- "The house was just as described. Sunroom was amazing. Bed was very comfortable, and place was very clean. The deli next door is literally feet from the property however they close down @ 1600 so it is not loud/busy long. Right next to the deli is a great food truck and pub so that is super convenient. The only negative I have to say is I had to accidentally misplaced my "access" information to get in and the Managment company was EXTREMELY slow at replying (they did not reply to VRBO messages, and I had to call out of country to get someone to answer me) and then they were a little rude when I needed help. They did help however they treated me like I was dumb. Definitely not a deal breaker since the property was so nice. House 10 out of 10. Management company 5 out of 10."

The Bothy is a traditional stone built small house. It has been extensively renovated and tastefully furnished to an excellent standard. There is a recently installed fitted kitchen (Nov '21) equipped with hob, oven, fridge, dishwasher and microwave. There is a solid wood breakfast bar and double bedroom with en suite wet-room upstairs. The shower is powerful and there is constant hot water. The spacious living/TV area has underfloor heating to ensure the Bothy is warm and cosy all year round.

The space
The Bothy is set in a private, quiet and tranquil area of Drumnadrochit, yet is conveniently close to most village amenities. The centre of the village is 5 minutes walk away and there you will find cafés, Fiddler's restaurant/bar/outdoor eating, Post Office/local shop and Tourist Information. Even closer is The Highland Lodge Hotel, which is home to Nessieland. It also has a popular bar & restaurant. Just beyond this is the Drumnadrochit Hotel/café and several souvenir shops as well as the very popular Loch Ness Experience.
The side wall of The Bothy is south facing. The sun shines in the window at the front of the Bothy in the morning then slowly moves round to the side where it stays most of the day (weather permitting). This is a great spot to sit outside and take in the view of the surrounding hills. There is private off road parking and the lawn has a picnic bench for outdoor eating. The Bothy is in a very pretty spot and a short walk up the hill will give you fabulous views over the loch. Alternatively, walk from the Bothy through the village to 'The Cover', a wooded area through which the river Enrick and Coiltie flow and eventually merge to flow into the Loch.
The Bothy is surrounded by trees and full of wildlife, so you will hear beautiful birdsong in the morning and if you listen very carefully, owls hooting in the evening.

Guest access
Guests can make use of the lawn in front of The Bothy as well as the parking space. We are currently clearing an area of land at the side of the Bothy where we intend to put a fire pit. So far however, we have put up a hammock, an excellent spot to relax and read a book on a sunny day. (Please note that this area is still to be finished.)

Other things to note
There is a washing machine installed in the garage for use by Airbnb guests, for a small fee. This is a shared facility. There is a drying area in the garden.

There is NO KITCHEN in the Loft but there are facilites to warm food (please ask if you need access) and a small dining area downstairs. There is a good selection of cafés and restaurants a short walk away in the village.

Other things to note
There is no kitchen in the Loft but we have provided the basic equipment needed to warm food. There is also crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, hotplate and sink with hot running water. This is in the garage part of the building and not inside the Loft.
We have provided these basics in response to feedback from guests but it should be noted that this area is a convenience only and is not listed as an amenity. Guests would have to exit the Loft and enter the garage to use these facilities.
There is a small dining room downstairs with kettle and toaster for preparing light breakfast. Coffee, tea and sugar are complimentary.

Willow self-catering accommodation is totally independent from Woodlands B&B. Located in East Lewiston, just outside the popular village of Drumnadrochit, near Loch Ness, on the Great Glen Way, it is a great base for you to explore the Highlands, your gateway to the Western Isles. Willow hosts 2 people maximum, is on the ground floor with direct access to the front garden via steps. With views of the mountains of Loch Ness., Willow offers an open plan kitchen-dining-lounge, bedroom , bathroom.

The space
All bedding is provided along with 100% cotton fluffy face cloth, hand and bath towels, tea towels in the kitchen, a couple of loo rolls and sundries. There is also tea, coffee, sugar, cafetieres, teapots as well as welcoming treats. Please let us know in advance if you have a special dietary requirement.

Appliances include hob, oven, microwave, fridge and freezer, kettle, toaster, 32'' flat screen television with Freesat, hairdryer. We also have electric boot dryers for wet walking boots if you need. We offer a clothes wash and dry service for a fee (£15 per load).

We also supply some washing up liquid, bin liners, cling film, tin foil, tea towels, J-cloth to keep you started. Hand sanitiser is provided for guests to use on each entry to Willow.

Fixtures in your accommodation include: shower, fitted kitchen, dining table and chairs, sofa, coffee table, ambient lighting. Thanks to a zip and Link option, we can offer sleeping arrangements as either 2 single beds or 1 King size bed. Please let us know your preference at the time of booking.
