The Wee Glasshouse is a modern, studio apartment in the picturesque coastal location of Dalgety Bay. It has been designed to enjoy breathtaking views of the bridges and is situated on the Fife Coastal Path with its many beaches and woodlands.
The Wee Glasshouse has certain features similar to our own house which was filmed for More 4’s ‘Building The Dream’. TV Presenter Charlie Luxton visited several times to record it’s progress with the programme being aired in Jan 2017.

The studio apartment comprises of hallway leading to a bathroom with double shower. The staircase takes you to the open plan living area with double bed, kitchen, lounge area with double sofa bed and dining table. A warm welcome to my home. I'm a professional letting out one bedroom in my 3 bed terraced house in Fife, minutes from Queensferry Crossing and easy transport links to Edinburgh and airport.

My listing is more suited to other professionals rather than holiday makers. The room is clean and bright, quirky decor and cosy atmosphere for a genuine homely feeling. Comfortable double bed with a hybrid mattress ensures a comfortable sleep.

The space
A combination of old and new, I love the character of real wood and metal, dark colours in bright and airy space. Bedroom is located on the 1st floor with the views of the gardens. There is a comfortable chair for you to relax in and enjoy the peace and quiet.

The bathroom is right next to the bedroom and is shared with me. It has a full size bath, towel radiatior and electric shower.

I provide freshly laundred sheets and towels.

I travel a lot, so I experienced myself what guests may need, therefore I share your pain when you lack something, and so I make everything available. Ask me for a hair dryer, straighteners, iron, ironing board, the use of washing machine or the fridge.

Dunfermline is the ancient capital city of Scotland and home to the final resting place of King Robert The Bruce in the magnificent Abbey. Dunfermline has a wealth of local history and is the birth place of Andrew Carnegie once the worlds richest man.

My place is close to the city centre, parks, and restaurants. Edinburgh is a 25 minute train journey. Please note quiet times Monday - Friday 10pm. Please plan your journey and try not arrive after 10pm it’s disturbing for my family.

My property is in a quiet residential area of Dunfermline with on street parking. The property has been recently modernised with extensive renovation. I live here with my wife and young son. It’s a family home and we expect people to look after our home and respect it when they staying. During the week we would be grateful if guests are back by 10.30pm. Modern seaside flat just a 25 minute train or car journey to central Edinburgh. Lovely coastal walks with breathtaking views. Sunsets are a must with a bottle of wine. Just a 20 minute drive to the airport or a direct train. Great cycle networks and walks directly in front of the flat as we are actually on the famous Fife Coastal Path. Excellent central location to explore Scotland with the mountains, St. Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow all less than an hour from your doorstep.

The space
Our first floor flat is a homely space in a lovely location comprising a double bed and also a pullout sofa in the living room that can be utilised at a push. Just let us know and we can arrange this to be made up for your stay.

The train station is one mile away which you can walk to in 15 minutes or drive to in a few minutes. The trains into Edinburgh run every 30 minutes and the journey in takes 25 minutes to Haymarket and 30 minutes to Waverley station.

If arriving at Edinburgh airport during the day you can catch the tram to Edinburgh Gateway then catch the train to Dalgety Bay.

There are beautiful coastal walks with stunning views directly in front of our flat and a handful of restaurant/bars in Dalgety Bay with great food and drinks. Nearby Aberdour also offers superb dining, gardens, award-winning beaches and even a castle.

Would suit visitors looking for access to Edinburgh Festival or simply for a peaceful break away from the hustle and bustle. Frankly speaking, it's a bit of a hidden gem.

You will have access to the entire flat. All the wardrobe space, fridge/freezer space is for you to make use of during your stay. A selection of books and DVDs are also available but do please leave them in the flat when you leave. If you are halfway through one of our books we can accept swaps or perhaps late returns if you ask nicely. 😉

If visiting for Edinburgh festival and planning to travel by rail, please check the time of the last train back to Dalgety Bay or Inverkeithing as during the festival a taxi back may cost up to £60. Train tickets are £5.60 off peak and £9.60 peak times return at time of writing.
