hob, an oven, a toaster, a kettle, a coffee maker, a dishwasher, a freezer and a microwave.

This lodge has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep 6.
In the first bedroom, you will find a double bed.
In the next bedroom, there is a double bed.
The third bedroom contains 2 single beds.

There are 2 bathrooms.
The first bathroom has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower.
The second bathroom has a toilet and sink and a walk-in shower.

Linen, towels, a hair dryer and an iron are all included to make your stay more enjoyable. We also have a high chair, 2 travel cots, linen for these are not provided.

The Pink House in Rhiwderin, Newport, sleeps five guests in three bedrooms.

The living areas in this home consist of a kitchen/diner with an electric oven, gas hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, and dishwasher, a utility with washing machine, and a living/dining room with TV and woodburning stove. The bedrooms consist of a double with TV, a further double, and a single, serviced by a bathroom. Outside there is a multi-level garden with patio, Astroturf and furniture, and off-road parking for one car with additional roadside parking. This is a smoke-free home. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. You'll find a shop in 1.2 miles, a pub in 0.2 miles, and Ebbw River in 1.5 miles. With numerous biking trails & walking tracks, its great for active people, but also for those who want to "chill". Home to a rare pair of Northern Goshawks, you may well spot them during your visit. With stunning sunsets & clear night skies you're sure to get some great photos! Located near Cardiff & not far from the Brecon Beacons or National Heritage Coastline there is plenty to do

The space
Goshawk Lodge is a very cosy, spacious and well equipped cabin with a Double Bed and heated blanket, wood burning fire, modern kitchen, shower room & toilet, most comfortable reclining sofa and modern 42 inch TV with decent quality broadband. There is also a dining table (and 4 chairs) that could be used by those people who need to do a little work in a quiet and relaxing environment.
Outside the main entrance there is also a covered area with settee and multi-gym, where you can "work-out" or just relax enjoying the fabulous location.
The lodge has widespread decking, with table, chairs and "loungers", and it has a dedicated BBQ and fire pit area (with plenty of wood provided) ....and amazing views.
In the winter you can relax & cuddle up watching TV in front of the cosy wood-burner, whereas in summer you can enjoy the outside area, having a BBQ or sitting in front of the firepit at night with a bottle of wine enjoying the great sunsets and later on the clear starlit skies!
As you can imagine Welsh water doesn’t quite reach us "Exploring folks" (in common with many other mountain locations), so we have installed a water harvesting system, using filtered and UV treated rain water - this is tested and is of a high quality for all normal uses, - we also provide plenty of bottles of Welsh Mineral water , "the fountain of eternal youth".. to drink
