So we went back, checked in and fell in love with the cottage and the area. Down by the bridge we found a delightful path leading to water falls. Guest Reviews:

- "Did not expect bathrooms in every room! This is good but just for a large family, but for any large group. The walk to the town center is short and pleasant. Nearby cleaners do drop off laundry service. The kitchen, diving room, and living room are ample." - "Our family of 4 plus 2 more adult relatives enjoyed our time in Inverness as much as our easy day trips into the Highlands from there. This is despite the car trouble we had — because Andy and Maureen went above and beyond to help us get it sorted. Many, many thanks for being such gracious hosts and good neighbors! This is a lovely, newly refurbished and meticulously cared for property in a quiet part of town (but just 5-10 minutes walk into all the action across the river). Everyone had a clean, functional bathroom of their own. We took advantage of the table and chairs in the back garden to play cards under the Summer solstice night sky. We also used the nice laundromat just around the corner and the convenience store across the street. All the people we met were so kind and fun. Book dinner in advance at the Mustard Seed (or it’s sister restaurant Kitchen) and catch some live music at Hootananny. Don’t miss walking up the river to the Ness Islands! We will always smile when we think of Inverness!"

- "We traveled to Inverness from Baltimore, Maryland and Miami, Florida, had missed connections, arrived late - driving on the wrong side of the road (for us) and in the dark, with what seemed like limited directions (directions were, in fact, accurate and this all would have been easier in the daylight)- we felt it was divine intervention that we found the place. We arrived safe and sound to a lovely suburban home. Everything was great. A lovely gift basket was provided, and we actually fed the birds with the bird food provided to us. We were gone most of the time exploring Loch Ness, the Urquhart Castle, and feeding the Hairy Coos, but it was nice to have a home base. We made our own breakfast each morning in the well-equipped kitchen, took advantage of being able to do laundry and actually played the trivia game from the book shelf. If there wasn’t so much of the world that we still need to see, we would definitely return to Inverness and to this property. We only stayed two nights as Edinburgh and Glasgow were calling. Thanks for everything. "

- "Very well located, furnished and comfortable." - "We used this home as our base for visiting areas around Inverness such as the Isle of Skye, Loch Ness, etc. and it was a perfect location for doing so. Although it is on the other side of the river from Church Street where all the action is, the pedestrian bridge over the river makes it only a short walk to get to Church Street. Also, the location has multiple nice pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, and bakeries nearby on that side of the river so we only went across when we wanted to venture over. The backyard was a nice place to enjoy the nice weather and the home, although older, has a lot of character to it and is very clean. We really enjoyed our stay here."

Guest Reviews:

- "We are here visiting Scotland for our daughter’s graduation. We absolutely loved the house and location. The only thing I wish I had noticed was there is an extra charge for the BBQ and hot tub. Would highly recommend! Communicating with the owner was super easy and he was quick to respond." - "A group of 8 of us ranging from 14-64 stayed for 3 nights during our visit to Scotland. The house, property, and surrounding area are just wonderful. Fort Augustis is only 15 minutes away for shopping and dining. Our only issues were that we chose the cottage specifically because of the hot tub and use of laundry, however both the hot tub and the clothes dryer stopped working on us on our last day. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend the property to other visitors."

- "The house is located in a great location, just above the Market Brae steps, making it central to most places in the city center. The house is old, but very well kept. Two of the bedrooms are located on the second floor and a third, with its own bathroom, on the third. Stairs are a bit of a struggle, if you're not used to them, but not a huge issue. One minor negative is that there is a little bit of street noise from pedestrians on their way out of the city center after the bars closing. Usually happens after midnight and into the wee hours. Lots of loud voices and sometimes singing and yelling. Again, not a huge issue for us, but be aware. We like to sleep with the window open, so maybe more obvious to us. We'll definitely stay here again."
