- "This was a nice, clean, somewhat rustic country cottage on active farm with highland cattle. The owners are very nice and Amanda very responsive and helpful with dinner and hiking/walking recommendations. The only concern I would have is that the house smells a little musty (especially so the first floor back bedroom) which might be a bit off-putting to some people. Otherwise 5 starts all around. Loved interacting with the highland cows and beautiful hike up the hill for great views behind the property."

- "Modern , clean, well equipped accommodation , Marie is a great person to deal with." - "Really nice, clean property." - "A perfect holiday base for exploring a wonderful area. The house was immaculate, comfortable and had everything that we needed. Lovely views out over the coast -kids enjoyed watching the CalMac ferries come and go. Lots to do in the area and our hosts had some great suggestions too!" - "If you're looking for a wonderful place to stay in Oban, look no further. Sure, you could be closer to the centre of this bustling town, but this is a nice and quiet place to relax after a day in Oban. I truly can't fault it, it has everything you need, luxurious carpeting on stairs and 1st floor, a decking area, and a view that is hard to pull your eyes away from. Owner is right next door and is willing to help with whatever (small) issues you may have. The only reason I would want to rate it lower than 10 is so that there's a bigger chance of us being able to book this place again. But that would be very unfair, obviously. We had a lovely stay, would recommend this cottage!"

The view from the house is over looking the Sound of Kerrera with yachts, fishing boats and ferries passing by. It's two miles to Oban which has a large choice of places to eat. There is virtually no public transport to the house. Taxis are available from the railway station area in the town. I'm a new host (2023) and I'll hopefully be guided by my guests needs, wants and suggestions as time goes by.
I myself frequently stay in properties booked through this site and I know what I'm looking for. I hope I can give you what you're looking for when you stay at The Wee House.
I will be available most likely throughout your stay should you need any assistance as our house sits within the same grounds as the Wee House.
I hope to welcome you to The Wee House in the near future.
David
The space
The Wee House has all the modern facilities you would expect.
A cozy lounge with a good WiFi connection, Firestick and freeview box. It has a well equipped kitchen and a decent sized wetroom.
It has 2 good sized bedrooms, One with a double bed on the ground floor with a built in wardrobe and one twin room (with extra long beds) upstairs along with a toddler bed just incase you were unable to get granny or grampa to babysit this time.
The house has a stair gate and a kitchen barrier with a gate, as well as a lockable gate outside, so pretty safe for toddlers.
You will also have parking in your own space outside the WEE HOUSE. (More than one space if needed), just request at time of booking and I’ll make sure it's available to you.
The Wee House has no steps into property, a low threshold at entrance and extra wide doors to bedroom and wetroom.
It is however my intention over the winter to make the wetroom even more functionable and practical to our guests who maybe need a little assistance or guests using a wheelchair.
Please message me with any queries or tips you may have for me in this regard.
It is my intention to make The Wee House accessible to EVERYONE to enjoy this wonderful Island of Seil.
