Rowlands is a self catering accommodation in the heart of the Highlands. Rowlands is a 4 bedroom cottage, sleeping 8 plus 1 baby. Dogs welcome. Large garden with patio, outdoor seating and storage shed. Rowlands has been completely renovated, extended and re-furnished in 2011, well maintained and equipped to excellent standards. Located in a pleasant residential area, the cottage is just 5 minutes walk from the golf course and 15 minutes walk from the village centre. The open countryside around Aviemore is just metres away. Aviemore is in the centre of Scotland’s great outdoors. Dominated by the wild Cairngorm mountains and surrounded by rivers, lochs and Caledonian forest, Aviemore is the ideal base for year round activities and offers walking, mountain biking, winter sports, golf, fishing and climbing. It is also a family resort, with swimming pools, children's play areas and soft play in the village and plenty of places to visit in the surrounding area

In 2011 we completely renovated, extended and re-furnished our house so we can now offer accommodation for 8 plus one baby. We offer 4 bedrooms (2 doubles, 1 twin and 1 bunks) and 2 bathrooms as well as open plan living. We have chosen a modern and contemporary design for our living space, with all the usual electrical appliances you would expect and we have furnished our house to a high standard. There is also a high chair and travel cot (bring your own bedding). The price you pay includes bedding, towels, electricity and water - there are no hidden charges. We are pleased to accept pets by arrangement. We offer free wireless broadband throughout the house and all bedrooms have TV/DVD players with Freesat.

Living/dining room area: The open plan dining/living room contains 2 comfortable leather sofas and dining space for 8 people. There is an LCD TV, DVD player, Freesat HD TV and CD/radio player. Kitchen area: the kitchen is fitted with contemporary units and has a fridge/freezer, electric cooker with a double oven, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier.

Downstairs bedrooms: at the front of the cottage we have a king-size double (which can be converted into 2 single beds) with a built in wardrobe and an additional pine tallboy offering ample hanging and shelf space. At the back of the cottage, we have a twin room with a built in wardrobe and pine drawers. The downstairs bathroom had a drench shower over the bath as well as the sink and toilet.

Upstairs bedrooms: the main bedroom offers a king-size double with windows on both sides, including a dormer offering views of the Craigellachie Hills; there is also a wardrobe, drawers and a changing table. The final bedroom has a full size set of bunk beds and a chest of drawers and views of the Craigellachie Hills through a dormer window. The upstairs bathroom offers a large shower cubicle with electric shower as well as the sink and toilet.

Outside: The house is surrounded on 2 sides by a lawned garden, offering ample space for barbecues. Outdoor furniture is provided for dining or seating outside and we have also built a paved patio area with a wooden picnic table and seats for 8. There is off road parking for 3 cars. We provide a small shed for storage of your outdoor equipment such as skis/boards, mountain bikes and golf clubs.

Through the front door you’ll find a hallway with plenty of coat hooks for your layers, along with a separate toilet. The living/dining room is a great space with ample seating at the dining table. The kitchen is spacious and you will find all the modern amenities you will need to rustle up hearty meals after long days out exploring in the Cairngorms. There is a door out into the enclosed back garden which has garden furniture and a patio. There are mature trees surrounding most of the garden making it feel very private and to top it off there is a charcoal BBQ to enjoy al fresco dining on the warm summer days. Back into the house there are two spacious bedrooms, one a double and one twin. There is also a modern bathroom with rain shower over bath.

Uaine Cottage is situated in the ever-popular Aviemore. Tucked away in a quiet part of town, close to a bend in the River Spey. However, it is only a ten minute walk from all of the pubs, restaurants and cafés in Aviemore thanks to a lovely little footpath. As well as many fabulous independent places to eat and drink, Aviemore has much more to offer. Being a hub for the Cairngorms National Park, you are ideally located for setting off to the mountains and have plenty of adventure. Whether you visit in the summer or winter, there’s a whole host of activities to enjoy. Hiking, mountain biking and fishing are popular in the summer, and come winter you can pursue the best skiing, snowshoeing and winter walking in the UK.

Being in Aviemore gives you a great opportunity to explore other places in the area, as the the property is situated just off the A9. You can journey down the Spey and visit the charming neighbouring villages of Carrbridge, Boat of Garten and Nethy Bridge, and continue to see the Speyside distilleries. You could also explore this area on foot by walking the Speyside Way, or hopping on and off the steam railway. Inverness is only 30 minutes away by car, and if you want to go further afield and explore some other mountains, you can be in Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis in just over two hours. Closer to home, Loch Morlich is just 7 miles away, with a wonderful sandy beach known as the highest beach in the UK! The new dining area features a solid oak table which can accommodate 6 in comfort and has sliding doors onto decking.

