Mariners’ Lodge is a spacious and modern three-bedroomed lodge with wrap-around private decking set in the grounds of an old manor house at St Minver Holiday Park, near Rock.
The lodge is situated in a quiet, corner plot which shows off the idyllic and picturesque area of the woodland park. It’s luxurious accommodation can sleep up to six guests in three bedrooms – master bedroom with queen sized bed, ensuite bathroom and wall-mounted TV, plus two twin bedrooms with an additional family bathroom. It has double glazing, central heating and a flame effect electric fire in the cosy open-plan lounge. The park itself is in a rural setting and there are facilities such as a site-office, shop, launderette, swimming pool and sauna all within a few minutes walk (plus bar, restaurant and entertainment should you wish - including for younger children too. The lodge is also within easy cycling and walking distance of Rock, Padstow (via the short passenger ferry ride from Rock), Daymer and Polzeath beaches. Polzeath is a perfect beach if you are feeling adventurous and want to try your hand at surfing with surfing schools on the beach, which is patrolled by RNLI so it is safe for younger children along with rock pools where they can happily play. Daymer is a stunningly beautiful beach for walking and picnics - and the famous St Enodoc golf course adjoins it. Padstow is a great area for boat trips or fishing trips, shopping and of course to visit the famous Rick Stein eateries and join the Camel Valley cycle trail.

Not only are there gorgeous beaches but also some fantastic coastal/scenic walks and bicycle rides (including the mentioned Camel Trail which passes the Camel Valley vineyard - which is well worth a visit), together with some wonderful golf courses (The Point at Polzeath & St Enodoc, Rock) and relaxing spas like The Moritz Hotel Cowshed Spa.

In recent years, the Padstow and Rock area have become a food lover’s paradise welcoming guests to its many fabulous restaurants which are also closeby to Mariners’ Lodge. These include the Mariners pub (run by the renowned Paul Ainsworth) in Rock and also Rick Stein's restaurants in Padstow. Nathan Outlaw’s restaurant can be found in Port Isaac, the area of which has become a visitors attraction since the filming of Doc Martin. If you wish for something more basic the local pub in St Minver is within walking distance too.

The space
The caravan was renovated in 2021 and provides a clean, fresh and modern accommodation.

The lounge has a large corner sofa with ample room to seat all guests and also a comfortable bucket chair near the gas fire a perfect spot for reading in this light and airy space.

For entertainment there is a 32" flatscreen smart television with access to freeview channels a DVD player with a selection of DVD's also we have a Playstation 3 with a selection of games and a DAB Radio.

We now have private Wi-Fi in the caravan.

On the book shelf you'll find a range of magazines and books to suit all ages.

In the games cupboard we have yet more things to do! Board games, Jenga, Cards etc.

The kitchen diner area has a fully equipped kitchen including a gas hob and oven, 4 slice toaster, electric kettle, microwave. fridge with freezer compartment, pots and pans, crockery, cutlery, hoover, 4 seat table and chairs.

Hallway from kitchen leads to bathroom and double bedroom.

Double bedroom has built in wardrobes with hangers electric panel heater. Double duvet is supplied with 2 pillows.

Twin bedroom has two small single beds which can be put together to form a small double, a built in wardrobe with hangers and above bed storage, electric panel heater. 2 x single duvets and 2 x pillows.

Bathroom has standard size pan, sink and shower with a heated towel rail.

Outside steps down from the caravan to a slabbed area with seating and table for 4 and a grass area for parking for up to 3 cars or ball games!

The Space
You’ll have the whole space (11.5 acres) to yourselves and your friends or family making your trip extra special and unique!

You will have private car parking, enough for up to 4 vehicles and an EV charging point (additional charges apply).

