It is a very beautiful cottage and it was set up with a beautiful Christmas tree. The host was very friendly and helpful, and had the fire in the living room set up burning already, and the hot tun already set up ready to go. It was very clean and everything is very modern and just beautiful. Unfortunately we didnt get to spend much time admiring the views because it was raining a and very windy/ cold. Without the kids we could have done more exploring but with little ones had to keep them in the warmth. The cottage has everything you need, even a dishwasher. There was tea, coffee and sugar, some little milk pots in the fridge. We bought our own snacks and water and ordered take away and collected it. My suggestion would be to add a bigger sweeping brush for those of us with munching kids. There is a small dust pan and brush anyway. In the garden there is a big hottub, a tv outside, seating area etc. I saw am outside heater thing in one of the pics before going but didnt see that in cottage A. Maybe next time i will ask so we can sit outside with some heat on. I would highly recommend and very safe for families. For the price, its a bit expensive to for us to stay often i think because of having four kids, but i think for 2 people the price was between 100-120 on some sites. We payed 289.00 for the night so a bit expensive. "

A delightful single storey cottage to sleep 4 plus one small dog with patio garden and private parking. Situated in the pretty village of West Burton in Wensleydale with views to open fields and stately Penhill from the patio. Enjoy West Burton with its pretty waterfall, perfect for wild swimming and large village green. Great village shop and butchers and sometimes the Smithy Antiques is open for business. Wonderful walks from the doorstep even to Aysgarth Falls.

The space
The much acclaimed village of West Burton boasts a large, sloping green at its heart but arrival and departure from the green is through two narrow roads known as Front and Back Nooks. In the Front Nook Hazeley Cottage, a delightful cottage for four, stands elevated from the roadway viewing down the road and towards the lower slopes of Penhill with the village green and Cauldron falls around the corner, just a moments walk away. The cottage is a single story dwelling and was originally the coach house for The Mount which is one of the grander adjacent houses overlooking the green. It has been recently renovated and provides a high standard of accommodation.

Access from the road is up five small steps to a patio garden which runs the full length of the cottage. Alternatively there is also a separate vehicle and level pedestrian access to a private parking area to the rear of the cottage which also serves three other properties and is linked to Hazeley by a private, wide gravel path. The patio garden is perfect for sitting in the sun and gazing at the wonderful view from the lower patio.

There are two entrance doors from the patio, one to the dining room and the other, preferred entrance opening to a stylish, well-equipped kitchen with everything needed for family catering. To the left of the kitchen is a dining room which in turn leads down two small shallow steps to a comfortable lounge with an electric stove, oak flooring and a large bow window with window seat which views over the patio, down the nook and also over the fields to the lower slopes of Penhill.

To the right of the kitchen a hallway with a cloak hanging area gives access to a bathroom with bath, overhead shower, washbasin and toilet and two bedrooms, one with a super king bed, which can be made into two singles if you prefer, and a bedroom with twin beds.

A lovely cosy cottage bordering a long patio garden which is a beautiful sun trap, just perfect for those alfresco wine and dine evenings. The rooms are quite modern in concept but uphold the traditional with oak doors and a blend of oak and pine furniture mixed with antique items. West Burton is in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and is a great base to explore from with easy access to many footpaths that cross the dales and a good centre for travelling around the Dales National Park and beyond by car or by bicycle too!

Internal b and c roads in the Machars are fascinating and surprising. Good for cycling walking and car journeys see maps in cottage. I do recommend Drumwalt Loch 2 miles away, parking lay-by on shore of a beautiful Loch. Shore with sand is 2 miles from the door. Also Cock Inn 2 1/2 miles away great for pub grub and a lovely beach and the starting point of a circular walk (details in the cottage).

Cobweb is a stylish holiday cottage set in a remote hamlet, a romantic getaway, situated on the Devon tidal riverside of the beautiful River Tamar, providing comfortable self-catering accommodation for two.. Very nearby is the lovely old Market Town of Tavistock with its covered Market (antiques on Tues). Mining was the mainstay of this area, so Morwellham Quay takes you back to the Victorian times with a trip into a mine. Dartmoor is also very close with exciting walks onto the moor.

A modern cosy barn conversion in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the fringe of the Blackdown Hills and Jurassic coast ANOB. Close to the coast and in easy reach of Lyme Regis, Beer and Branscombe as well as being conveniently located for outdoor activities in the countryside. The Nest is Grade II listed and the property is believed to have been built over 500 years ago during the reign of Henry VIII.

The space
Entry is up some stone steps to the first floor where a small well equipped kitchen area is located and also the dining and seating areas. Down the stairs from the kitchen area is the bedroom with generous cupboard and drawer space and a comfortable double bed. There is a modern bathroom with a shower and toilet and under the stairs there is a washing machine.

Guest access
There are 7 acres of land, which guests are welcome to use, and many walks on the doorstep.

Other things to note
Four of the seven acres are traditional wild flower meadow that guests are welcome to enjoy. We also keep chickens, sheep and bees. When the chickens are laying, guests are welcome to purchase fresh free range eggs. There may even be some honey too.

A note on wifi. Being in a rural area we have not yet been connected to super-fast broadband. As a result wifi speeds reflect this.
