- "We had a ball. Roomy, comfy, plenty of common area(s). Close enough to town to walk to pub and Co-op. Close to fantastic golf courses. Could not have been better!" - "Came in from The USA for a trip with members of our golf club. The location to St. Andrews and the golf in the local area was tremendous. Cannot be beat: 20 mins to the old course // other great golf courses within a 5 or 25 minute ride. Great location in town, 10 minute walk to the beach, with really different food options. Must have the fresh baked goods from the Coo-oop!! They were the friendliest trying to guess where my American accent was from!! The house allowed for everyone to do their own thing! Certainly, will book our next stay here again! Thank you!"

Guest Reviews:

- "This is the third time that we have stayed at Garden Cottage. It was as good as the first two times; in fact probably better - there was a new chimenea and a Sonos speaker since the last time that we stayed. We also discovered how well stocked the garden shed was. It’s a great cottage for a family holiday in Fife." - "The property and location are both superb, it is a real home from home, relaxing from the minute you step inside. The cottage is well equipped with two bathrooms, great hot water and heating supply and good quality bed linen. The garden was very secure for our dog, a nice size and would be beautiful in summer months, and not bad in spring. Will certainly be looking to book again"

Lovely views roundabout.....but would be better if they cut the bushes back a bit at the bottom of the garden so that you could see the sea without standing up." - "Cottage is cute and views are beautiful. Bathrooms are small and simple but clean. Water pressure and wifi are not great in the countryside but king ask made a real effort to send technician to try to fix the wifi straightaway. Signal was still weak when they fixed it but it’s just the countryside."

Cosy 200 year old B Listed semi detached cottage, in the heart of Crail, open plan lounge and kitchen and cloakroom on the ground level, a double bedroom with en-suite, twin room and separate shower on upper level. Walk to the beach, supermarkets, coffee shops, bars, gift shop and three restaurants.
A short walk, down the Hen’s Ladder path to the famous Crail Harbour, pick up fresh crab, visit Crail Pottery or walk the costal path.
Lots to see and do in this beautiful scenic Scottish location.

The space
Our holiday cottage is a typical traditional B listed East Neuk building it’s small and cosy and that’s what we love about it. The cottage is a cosy space with an open plan lounge with sofa and two arm chairs, dining table to seat four guest and a newly fitted kitchen. There is also a downstairs cloakroom and w/c.

The age of the building has meant there is no gas, there are heaters dotted round the house and in each room. In the summer (when the sun is shining the house tends to me warm)….it’s those 18th century thick walls.

If your planning a trip to one of our beautiful beaches? The cupboard in the hall and the outside side storage has beach chairs, sun umbrella and wind breakers please feel free to use (please take care and any broken or lost items must be replaced).

A newly fitted kitchen kitchen with new dishwasher, fridge, oven, hob and microwave.

Although not part of the cottage the mid stairway looks onto a pretty garden courtyard, the staircase is narrow and winding which is a quaint feature of an traditional East Neuk house. There is a master double bedroom with king size bed with an en-suite bathroom.

Bright twin bedroom with 2 comfortable single beds, across the hall there is a newly fitted shower room with sink and enclosed electric shower (there is no toilet). The rooms are not large but is perfect for our family of four adults, for a younger family and just perfect for couples.

Guest access
On opening the front door, the whole house is yours to enjoy.

Other things to note
There is no washing machine in this property.
The shower room across from the twin room does not have a toilet.

Charming cottage near Crail, on the coast
Cottage

My cottage is near Crail in the East Neuk of Fife, close to St Andrews. You’ll love the cottage with its location on the coast and the ever-changing seascape. The front door is about 15 metres from high tide mark. It is great for relaxing in the garden, visiting the many local attractions, walking the Fife Coastal path or playing a round of golf and coming back to my warm and cosy cottage. The 19th century Fisherman's cottage was completely renovated in 2011. The cottage is ideal for couples.

The space
The cottage has an open plan kitchen and sitting room, with windows to west and east, and a bedroom with ensuite bathroom. There is a seaside garden (mostly grass, rosa rugosas all summer, daffodils in spring) around the house, with a bench at front only feet from the sea, and chairs at the back for a more secluded view.

Other things to note
The cottage is located on the northern side of the Fife Ness headland, in its own walled garden between the golf course, and the lighthouse on the very tip of Fife. There are 4 well-landscaped static caravans between the cottage and the lighthouse. The old coastguard house has recently been restored. There are also the 7 old coastguard cottages on the southern side of Fife Ness headland.

Burnside Cottage
Cottage

Our 18th century fisherman's cottage is the ideal place to relax and unwind.
It is situated in a quaint and very pretty row of just 6 pastel painted cottages with a lovely enclosed back garden looking onto the pastures beyond and the historic manor dwelling of Invergellie House.
Whether you wish to kick back and do nothing or explore the East Neuk and all it has to offer, you will be welcome in our little family retreat for as long as you like: our cosy, coastal retreat.

The space
Burnside is our own little family holiday cottage which we are more than happy to share when we are not there.
It was bought in 2017 and completely renovated to a modern standard though there are a few quirks to this 18th century building.
The hot water tank pressure had to be prioritised so the shower is great, the bath is ok but the kitchen sink pressure is pretty low so please be patient: you will though always have plenty hot water!
There is a staircase to the upstairs bedroom but please note it is quite steep.
There is a lovely 'feel' about the place and we just love the peace and quiet, especially hearing the church clock: there has been a church in Kilrenny since 1243 and the current building still has the 15th century clock tower.

Guest access
Guests are welcome in every part of the cottage, garden and even the shed should they need extra space for cases, buggies, golf clubs etc.

Amenities:

TV • Garden view • Iron • First aid kit • Indoor fireplace • Smoke alarm • Fire extinguisher • Hair dryer • Washer • Carbon monoxide alarm
