- "Wonderful week in Broadford - top notch & excellent accommodation. Great location. Recommend." - "We are so thankful we booked this property. It was spacious, well appointed and better than the pictures. Sunrises and Sunsets were beautiful over the water and mountain. The views were fantastic and Ian was a delight to communicate with. Especially for food recommendations, which we appreciated. Broadford had everything we needed and was central to all our travels. We were able to walk to the end of the road for food and a very short walk to access to the beach to explore tide pools each night. We had a sunny week with no midges and would absolutely return."

- "Just a fantastic place to stay! I felt relaxed from the moment I walked into the beautiful conservatory and saw the views of the water and the hills. There are chairs to relax in and enjoy the view and the dining table is there too, making meal time extra special. The rest of the house was super too, my daughters loved their bedrooms, I enjoyed a few hot soaks in the big standalone bath after a busy day. The kitchen was well equipped as was the whole house. After a tough few lockdown months, this was the perfect escape. There is a local Coop just up the road and also takeaways for fish n chips, pizza or Chinese (Kyle in Lochalsh was fab). There are also restaurants nearby which are now opening up too. A great place to stay ! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo"

The Isle View Nest is a perfect holiday home for a couple wanting to be well located for exploring the Isle of Skye, but at the same time have a comfortable, stylish stay with a sea view to return to at the end of an active day.
It is situated right on the shore of the Inner Sound, with views across Broadford Bay towards the island of Pabay and the Applecross Peninsula beyond. It’s a perfect spot, and with such a large tidal range just outside the property, the view is constantly changing. When the tide is in, the water will be lapping the garden edge, but at low tide there’s a marvellous beach that goes from the garden for miles and miles.
The Isle View Nest is perfectly formed and a couple will love it, the cabin and has its own decking with furniture, just the spot where you can enjoy a bottle of wine. The sliding patio doors lead into the open plan living/dining room/kitchen. There’s comfortable seating, a nice little table and a very large, modern kitchen with all the appliances you will need. The 50” Smart TV is a bonus, too. But the real asset of this room is the wall of glass that allows an enormous amount of light to flood in, but also gives you the chance to simply watch this wonderful coastal scene change minute-by-minute. Beyond the living area is the double bedroom space, which is separated by a low wall, so The Isle View Nest is essentially a studio cabin. A walk-in shower is off of the bedroom.
The Isle View Nest is very well placed for couples wanting to explore all corners of Skye, with The Old Man of Storr and the Quiraing only 40 minutes away. Point Neist Lighthouse is 50 minutes, and the magnificent Cuillin is only 20 minutes away. Elgol and the Sleat Peninsula are also very close. Broadford has an excellent supermarket and plenty of restaurants and bars to enjoy after rushing around seeing the many things Skye has to offer. Beach 100 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.
The Isle View Nest can be booked together with Isle View (28284) to accommodate up to 6 guests.

Short walk to some food, gas station & coop close bye. No complaints - would absolutely stay again. " - "Nicely located with views across the shore and Broadford Bay. Walking distance of several good dine-in cafe and restaurants."

Bedroom
The luxurious open plan bedroom has a stunning oak sleigh king size bed made up with luxury egyption cotton bedding. The bed is somewhat eclipsed by the roll top bath that has a beautiful view of Broadford Bay. The unique step into the bath was made from one of the Island’s Scots Elm trees that sadly came down in a storm several years back. It was harvested by a friend who also runs a local sawmill. We handpicked a section of the tree that best suited the shape of the step. After several years drying, it was crafted to create a simply stunning entrance that borders the bath. The large pebbles and stones which surround the bath are from one of our favourite beaches where we spent many days playing as kids.
Lounge
The lounge is the perfect place to relax and unwind after exploring Skye or to chill out on a rainy day. The cosy couch is a lovely spot to sit and admire the view of Beinn na Caillich and Broadford Bay. The adjustable lighting is great for setting the mood. The TV has a full Sky package with access to Netflix and Spotify. There are also several board games and jigsaws for those lazy days as well as guide books and OS maps to help plan your days out on the island. We are always a phone call away for recommending any nice walks – there are plenty places we can show you that are off the tourist track.
Kitchen
An extensively equipped modern kitchen with coffee machine, kettle, toaster, dishwasher, electric oven, gas hob and fridge freezer. We also provide a generous hospitality pack on arrival. The breakfast bar is a bespoke design. We managed to source a couple of Talisker whisky barrels and upcycled them to create a simple one off stunning cladding. The adjustable lighting really sets it off. If you want a break from cooking there are also takeaway menus and restaurant recommendations within the welcome book.

The oldest part of Marble Cottage was built in 1908 as the office for the original Skye Marble Company and it's railway.
For some years, a small train carried marble the few miles from quarries at Kilbride, through what is now our garden and house, across the rivermouth to the pier where it was loaded onto steamships.
