Cornerhouse Cottage, one-bedroom self-catering cottage, built around the 1900 and converted 20 years ago. It retains some of the original features such as open stone walls. Located in the idyllic village of Blair Atholl in the Cairngorms National Park. Walking distance to the Railway Station, intercity bus route, Blair Castle, 2 convenience stores, Golf Club, fishing, restaurant, hotel and pub, many walks of various difficulty. The cottage is close to Killiecrankie, Pitlochry & House of Bruar.

The space
The living-room is equipped with a wood burning stove, nets of kiln dried wood are available to buy for £8 using an honesty box, kindling and firelighters supplied. There is also an instant electric heater. Electricity is included in the price.

A 40" flat screen TV with integrated DVD, a radio/CD player are also available for your entertainment. Bed linen, towels and a starter pack of coffee, tea and milk will be provided.

The fitted kitchen has all the necessary appliances: electric oven & ceramic hob, fridge, dish washer, washing machine, microwave, iron, ironing board, toaster, Tassimo coffee maker, crockery, cutlery and a small table with 2 chairs, 2 knee trays and 2 small portable tables are also available for eating in the living room. The heater is a modern instant electric.

The white bathroom suite includes a bath and an over bath shower. Towels are provided. There is also a modern instant heater and a heated towel rail.

The bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers and a bedside cabinet. A hairdryer is provided. The heater is modern instant electric.

Non-smoking within the cottage, however, there is seating area in the enclosed garden.

There is a small, enclosed garden with table and chairs and a stocked bird feeder for you to observe the wildlife.

The space
The cottage can be entered either through the main front door at the front to the house or via a small porch into the kitchen OR with dogs, muddy boots and outdoor kit straight into the large boot room and utility space which has been designed with space for dog beds, a bench to sit comfortably on and a drying cupboard to ensure your clothes are warm and dry for the next day!
The kitchen is open plan in design with a breakfast bar, separate fridge freezer, oven, microwave and the original double belfast sink! There is plenty of cupboard space for your food goodies and a lovely round table that sits 4 comfortably and can be extended to seat 6.

From the kitchen you will find a large cosy sitting room with wood burner, a library area to read quietly and a desk if you need to work. From here you can enter the utility room (with washing machine and separate tumble dryer) and bootroom. There is also another door to access the stunning private garden situated next to the estate walled garden. It is possibly the most tranquil spot on the estate!


Upstairs are two bedrooms (the master with a king bed and the other two single beds) Both are warm and cosy with own en-suite luxury bathrooms that have underfloor heating and separate baths and walk-in showers.

Guest access
Access to the property is off the back drive of the estate and up a relatively steep hill. 4x4s are preferable but not compulsory. Smaller cars will be fine in good weather but may struggle to access the property if there is snow on the ground due to the incline. Please message for further information. There is ample parking for 3 or 4 cars and easy access to the village of Blair Atholl.

Other things to note
Wifi is free and of good strength. Well-behaved dogs are very welcome but not allowed upstairs or on any furniture.
