- "Fantastic find. Lovely views. We were blessed with new born lambs to watch. It's quiet apart from a variety of bird song, lovely. Each pod is labelled and has a discrete fencing/ stone wall for privacy. The hut itself was clean and in great condition and a good temperature. Perfect size for a couple. There is a double sofa bed for 2 more, but that would be extremely cosy. Kitchen area is fine for self catering. Don't bring too much as the fridge is small, but it does have a tiny ice box for ice blocks and ice cubes. There's a little hob in the cupboard which was handy, and a microwave. If you do plan cooking, note the microwave doesn't have an oven feature. Bathroom is a nice size. Hosts were friendly and responded quickly when we'd misread the instructions so wondered which pod we were in - oops. They added a birthday banner and balloon for my partner's birthday, plus bottle of prosecco and toblerone bar - lovely touch. Finding the place was a little tricky as we headed up from Malham, so was heading from Hawes towards Leyburn - the instructions were from the other direction lol. We got there though. There's a nice parking area with electric charger if you have an electric car. Overall, an excellent stay and we plan to go back. "

Our Biomass Heating System

As part of our commitment to sustainability and responsible farming, all of our accommodation is heated using a biomass system powered by a Farm 2000 Big Bale Biomass Burner. This renewable energy source provides all the hot water and central heating for the cottages and other on-site buildings.

The system is fuelled by linseed straw bales, grown and baled right here on our farm. By using a natural by-product of our crops, we avoid fossil fuels entirely, reduce carbon emissions, and make use of materials that would otherwise go to waste. This closed-loop process helps us to run a more eco-friendly and self-sufficient site.

The Farm 2000 Biomass Burner is specifically designed for large bale combustion and is widely recognised in rural settings for its efficiency and low environmental impact. However, there may be occasions—particularly when bales have been affected by damp weather—where you might notice temporary smoke emissions from the chimney, especially during the morning and evening fuel cycles.

Please rest assured this is a normal part of the system’s operation and is actively managed to minimise smoke and ensure clean, efficient burning. Without it, we wouldn't be able to provide the comfortable, reliable heating and hot water that our guests enjoy.

The cabin is separate from the main house with a private entrance and key safe. It is situated in a peaceful, quiet and beautiful garden.

It caters adequately for 1 or 2 people with a double bed, a table, 2 chairs, wardrobe, chest of drawers, beside tables, coat and umbrella stand, electric towel heater, television, air conditioner, shower, hand basin, toilet, kitchen area with microwave, sink and fridge. Parking is available in the street or on the driveway.

Watchet is an historic, picturesque harbour town; complete with steam railway, museums, cafes, restaurants & pubs. The Cabin is situated on the edge of our garden facing down the valley with scenic views and a peaceful setting. It is an ideal place to relax and a great base from which to explore the beautiful Dorset coast and countryside. If you like wildlife you may spot deer, hares, kestrels, buzzards and barn owls.
It's open plan with a light and pleasant lounge space, sleeping nook containing a very comfortable double bed, kitchen with a fridge/freezer and 2 ring gas hob and a compact shower room.

The space
The cabin is an ideal place to relax and a great base for cyclists , walkers, horse riders or explorers.
There is no live tv but the free streaming services are available or log into your own accounts for a quiet night in.
The double bed is extremely comfortable with a duvet to keep you snug and french linen curtains around it making it a cosy nook.
The bathroom has a powerful shower. The kitchen area has a fridge/freezer, two ring gas hob and combi-microwave which are perfect for light cooking and preparing lunches etc. There is also a bbq/fire pit so you can sit outside and stargaze.

Guest access
The cabin is at the top of a farm track that goes uphill. You can park right outside the cabin.

Dogs are welcome upon request. The garden around the cabin is fenced.

Nestled on the banks of Loch Etive, this charming 2 bedroom one and a half storey self catering chalet has glorious views and magnificent sunsets. The self catering accommodation is quietly positioned in Old Shore Road on the outskirts of Connel Village. The Boathouse Chalet is a peaceful and picturesque place to spend a relaxing holiday and an ideal base to explore this wonderfully scenic area of Scotland.

Each stay will enable us to plant 1m of hedge or plant 2 trees as we are actively trying to plant hedgerows and trees, which play a crucial role in supporting biodiversity.

The space
Each cabin is beautifully appointed with a double bedroom, bathroom with power shower, toilet and sink. Central heating and hot water is provided by a combi boiler. The five ring hob, grill and oven are powered by gas. The kitchen includes a fridge freezer.

There is a double sofa which can also be transformed into a double sofa bed.

There is a 28" Smart TV and wifi available.

Beautiful views and stunningly peaceful.

There is a wheel barrow at the nominated parking space for assistance in moving your luggage to the cabin.

Each cabin is set within approximately 1/4 acre which you can enjoy during your stay.

It is a fantastic location to use as a base for cycling, walking, fishing and exploring Northumberland. The dark night skies allow for the opportunity to stargaze. The peaceful surrounds and unobstructed views at Fell Farm Hideaway provide great energy for the soul.

There is over 25 different species of birds which you might catch sight of along with over 5 species of butterfly, hares, bats, grass hoppers and wild flowers.

This is a working farm with livestock.
One well behaved dog is allowed but must be kept on a lead to ensure the safety of all animals.

Please ensure you pick up after your dog to prevent the inadvertent spread of diseases to the closed herd of cows and sheep that share fell house farm with us. Dog bins will be provided around the site.

The cabins are nestled within a field, the rest of the field is fenced off from the cabins but you may get to see and hear the cows up close.

There is a short walk from your allocated parking space to your cabin along a gravel path. We have provided wheelbarrows at your allocated parking space to aid with unpacking your luggage. The path is lit with solar lights.
