This unique Norwegian cabin built in the 1890’s and served as a painting studio for the Earl of Leven at that time who was an amateur water colourist and photographer. It is perched above the Findhorn with breath - taking views across the river to the Dunearn moors. It's the perfect romantic hideaway or retreat.

It is 200m from Glenferness House shielded from view by rhododendrons. There is a canopied double bed and a hammock to relax in. There is a shower-room. There is electric heating. Hidden in the cupboard you will find a fridge and microwave and washing-up bowl as there is no kitchen sink. There is also a table-top cooker, toaster and kettle. There is no WiFi nor television reception at The Studio but there is a television that can play DVDs and there is also a CD player.

In The Studio, our designated method for dishwashing entails filling the washbasin within the shower area. Subsequently, the washing process is carried out externally, and upon completion, used water is disposed of responsibly outside, with the option to pour it down the bank.

We’ve stayed in several holiday accommodation’s now in the UK and this flat definitely had more than most- tea, coffee, sugar, condiments, tin foil, dishwasher tablets, pods for the washing machine, shampoo conditioner, soap, body wash were in plentiful supply. Although we didn’t need it there is equipment for a baby, young child- cut, high chair, baby bath etc. We were given plenty towels and there were also spares if you needed them. The flat also has a wet room with disabled facilities. The shower was great and hot water plentiful. There is parking right next to the flat and a shop just a minute walk from the property. The town centre is approximately 2 minutes by car. This is an amazing flat and the owners are clearly passionate about guests having a wonderful stay. I had the separate single room. My son and his 4 children used the other bedrooms. You walk through one single bedroom to access the main bedroom or twin bedroom. The main bedroom had an ensuite and another bathroom near the separate single bedroom. Plenty of mugs, glasses, cutlery and crockery for us to fill the D/washer each day. A comfortable separate lounge room and dinning room as well as a dining table in the kitchen. For us it was generally easier to eat in the dining room and prep the meals on the table in the kitchen. The cottage is situated in a LOVELY forested estate, with river nearby. I am in my late 60’s and managed the walk down to the river and back easily. It is steep in places on the return walks but take your time and all should be well. The children enjoyed a splash and swim in the river. You do need to be aware of the anglers, but there was plenty of room for all. The children enjoyed the large trampoline, rope swing, climbing wall, table tennis (ping pong) and pool table. Lots of fun for all of us. There is a large fridge/freezer in the kitchen and we arranged a supermarket chain to deliver groceries on the first evening of our stay. It was a drive into a local town to buy more food later in the week. The children have asked can we go back again so we would be very happy to recommend. "

Set in a quiet, sunny position, the enclosed lawn and furnished terrace provide a private space to chill after a day touring the Highlands, playing golf at one of Nairns fantastic golf courses or spending the day at the beach.

The open plan living area includes a family sized dining table, great for sharing a meal from one of Nairns' takeaway establishments if cooking is not on your holiday agenda! And there is a well equipped kitchen should this be your preference.

The property is based in the heart of Nairn with beaches, restaurants and shops only a few minutes walk. It is a large room, with high ceilings and beautifully bright with garden view. The room has tea and coffee facilities and small fridge along with a seating area and TV. Please note we have 2 dogs, Nieve and Tico. we keep them away from guests but if you are not a doggy person this may not be for you.

Whitelea cottage holiday flat is a cosy and homely space attached to the owners property which is an old cottage located in the scenic Fishertown area of Nairn, with it's two stunning beaches only five minutes walk away, a harbour, scenic walks and cycle routes ,two golf course and ideally located to famous castles and many more historic points of interest.The flat has high speed Wi-fi, freeview television. We hope our property will make your stay in the Highlands very enjoyable.

the flat contains a double bed for two people, there are 2 sofa's to sit on in the living room, a large t.v in the living room and a small t.v in the bedroom. There is a kettle, toaster, oven and microwave, also an ironing board and iron (which we would be grateful if you would use in the hallway /kitchen so as not to damage the carpet)
The key will be in a key safe located on the left hand wall outside the front door to ,the property number to be given by message before arrival.

Should you have used your 'sat nav' you will have arrived at bungalow 'Calleva' at the bottom of a hill. Go up the hill (which is Lethen Road) and continue along this road, until you arrive a fork sign posted Lethen 1.5 & Lethen House & Estate office, you have pasted our drive by 20 yards.