There is a brand new well-equipped kitchen with everything you need including an induction hob, oven/grill, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a Nespresso machine, air fryer, toaster and kettle. There is an island with views into the garden and seating for four.

The three bedrooms are clean and fresh - one king size room with Ensuite, one double room and a bunk room (with one double bottom bunk and a single bunk on top). All bedrooms have wardrobes, drawers and bedside tables. The master bedroom has an ensuite with WC and shower. All bedrooms have wall mounted smart TVs.

We are certain you will sleep well in this wonderfully peaceful location.

As well as the wood burning stove in the lounge, the recently upgraded electric heating provides wifi app controlled radiators in the bedrooms, lounge/kitchen and dining room. The ensuite and bathroom are warmed by underfloor heating and towel radiators. The recently upgraded hot water system provides ample hot water and there is an excellent high-pressure rain shower in the bathroom which is of course essential for any holiday.

The cottage has recently had high quality new double glazing and doors installed which ensure the property is cozy all year round.

The large garden is sunny, private and fully-enclosed which makes it great for kids and dogs. There is a decking area with rattan furniture as well as a large picnic bench and parasol. There is a whirligig for drying your washing and wetsuits etc. There is a charcoal BBQ which guests are welcome to use.

Our guests are welcome to use the tennis racquets/balls and selection of outdoor games.

Scotland is known for four seasons in a day – for those days where you choose to stay in the cottage for the day we are sure that you will find it comfortable and well-equipped for all the family.

The property is serviced by a trusted local management company who are on hand 24/7 to deal with any domestic emergencies.

Entering via the front door there is a small boot room. The spacious and inviting living room awaits with wood burner. Through the living room the dining room and conservatory are located. The conservatory soaks up both the sun and the best views of the mountains with the ski runs visible. From the dining room is the good sized kitchen. It also has a large utility room attached to it with a door to the enclosed garden, which is perfect for dogs to come in and out of. The bedrooms are all en-suite and have TVs. There’s a double and twin both with en-suite shower rooms, and the master bedroom has a bath as well as shower.

Rowan Cottage is a very large detached property and would suit a family or friends who want to get out exploring in the countryside. There are trails at every turn, skiing at the right time of year not far away, plenty of water sport opportunities, and fishing galore on the nearby Spey river. Thankfully there’s equipment storage available to guests to use with space for multiple bicycles and even a canoe or two.

Aviemore is possibly one of the best locations for a Scottish Highlands holiday and adventure at any time of the year. The town and area transforms between summer and winter, from pure adventure capital to alpine town in the winter. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Charming 1800's cottage in the heart of the Cairngorm National Park with amazing walks straight out the door and into the hills.

ATTENTION - Before making a booking please be sure to read about our snowy weather access (Nov - March) and our private water supply. Our water is to be boiled before drinking.

The space
Milton Cottage is nestled in the foothills of the stunning Cairngorm mountains. It is completely secluded and thus the perfect get away for restorative weekends and nature lovers. The cottage is basic but full of character and charm.

The cottage is located off the B970 road and a 1/2 mile further up a rough track. A mountain stream runs right down in front of the cottage and from the front door you can walk straight up into the hills or over to Loch Morlich along forest paths.

Inside you will find a snug sitting room with a wood burning stove, an old fashioned kitchen with all the essentials, a bathroom with a deep free-standing bath and upstairs two bedrooms - 1x twin and 1x double.

Please note - the cottage is very much in nature and that is part of its charm but it is not for everyone. Winters can be tough in such an old building and so we try and deter anyone who needs their creature comforts. If you are expecting central heating and a power shower then we are really not the place for you! However if you are looking for total isolation, incredible walks from the doorstep, a deep bath to soak in at the end of the day and a cosy wood burning stove then you'll love it!

We want you to feel completely at home at Milton. You have use of all the rooms. The cupboards on the upstairs landing are used for our own personal storage so we kindly ask guests not to use those.

PRIVATE WATER SUPPLY: BOIL ADVISORY

Water supplied to some properties in Scotland, particularly those located in more remote areas, may come from a private source separate from the regular mains supply. Our private water source at Milton comes from a mountain stream and at certain times of year contains peat which can give it a slightly yellow colour. Although the quality of this water is usually acceptable for drinking, under certain circumstances the quality may be lower than you would expect from a public supply. We advise guests to boil the water for 1 minute before drinking. If the idea of peaty water is not for you, we suggest you do not book to stay at Milton.

FIRE WOOD

Please note we do not provide fire wood so you will need to pick some logs up in nearby Aviemore. You can do this at the petrol station or Aldi. If you do find some logs in the basket then we kindly ask that you replace what you use

DOGS

We do allow dogs in the cottage but will need prior notification. We charge an additional £20 cleaning fee if you do bring one. We also kindly ask you keep your dog on a leash around the cottage because of all the sheep and deer in the area.

