- "Very good" - "Lovely propert " - "The location of the property was perfect. Close to downtown and restaurants and right on the ocean from the back door. Unfortunately, the beds were not very comfortable. We found them quite hard. We found clothes in a drawer left by a previous guest. I would say housekeeping does the minimum clean and does not check to see if anything is left behind. We also found a duffel bag in one of the drawers. It was put on top of the wardrobe, as I am short it took a couple of tries to get it up there. When it came down the first time it was totally covered in dust. There were no dishwasher tabs left for us to use. We had to go and buy some. I did send a note to the property manager but I never received a response back. She called the day after we arrived then sent a text with departure instructions."

This allows guests to arrive late, especially if flying into Prestwick Airport late at night, or leaving early morning. This is an unmanned apartment.

Prestwick Golf Club
Prestwick is the birthplace of Championship Golf. A simple stone remembrance just to the west of Prestwick’s charismatic and charming clubhouse marks the spot where the first Open Championship tee shot was fired towards the 1st fairway in 1860. A 12-hole golf course with the first hole measuring 578 yards was where the prestigious championship was born.

Today the 1st hole is not the original hole, as the course has seen many changes from the Old Tom Morris dozen hole designs.

Parking on Hunter street is free from 5pm until 9am thereafter it is permit parking and we cannot give access to a permit. Blue badge holders can park freely at anytime on Hunter Street by displaying the blue badge. If you arrive out with these times you can offload luggage on Hunter Street with max wait time 1 hr then you would have to park in an adjacent street or car park which isnt permit only.

The apartment is freshly decorated and situated next to Prestwick Town Centre. The apartment was completely refurbished and furnished to a very high standard. The apartment is on the first floor, accessed via stairs.
There is a kitchen dining table and chairs, which can also be used as a desk. The well-appointed kitchen allows guests to prepare their own meals. Large mix of shops on the high street and Prestwick has lots of bars and restaurants if you prefer to eat out. Free wi-fi throughout.

The space
This a great cosy and warm upstairs flat very close to Prestwick town centre. This private self-contained 1 bedroom apartment has a double bedroom (double bed), shower room, kitchen and lounge. The lounge also accommodates a fold down single bed suitable for an adult or child, which is provided in the apartment. This allows up to 3 Adults to comfortably share the apartment. All towels and linen are provided and if your stay extends beyond 5 days, the apartment will have a full linen changeover every 5 days. Free street parking is available in all the streets surrounding the apartment. There is not a dedicated parking space for the apartment.

The whole apartment is included. The apartment is accessed via a garden gate at each side of the building and is through the door at the top of the stairs at the rear of the building. No. 68a is at the end of the hallway and on the left hand side. There is a secure key box where your keys will be stored and you will receive a code to access the key box several days before your arrival. This allows guests to arrive late, especially if flying into Prestwick Airport late at night, or leaving early morning. This is an unmanned apartment.

Other things to note
Prestwick has its own beach and 3 golf courses, including the famous Prestwick Old Course, which was host to the first 12 British Open Championships between 1860 – 1872. The apartment is also close to Prestwick train station (9 min walk) and Glasgow Prestwick Airport (4 min drive or 19 min walk). Ayr is only a short 5 km away and golfing and other tourist attractions are close by. This is a great base to discover Ayrshire, which has a host of tourist attractions and sporting amenities. The town of Troon and Troon Golf Club are a 10 min drive away or 1 short stop on the train from Prestwick Train Station. Troon has hosted the British Open Championship many times.
Many scenes from the hit TV show Outlander are filmed in Ayrshire, including Dunure Harbour, a 30 min drive away.

Centrally located on Prestwick Main Street situated on first floor, this cosy wee flat is perfect for weekends away, exploring Ayrshire, working away from home or a stopping place before your flight from Prestwick airport, only a 5 min walk to the train station for the airport! 20-25 minute walk to prestwick airport from the apartment.

Main bedroom consists of one king size bed with high quality mattress and plenty of storage within the bedroom.
