The house is immaculate and clean, and had every possible comfort available - from coffee, tea and chocolates to champagne and fluffy towels. The historic Georgian estate proudly looks over the River Clyde, and has been lovingly restored by the hosts. The views are incredible, and the location is close to everything you may wish to visit in Helensburgh. You can easily walk out the front door and stroll along the river to town. The house has a fantastic open floor plan on the main level, and is so incredibly welcoming and comfy! We couldn't wait to get back home at the end of the day. Janina and Mark are the most lovely hosts, and couldn't do enough for our family. They provided excellent recommendations for so many cute and trendy restaurants and coffee shops in Helensburgh. The great room upstairs is spectacular and provides three huge windows with views of the water. Our self contained studio room was converted from a sound proofed music studio and has been freshly decorated. It is connected to our garage, is separate from our house and has its own entrance and on street parking. Double bed, En Suite, Sitting area ,kitchen and entrance area. We have added a window to the flat after feedback from our guests.

Directly outside the flat the parking is restricted to an hour at a time until 6pm- but it is free overnight. Slightly further along the road however, away from the town centre you can park for free without restriction. William Street or Campbell street are perpendicular and have free unrestricted parking.
Helensburgh is well connected to major cities trains run every 30 mins to Glasgow and Edinburgh. Helensburgh Upper station also provides easy access to Oban.

Welcome to our beautiful Victorian home in Helensburgh. We have a private annexe that was built onto the right hand side of the house and this is the area we are listing on Airbnb.
The annexe has a private entrance at the back of the house, with wheelchair access and a key safe.
There is a hallway, bedroom and bathroom for your exclusive use. The bedroom is a large room with a double bed, sofa, and table and chairs. We have used a Scottish theme to decorate the room.
The space
This is a cosy room with private bathroom that is accessed by an external door and separate from the rest of the house. There is off road parking and you can feel free to wander around the large garden and help yourself to some of the herbs or vegetables growing. (And do some gardening if you like!)
There is no kitchen, however we have a small fridge and microwave in the room so most people have no problems in having basic meals. There is a kettle, milk, tea and instant coffee in the room with various types of glasses, a full range of crockery and cutlery. We provide a washcloth, washing up liquid, a tea towel for drying glasses and crockery. We have had people staying for over a month quite comfortably.
If you are staying for a longer period we can do some washing for you or there are multiple laundrettes in town.
When the gates are closed the garden is a safe place for children to run around, the pond has a child safe cover on it and there is a small swing and slide.
We are a 13 minute walk to Helensburgh train station and the amenities in the Helensburgh town. The Bonnie banks of Loch Lomond are only a 12 minutes drive away and there is so much more to do in the area!
We both work and have young children so this is just a part time enterprise for us, we don’t have the time to clean the room every day so have put our minimum stay to four days, as a result we think we offer a great value price for longer stays in Helensburgh.

Guests can use the annexe (bedroom, bathroom, hallway) and the garden. There is parking on the driveway next to the annexe.

We are in the house attached to the annexe but we are not always in so would be contactable by phone.

We do not provide breakfast. There is a mini fridge and microwave for your use.
We have baby related equipment if needed, a travel cot, baby monitor, baby, toddler and pre school toys/books. Please let us know ahead of time if these are required. A recent guest brought his little boy, my son had a great time playing with him in the garden, please help your self to all the garden toys and we can give you any advice on what to do with children locally.
We have also recently had guests who were working from home, what a great idea! They got to explore the local area in the evenings and carried on their travels at the end of the week.

Compact first floor flat, comprising of two single beds and bathroom in Victorian cottage on a pretty tree-lined street. Convenient 5 minute walk from Helensburgh town centre and train station. Dedicated outdoor sitting area with table and 2 chairs.
The space
A quaint and compact upper flat with a spiral cast-iron staircase leading to the entrance door to the upper flat, which leads directly into the master bedroom. This room has space for two guests to sleep in single beds. There is open hanging space and shelving, 2 folding chairs, a small refrigerator, bedside cabinet, 2 bedside lights and a wall -mounted TV with remote control. Off of the master bedroom there is a small passageway containing microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, basic cutlery, crockery, bottle opener, napkins and glassware. Also off of the passageway is a 4-piece bathroom (electric shower over bath) with heated towel rail and shaver point.
Guest access
Access to the upper flat is via an external spiral staircase which has entry door at the top which opens directly into the bedroom . On occasion there may be other guests living in the lower flat of the cottage, and while there is no shared internal space, the external spiral staircase is at the entrance to the garden of the lower cottage.
With this in mind,please be as quiet as possible if using the entrance staircase late in the evenings.

Set in the countryside approximately 1.2 miles from the local village, along the B833 road to Kilcreggan, large white signs saying Mambeg House, at the bottom of a driveway, second on the right after MAMBEG road sign. Large parking area with CCTV coverage well away from the main road.

Please note that our guest accommodation consists of 3 separate rooms all accessible through a separate door/private entrance from the main house. The flat was fully renovated and decorated in 2022 to a high standard. There is a very spacious living room/dining room, with comfy seating. The dining table and chairs seat 4 people and the table is extendable. We have a SMART TV and bluetooth speaker/radio and there are games and books to enjoy for those cosy nights in.
The main bedroom, situated to the rear of the flat, is very spacious and has a lovely comfortable king size bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers. There is a hairdryer available.
The front bedroom houses a zip and lock bed which can alter from 2 single beds to a king size bed. There is a wardrobe in this room too.
The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, small dishwasher, washing machine and all the other usual kitchen appliances.
The bathroom is beautifully decorated with a lovely shower and towel rail.
There is a shared, well maintained garden area at the back of the flats where there are plenty of washing lines to hang clothes out on. There is also a clothes airer in the flat. Wifi code is provided and is free.

This is a self contained 2 bedroom flat within a quiet and friendly small block of 4 flats. There is a lockable front door to the flats and people can also be buzzed in from within the flat. Keys will be available via a key safe by the front door upon arrangement. The code will be given prior to arrival.
The flat is on the 1st floor so there are stairs to climb as no lift. The stairs are concrete with a banister for aid.
Other things to note
There is a welcome folder in the TV unit with details of all the useful information for your stay. The flat is fully equipped with all amenities including iron and board, hoover, cleaning products and many other useful items. The heating will be set on a schedule by the host but can also be boosted from within the property if needed. Further information is included in the folder.
Parking is available on the street. There is a parking bay outside the flat but it is not designated for the flats. During the day it can be busy due to people visiting the town but there are plenty of spaces further up the street. In the evening, there will always be space outside the flat to park.
Please note, there is strictly no smoking or vaping in the flat or within the tenement building. If you wish/need to smoke, you must go onto the main street or use the communal garden out the back door of the flat building.

The park is set on a hill, and we are quite high up, so a car is recommended. It is quite nice to walk up once in a while but you wouldn't want to do it carrying children or shopping.
If you have a telescope or binoculars bring them with you. There is very little light pollution so stargazing is brilliant. There are lots of birds and the odd pod of dolphins to see..... and Britain's nuclear submarines!