SNOWY WEATHER ACCESS

In the rare case that there has been heavy snowfall the sluggan track leading up to the cottage gets tricky to drive unless you have a 4x4 or winter tires. Guests should park their car where the track meets the main road and walk the last leg (circa 1km). Please bear this in mind when booking during the winter so you know what to expect in extreme weather.

The Green Cottage Aviemore

A local supermarket, takeaway's and bike hire are only a short walk from the cottage. The main street with many bars and restaurants is within walking distance.

A path next to the house leads onto the Aviemore Orbital and the Speyside Way which are great walking and cycling trails.

The space
Our holiday home is new to the market and listed for let from January 2021. Freshly decorated with all new furniture, we've tried to make the cottage feel like a home from home, and hope you find it comfortable and welcoming.

We chose this cottage because we believe it has the best of both worlds. It has access from the door to miles of trails for running, walking and cycling so feels rural yet is only around a 20 minute walk (5 minutes drive) to the centre of Aviemore and the shops, restaurants and bars the town has to offer. There are 2 takeaway restaurants, a supermarket and bike hire about 8 minutes walk away. Aviemore has so much to do all year round, including water sports, skiing, cycling, hill walking, clay pigeon shooting, go karting, quad biking, tree top walks as well as enjoying the many restaurants and cafes.

The kitchen window faces the back of the property with views towards the Cairngorms, and I love to stand with my first coffee watching the sunrise over the hills. There is a comfortable dining room leading off the kitchen with a leather bench and modern chairs, seating 6. The dining room in turn leads through to the living room, which can also be accessed from the hall, or out to the rear garden.

The living room has a log fire and a 42 inch smart TV, just what you need after a day out on the hills or trails, curled up on the cosy sofa. You are welcome to use any logs from the log store and more can be purchased at the Co-op or Hardware store if required.

There are 3 modern bedrooms, with comfortable mattresses and duvets. The master has access to an ensuite with shower and there is also a bathroom.

In the secure back garden there is a rattan table and comfortable seating for up to 8. There is a large locked shed which is available to you for storing your bikes, skis or other outdoor equipment.

Following your booking we would be happy to provide links to some of our favourite activities and places to help you plan your break should you be new to the area.

One well behaved dog welcome, but please keep dog out of bedrooms and off all furniture (not all guests are dog lovers like us and the white linen certainly doesn't love muddy paws!). No smoking please. We have wi-fi - so the kids should be fine!

Located in a peaceful residential area, the cottage is a stone’s throw from woodland walks, cycling paths, a local chippy, Pizzeria, bike rental shop, supermarket, Cairngorm Brewery, and cozy cafes.

The cottage backs onto the railway line, and while trains do pass by, they’re infrequent and not at night.—just hold onto your G&T during BBQ time for that little added excitement!

Wee Blondie's Ski Cottage is a charming, traditional railway cottage offering a cosy Highland escape with modern comforts. Tucked away down a private gravel

Access is over an old railway bridge and down a private gravel lane. The cottage has safe off street parking and children can play outside free of any traffic. The track can occasionally be a little snowy in winter but if other close by parking is available. It is very rare the driveway is very snowy. Ample parking for 2 cars. Motorcyclists are most welcome. The cottage is next to the railway a couple of the faster trains are a little noisy but overall not a busy line and no trains at night.

Other things to note
Maximum adult occupancy is ideally 4 adults plus 2 children (no charge for children under 16 - just register 4 persons). We occasionally accept 6 adults on request. 6 Adults will incur a small additional occupancy charge.
Two EV charge points are located approximately 200m walk away at Wilderness Scotland. 3 pin EV charging from the cottage is permitted at an additional £25 per charge (payable locally)
If you don’t have a car you can easily walk into the centre of Aviemore which is about a 15-minute walk. There is a bus stop 400 metres away, which can link to Glenmore and up to the Cairngorm mountain.
The neighbouring cottage and house guests are very welcoming. Scott is an outdoor enthusiast and offers private mountain guiding, ski instruction or canoe river trips along the Spey. Zoe is a hairdresser and always welcomes a chat or advice on anything local. We hope to offer a friendly welcome and laid-back vibe and wish you a great stay. Woodview Cottage is a detached 3 bedroom holiday home set in a quiet position in the Dalfaber area of Aviemore. Surrounded by woodland with a fully enclosed private garden to the rear - perfect for kids and dogs.

Accommodating up to 6 guests, the home is well equipped with everything you need for your holiday. Close to local attractions including the Speyside Valley Resort, Cairngorm National Park.

There is a lounge area with wood burning stove (starter pack included), large TV (with Netflix, Prime, BBC iPlayer etc.), echo dot, board games and books.

The new dining area features a solid oak table which can accommodate 6 in comfort and has sliding doors onto decking.

