Most of these are more or less on the doorstep, for others it's a drive of no more than half an hour.

St Abbs is in a really good situation, easy walking distance from railway station and bus stop. It's just around the corner from the renowned Birnam Arts Centre and Beatrix Potter exhibition and garden. There's a good choice of nice eating places close by.
We live in the house also. There is parking in the driveway or somerimes on the street immediately outside the garden. Essential not to restrict neighbours access, so guests are requested not to park opposite the gate of property no 12.

The space
There are 3 steps to the front door, and the bedroom is upstairs. This accommodation is best suited to 2 people or a single guest. The bedroom is next to the shared bathroom. There are books, a selection of maps, tea and coffee making facilities, etc, in the bedroom. There's seating in the garden and guests are welcome to sit out and enjoy a cup of tea or glass of wine there. It's a peaceful area and quiet at night. Important to stress that we live in the house, occasionally we might be away, but we enjoy having guests and respect the privacy and space of whoever is staying.

Welcome to Meikle Logie Farmhouse Cottage and beautiful Strathbraan. Our two-bedroom self-contained cottage is attached to our house which is located four miles from the busy village of Dunkeld and at the top of the magical and world-renowned Hermitage woods. It’s a perfect base for walking, golfing, fishing and bird watching. Great 4G, Sky Sports, Netflix and unlimited Wi-Fi all included. We'll offer you a warm welcome whether you are arriving by foot, bike, motorbike or car.

The space
Downstairs, the cottage is an open plan kitchen and sitting room complete with washing machine, dishwasher, cooker, microwave and fridge freezer and log burning stove. There is a TV with a wide range of Sky channels including sport and Netflix. The sofa can turn into a sofa bed in case you want to watch the cricket or a film from under a duvet.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a bathroom.

• Bathroom: bath with power shower over the bath.

There is also a welcome pack with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, sugar and milk.

Sorry – no dogs for now.
We love dogs however, we are next to a working farm with breeding ewes, and there is no barrier between us and the farm, and we are concerned that visiting dogs may not understand this. There is also no door from downstairs to the carpeted upstairs, and we’re not sure if all dogs would understand the ‘don’t go upstairs’ signs. So .. with regret … no dogs.

Outside:
There is a picnic table for your sole use.

The bothy is part of an old stone building, it's compact, cosy and recently renovated. Nestled in woodland by Cochill burn, it offers a rural setting with ample oppurtunity for spotting our resident red squirrels. It sits close to our house, but with it's own access and small garden. It is centrally placed to access Perthshire and it's many oppurtunities for outdoor activities, between the attractive historic town of Dunkeld and market town of Aberfeldy both at 8 miles away.

The space
The bothy consist of a compact double bedroom, livingroom/kitchen and a narrow bathroom with shower over a childrens sized bath. We lived in the bothy while our children were small and building our own house, hence the childrens sized bath.

Based in beautiful Perthshire, in Birnam across the bridge from Dunkeld. Just off the A9 so perfect to break your journey. Walking distance from the train station, bus stop & local shops/pubs/arts centre/restaurants/swimming pool and the famous Birnam Oak on the river Tay.
We have beautiful walks and cycle routes in this area and plenty to see and do - come and enjoy all the beautiful spots that Birnam has to offer.

The space
You will have our home to yourselves as availability is for when we are away. There are a few steps leading to the front door but otherwise our house is all on one level. You will have use of the main bedroom with king-size bed and small en-suite. Please make yourselves at home and enjoy use of the lounge, kitchen, dining room, main bathroom and garden. We have a private driveway so your car will be safely off the road. We are happy to accommodate extra guests on request.

Enjoy all the beautiful spots that Birnam has to offer by staying in this lovely wee flat. Located round the corner from Birnam arts centre, the Beatrix Potter garden and the famous Birnam Oak on the river Tay, this is an ideal base for a holiday. There are many beautiful walks and cycle routes in this area and plenty to see and do. As the train station is just a few minutes walk away, this is also an ideal base for exploring other parts of Scotland.

The space
This flat provides a restful and comfortable space. The bedroom is tastefully decorated in bright and refreshing summer colours and when the sun beams through the window in the morning it is a delightful space to relax with a cuppa.

The kitchen and bathroom have both been recently modernised and finished to a high standard. There is a cute table in the kitchen to enjoy meals. If you plan to do your own cooking you are welcome to use the basic cooking staples in the kitchen (spices, rice, pasta, oil, etc). If you prefer to eat out there are a number of cafes and restaurants in Birnam and Dunkeld and the hotel just round the corner from the flat do delicious takeaway pizzas.

The living room is cosy, spacious, and a comfortable place to relax.

Most of these are more or less on the doorstep, for others it's a drive of no more than half an hour.

We do ask for guests to check bin calendar dates, found at the front door for emptying. The council will not provide larger bins so if you could take them out onto the street when due for collection this would be a big help.
