Whether you want to explore the Fife Coastal Walk, enjoy the high tempo of motorsport at Knockhill Racing Circuit and the Cowdenbeath Racewall or play a relaxing round at one of Fife’s exquisite golf courses we are perfectly located.

Situated a short drive from Loch Leven Nature Reserve guests can spend time bird watching, soaking up the history or simply enjoying the fresh air on the heritage trail.

For those Outlander fans among you we are also centrally based for visiting the many Scottish locations used for filming including Aberdour Castle, Culross, Falkland Palace and Hopetoun House.
The Bay and Bridge is located just 10 minutes by car from the Rosyth Cruise Terminal and we can offer a drop off / pick up service for guests going on or returning from a cruise.
Hosts Chris and Claire pride themselves on their attention to detail and are always on hand to provide advice on a days’ excursion, local restaurants and travel links. We are happy to provide free flask refills for walkers and have secure overnight storage facilities for bicycles.

We live close to the center of Dunfermline. Our home is very close to the historical town city center, with the Abbey, Carnegie Museum, the Glen Park, Arts & Culture.

We are located minutes from the M90 motorway, and close to bus and rail links, ideally connecting you with Edinburgh city center and beyond.

Within your dining room (sole use) you will find a mini fridge, a toaster, kettle, also all your mugs, plates, bowls, glasses, cutlery, a tea-pot, and a coffee maker.

You will also find there is complimentary tea, coffee, sugar, milk, fresh fruit, cereals,bread and spread and spread.

We offer free Wifi, which is a high-speed all-fibre connection, providing stable, high-speed upload and download. The dining room is available to use to work or relax, with views out to the private garden.

The guest room contains a comfortable, orthopaedic double bed, ensuring a comfortable nights sleep. The room has plenty of storage, USB power outlets with a full double wardrobe, towels, and Shower Gell also provided.

It is located within walking distance to amenities and Halbeath park n ride. A perfect pitch for golfers as we are not far from St Andrews and Glen Eagles.

The beds are 2 singles but can be fixed together to make a comfortable double bed.

The Wee Glasshouse is a modern, studio apartment in the picturesque coastal location of Dalgety Bay. It’s designed to enjoy breathtaking views of the bridges and is situated on the Fife Coastal Path with its many beaches and woodlands.
The Wee Glasshouse has features similar to our own house which was filmed for More 4’s ‘Building The Dream’. TV Presenter Charlie Luxton visited several times to record its progress and was aired in Jan 2017. In 2020 it featured in Scotland’s Home of the Year.

The space
The studio apartment comprises of hallway leading to a bathroom with double shower. The staircase takes you to the open plan living area with double bed, kitchen, lounge area with double sofa bed and dining table. The apartment benefits from underfloor heating and triple glazed windows throughout, an alarm system, LED feature lighting, remote controlled Velux windows with blackout blinds, bluetooth music systems, WiFi and 58” 4K TV.
The kitchen area is fully fitted and equipped for your stay with use of fridge/freezer, hob, oven, boiling hot water tap, coffee machine, microwave, and dishwasher.

Guest access
You will have full access to all of the living areas within the apartment as well as having your own private path around the property to your front door. A free parking space is available to the right hand side of the drive as you are looking at the property from the street.

Other things to note
If the booking is for 2 people but the sofa bed is required, there will be an additional charge of £10 per night. Please make us aware of this at the time of booking so that extra linen can be provided. The additional charge can be added to your bill or paid directly on arrival.

A peaceful cottage in North Queensferry with magnificent views onto the UNESCO Forth Rail Bridge. Only a short steep walk uphill to the train station to Edinburgh and ON the Fife Coastal walking path. Nestled between the three Forth bridges you have the option of train, car or walking across to South Queensferry.
Deep Sea World, The Wee Restaurant fine dining, Rankin's Cafe and the small Lighthouse Museum only a short walk away.

The space
The Studio is an open plan layout including a kitchen, dining and lounge area. The bedroom area has a double bed and on suite bathroom with a shower.
There is a foldout bed for a third person (which is then made up near the front door area).

Access is off Main Road at the Shoreland sign. Look for the double carport and follow the metal stairs to the left.
Stairs lead down past the main house door to the lower level and The Studio is straight ahead.

Parking is not allowed on the pavement outside the house but there is free roadside parking 2 minute walk up to Ferry Road and also at Battery Road Car Park (the lower side of the village)

There is a small pond in the garden - please watch any children.
The lower edge of the garden does not have a fence and there is a drop to sea level.

We have a friendly cat and small dog which you might see in the garden while visiting.