There is a brand new well-equipped kitchen with everything you need including an induction hob, oven/grill, dishwasher, large fridge/freezer and microwave. There is a Nespresso machine, air fryer, toaster and kettle. There is an island with views into the garden and seating for four.

The three bedrooms are clean and fresh - one king size room with Ensuite, one double room and a bunk room (with one double bottom bunk and a single bunk on top). All bedrooms have wardrobes, drawers and bedside tables. The master bedroom has an ensuite with WC and shower. All bedrooms have wall mounted smart TVs.

We are certain you will sleep well in this wonderfully peaceful location.

As well as the wood burning stove in the lounge, the recently upgraded electric heating provides wifi app controlled radiators in the bedrooms, lounge/kitchen and dining room. The ensuite and bathroom are warmed by underfloor heating and towel radiators. The recently upgraded hot water system provides ample hot water and there is an excellent high-pressure rain shower in the bathroom which is of course essential for any holiday.

The cottage has recently had high quality new double glazing and doors installed which ensure the property is cozy all year round.

The large garden is sunny, private and fully-enclosed which makes it great for kids and dogs. There is a decking area with rattan furniture as well as a large picnic bench and parasol. There is a whirligig for drying your washing and wetsuits etc. There is a charcoal BBQ which guests are welcome to use.

Our guests are welcome to use the tennis racquets/balls and selection of outdoor games.

Scotland is known for four seasons in a day – for those days where you choose to stay in the cottage for the day we are sure that you will find it comfortable and well-equipped for all the family.

The property is serviced by a trusted local management company who are on hand 24/7 to deal with any domestic emergencies.

Relax with the family at Bryony holiday home. Our 4 bedroom house sleeps up to 5 adults, 2 kids in the bunkbeds and we accept a small four legged friend too!
The house has had significant upgrading to a tasteful, comfortable and very homely standard and is fully equipped with everything you need to make it a home from home experience.
The house sits in a quiet cul-de-sac just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Aviemore where you'll find many shops and restaurants to explore.

The space
The Master bedroom consists of a comfy king size bed with under storage, wardrobe with drawers, smart tv and velvet chair. It also has an ensuite shower and sink (no toilet). The room is compact but there is room for a travel cot. Travel cot is available in the living room cupboard but we ask guests to supply their own bedding.

The double room has a comfy double bed with under storage, wardrobe with drawers, bedside drawers and a small smart tv.

The single room is small with ample space for an adult with an open storage system and space under the bed for extra storage if required.

The shower room situated upstairs has a double power shower, toilet and sink with an under storage cupboard.

The bunk bed room downstairs has bunkbeds suitable for children only. There are a chest of drawers and bed side drawers. Bryan the teddy bear lives in this room too.

The living room has a 3 seater and a 4 seater sofa along with an automan footstool. Smart tv with sky package including Netflix which sits on top of a cabinet filled with books and some games.

The modern new spacious kitchen has enough room to hold 7 guests, cupboard space for food items and is fully equipped with everything guests should need from cooking oil to a slow cooker. We made sure we have it home from home!

From the hallway you can access a downstairs toilet and sink. Adjacent to the bunkbed room.

Guest access
You will be able to access the whole house apart from the owners room/laundry room situated outside which will be locked. The shed is accessible to guests as this is where the garden furniture is held, the key is on a hook in the kitchen notice wall.

Drumchork Cottage is a pretty, traditional cottage that has been sympathetically enlarged and modernised to create the perfect family home. It is located in the quiet hamlet of Coylumbridge. The location is perfect to explore the many paths on foot or bike or for wild swimming or paddle boarding in the lochs of Rothiemurchus. For the more adventurous the mountains of the Cairngorms are a 10min drive away. It is in a rural location, but less than a 5 minute drive from the amenities of Aviemore.

The space
Drumchork has a master bedroom with ensuite and two twin rooms. A ‘study’ provides a further flexible space. It has a desk and a single bed or can be used as a further living area for little ones to play games.
Further accommodation can be provided if needed by arrangement in the log cabin - see below.
The kitchen is spacious and open-plan with a large dining table for sociable family meals. It is well-stocked with all the basic kitchen utensils you need.
The sitting room is spacious and homely. A log stove creates the perfect cosy atmosphere for relaxing after a day of outdoor activities.
The comfortable conservatory is a relaxing space for enjoying sunlight with electric heaters for cooler days. Drumchork’s large garden offers plenty of space for family games. It has an outdoor patio, in a perfect sheltered and sunny spot with direct access to the kitchen.
Guests have access to a large secure, lockable barn for bikes, skis etc There is an outdoor hose for cleaning muddy bikes.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome. We do ask that they are kept downstairs, and not allowed in bedrooms or on furniture. Please rinse muddy dogs with the outdoor tap. Also, please only leave your dog alone in the house if it is in a crate.
