- "Our hostess was engaging and kind, giving helpful ideas for where to eat and what to do during our short stay. Very family-friendly property with bright and colorful decor. Spiral staircase was unique and fun in general but slightly tricky when maneuvering up or down with luggage. Thank you for giving us a comfortable place to lay our heads during our journey!" - "I know Balloch well and was looking for somewhere to stay when I visited family. There would be nothing I could really complain about central location next to train station, it’s right beside a bar so did get a little noisy at kicking out time but no different from a city centre hotel, host was good showed me to room and left. She also sent me a number of instructions before hand about finding the place etc so communication was good. It was clean and tidy , beds comfy and right on the gateway to the highlands it’s a good place as a base "

- "Stayed for a 30th birthday celebration with friends and family Property was in a great location and had everything needed for an enjoyable weekend. Lots of compliments on how comfy the beds were. The property/grounds seem bigger than the pictures which was nice and the hot tub was huge. Would absolutely stay again Thanks very much" - "was a brilliant time we had" - "We had a wonderful stay at the South Lodge April 17-20, 2025. Gillian was a pleasure to work with and answered all of our questions immediately. The home is how it looks in the pictures. Lots of space and ample bedrooms and washrooms. We never used the bar/pool table room as it has a separate entrance from the house and very low ceilings. The only issue we had was that the garbage and recycling bins were full and we had no where to put our garbage and recycling. The cleaning staff said they would manage it so all fine in the end. "

- "Nicely equipped and located a few steps away from Balloch, train station, great shopping and nice restaurants. " - "Layout seemed generally aimed toward photos rather than users - most surfaces were required moving items before use (couch, bed tables), closet with drawers, living room bathroom both partially blocked by a side table. Kitchen was stocked (with a sharp knife, loved that), radiators individually controlled by user not a thermostat, also a big plus. Close to the main strip in town, stores and parks within walking distance. Shower leaked water everywhere, bathroom otherwise pleasant to use. "

- "This bottom floor apartment has a lovely garden. However if you’re looking for peace and quiet this is not for you. Very loud music can be heard coming from upstairs. The beat from the base was constant. We woke up from a man screaming, yelling, and cursing. Next there was banging on the door and a man yelling “Open the fxxxx door!!” This continued for a few hours anlong with trying to jiggle the lock. and jiggling of keys. At times we were afraid the next thing to happen would be something terrible. This continued through 11:30 pm. Horrible! I can’t believe that the owner doesn’t know that her neighbors have issues. Also we also stayed here as the apartment listed a washer and dryer on the premises. It only has a washer. Finally, the toilet had a horrible smell coming from it. Plus side- The gardens outside are adorable and the neighbors put lots of time into keeping it up. "

- "Christine is, by far, the best communicator of any VRBO owner I've ever come across. And we travel a lot. And then there's the loft and location. The location is another A+. Step outside and you are within 3 minutes of wonderful food and drinks. The several pubs nearby are fantastic. Steps from a grocery store. Cross the street and you find you alone (we visited in september) in a peaceful, wooded area along the river. Nicely paved pathways. You can get lost back in there, so many paths. Some toward the castle, some run along the lake. The flat is a lot larger than we expected, and we only used 2 of the 3 bedrooms. This flat is unique in a way that other flats come up short: the kitchen and living room actually can easily accommodate the number of occupants. Lots of space. The huge windows allow afternoon sun, so morning coffees are cool and shady. The view from the balcony is stunning. We give this loft an easy A+. Trust me, you won't be disappointed. Christine will be there if you need her. You probably won't, though. It was an easy drive in from Sterling, and an easy drive out to Glasgow. Thank you, George and Anne"

- "Everything was as described. We enjoy our time in Balloch. Highly recommended Thanks a lot. Peter & Elke" - "The owner was attentive, however during our 3 day stay the boiler had a leak resulting in no heating or hot water for two days. In addition, we had to return home on the afternoon of Bank Holiday Monday… however we had to wait in the property for a Gas engineer to arrive and fix the boiler. The property owner does not live locally and it was a great imposition on our holiday -;eg having to wait in and mop the floor 3 x times and adjust the boiler pressure twice. These actions should NOT be the responsibility of renters… A very poor situation, no proposal to refund any money by the owner"
