The first night (during August high season), the only room I could get was nonsmoking, but someone was smoking nearby in the house, and I got a migraine from it. The proprietor is very organized and thoughtful. He attends to every detail. The rooms were clean, and breakfast was excellent. The ceiling is low and the overhead lights shine right in your eyes if you’re lying in bed watching TV. You can crack the windows at the top but there are no window screens, so a bee got into our room. No Air Conditioning or ceiling fans but ask Gail for a fan. The bathroom appeared to be recently remodeled and had good counter space but we couldn’t find an electrical outlet in the bathroom or any face cloths. No tub, but the shower worked great! The breakfast was great but my husband asked for over easy eggs but they were too done. It’s an old house but I would definitely stay there again because of the wonderful owner!"
