Our home is quiet, very comfortable and you also have your very own living room/dining table so you can relax in,we have beautiful views overlooking the sound of Mull and surrounding islands, long walks on our door step, the local hotel is only across the road and serves great meals. There is a great bus service fron north connel and the train station is only a 10 min walk, the nearest town is Oban where there is an abundance of beautiful restraunts and lovely little shops to browse through.

Welcome to our cosy and bright room in our family home! There is a full bathroom that will only be shared with us. We are in a popular and quiet residential area, just 10 minutes away walking from Argyll Square. There is a dog in the house, Pelusa, who is very friendly and loves meeting new people as much as we do! He likes greeting and being with everyone that's in the house!

The space
Please, bear in mind that this is a private house. You will receive coordinates and we are always on the phone to help with your arrival. There is no guest access to the kitchen.

Our house provides our guests with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere but still close to all town amenities. CalMac ferries depart daily from the main pier to Mull, the small isles and the Western Isles. We will be happy to help with this before, during or after your stay. Supermarkets, fuel station and train are just a short walk from the house.

There is free on street parking just outside the house. Please, do let us know if you will be arriving by car or public transport in order to send you exact and detailed arrival instructions.

There is tea/coffee making facilities in the room and hairdryer.

No parties are allowed in the house. If you are planning on a night out please do so, but be considerate when coming back to the house. There is also a strict non-smoking policy inside the house.

Balvicar House is located within the popular village of Balvicar 14 miles (22 km) southwest of the bustling town of Oban, on the delightful island of Seil, linked to the mainland by the "Atlantic Bridge". Balvicar Stores, Post Office and bus stop are conveniently located next door and the 9 hole golf course tees off just a sort stretch down the village road. Balvicar bay is in close proximity and many rambling walks can be enjoyed, including ones that end at the pub only 2 miles walk away.

Ian and I have both been vaccinated and boosted against Covid 19 and promise to adapt our hosting procedures, to the recommendations of the Scottish Government, The Association of Scottish Caterers and the B&B Association to ensure the safety of our guests at all times.

Arrival from 3pm please and checkout by 11 am next morning or by prior arrangement outside these times. One of us will greet you and make sure that you are comfortable and have everything you need. In addition to your bedroom and private ensuite bathroom upstairs in a more private part of the house, you have access to our kitchen/dining room, cosy sitting room, drive way and garden.

During your stay
My husband Ian and I will be living in the house with you and will do our best to make your stay a relaxing and enjoyable one.

Our breakfast will be an unlimited Continental breakfast with fresh home baked sour dough bread, preserves & jam, yoghurts and cereals, a selection of whole fruits and fresh eggs, plus unlimited freshly ground coffee and tea. Let us know if you have any special dietary requirements and we will do our best to ensure that the right food is available for you to enjoy.

The mobile phone signal is limited on the island, unless you are with ee. We have a house phone for emergencies and BT super fast infinity broadband.

A comfortable, bright and homely flat right in the middle of Oban. All set with everything you will need for your stay, and easy walking distance to the shops, the bus station and the ferries.

Fresh bed linen, towels, tea, coffee and milk are all provided.

Someone will be on hand throughout your stay if you need anything else.

The space
A beautiful modern 1 bedroom apartment in the popular tourist town of Oban. Fresh and comfortable with an open plan kitchen/dining area/living area and large windows overlooking Stevenson Street in the town centre.

The bedroom has a double bed with an orthopaedic anti-allergy mattress, large window facing to the front of the building, dark oak laminate flooring, a convector heater and a built in closet.

The bathroom is fresh and has tile-effect laminate flooring, a full sized bath with electric shower above and a fan heater.

The living area has a large L shaped sofa with and two leather bean bags. There is a 40" flat screen LED TV mounted on the wall. The living area is bright and comfortable with a full height window to the front and light oak laminate flooring. Adjacent to the living area there is a dining table and 4 chairs and a large electric storage heater.

There is a modern fitted kitchen with a cooker and ceramic hobs, an integrated fridge with freezer compartment, a washer/dryer, a microwave, kettle, toaster and all utensils, pots and pans as you would expect.

WiFi is available throughout the flat. Bedding and towels are provided along with tea, coffee, sugar, hand soap, cleaning materials and a welcome pack with goodies.

Guest access
The guests have access to the whole flat. There is a communal area to the rear (outside) which is secure and could be used for storage of push bikes.

Other things to note
The flat is right in the middle of town, 1 minute from the large supermarket and very close to all the bars and restaurants Oban has to offer. A butchers and a bakers are also both straight across the road.

Our house is situated a approx 4 minutes drive from the town centre and a comfortable 15 min walk, there are regular buses throughout the day with the closest bus stop being about 150 mtrs from the house.
The room is very comfortable with a spacious ensuite. A light breakfast tray is provided as well as tea and coffee making facilities. There is a small frideg in the room for your use.
We are in a quiet neighbourhood and there is plenty off street parking at the house.

Raera Farm offers a choice of 2 self catering properties in a spectacular location, 9 miles south of Oban. The farm is bordered by the River Euchar, and offers peace and tranquillity in beautiful Scottish countryside. The properties consist of a 2 bedroom cottage, and a one bedroom flat which is above the cottage.
The farm extends to approximately 400 acres, and includes an ancient oak forest. The Euchar, with it's magnificent waterfall, is a beautiful spate river.