You and your guests will be sleeping in the 17th century former barn and piggery with plenty of character to delight. The building has been spilt into three wonderful self contained cottages;
Ash: a 1 double bedroom cottage with shower room, lounge and kitchen.
Beech: a two bedroom cottage with 1 double room and 1 kids farm themed room with its own full sized tractor style bunk beds, lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Oak: a 3 bedroom cottage sleeping 5 in one double room, one single room and one bunk bed room, lounge, kitchen and bathroom.
Each kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials including fridge/freezer, microwave, kettle, oven etc.
Each cottage has its own real log burner, TV’s and DVD players. We supply blankets for snuggling during the colder nights and have loads of books, puzzles and games to keep kids occupied!
We provide fresh white linen and soft fluffy towels together with Faith in Nature body wash and Cole and Lewis shampoo and conditioner.
We tried to think of the basics you would need and made sure they were in the cottages so you’ll also find:

Outside
You and your guests will have the sole use of 11.5 acres which includes an orchard, lambing barn, children’s play area, recreational areas with bbq spots and picnic benches. There is fantastic woodland walk leading down to the river (excellent for little explorers) and over 400 yards of fishing rights along the river Tamar.
Relax with a book by the river bank, cuddle the sheep or try your hand at fishing, you might be able to catch some salmon or trout. Your choice, you’ll have the whole farm!

When you’ve explored the area and are ready for the next thing to do we have a heated outside pool (5 meters long and 1.1 meters deep) to splash around in plus 3 bubbly hot tubs (we offer you a choice of 1 or 2 and provide you with their location so you can decide which are suitable for you and your guests! Hot tubs are amazing a destressing and star gazing! We also have small individual Weber bbqs, a smoker and larger BBQ available on request.

We also have a large wood fired pizza oven and can supply you with sourdough pizza dough balls (additional charges apply) so you can whip up some delicious pizzas. If you would rather we made these for you please enquire when booking!

This is a great opportunity to rent a fantastic holiday home (week commencing Saturday 17 July 2021) following a recent cancellation caused by a change in the holidaymaker's work commitments. The Clowance Estate is in an ideal location some 8 miles or so fromboth the north and south Cornish coasts with their fabulous beaches and with the added benefit of excellent on-site facilities.

The accommodation is in a Patio Home that sleeps 8 guests (subject to any UK Government restrictions permitting as currently due to happen from 21 June 2021) and gives access to all of the great facilities within the Clowance Estate and with its own wi-fi internet access. It has three bedrooms (two of which are double bedrooms {that can be used as twin-bedded rooms if required} with one of these having its own en-suite bathroom and with the other providing access to a further small bedroom with bunk beds). Additionally there is a very comfortable pull-down double bed in the living room and a further family bathroom with shower. Linen is provided and towels for use in the swimming pool can be obtained free of charge from the reception. Cots, high chairs and stair gates are allavailable at no extra charge.
We have been timeshare owners (two weeks) for more than 20 years on this Five Star Estate in West Cornwall and have always found it to be a very enjoyable and relaxing place to stay. All maintenance, linen and fuel charges are paid for and so it only remains for whoever uses the unit to turn up and have a wonderful time! The accommodation is well suited to provide a comfortable holiday for two families.

This Lodge lies within 97 acres of beautifully landscaped parkland, situated on the Clowance Estate in West Cornwall and it overlooks the parkland and lake. It gives you maximum privacy whilst offering excellent views of the magnificent scenery surrounding the Estate. The facilities include a well equipped gym, heated indoor pool and jacuzzi, sauna, pool table, lake with rowing boat, children's adventure playground, 9 hole golf course, tennis, putting, croquet, outdoor chess etc. There is a modern bar and restaurant with good value meals including Sunday carvery. There is entertainment in the bar area several evenings each week. Most of the sports/leisure facilities are free of chargebut there is a charge for the beauty treatments, tanning and golf. I have tried to describe the facilities accurately but from time to timethey may vary slightly. You will also be close to many of Cornwall's other attractions including the Tate St Ives, the Eden Project, the Minack Theatre (a natural outdoor amphitheatre overlooking the sea with afternoon and evening performances) and the National Maritime Museum. These are, of course, all in addition to the many wonderful beaches and coastal walks for which Cornwall is rightly famous. The nearest beaches are Gwithian on the north coast (7 miles) where there is a seal lookout point and Porthlevan with its quaint little harbour on the south coast (8.5 miles).

Clowance lies midway between St Ives and Falmouth on the outskirts of Praze-an-Beeble and it provides a good location for exploring everything that the area has to offer. It is some five miles or so from the A30 dual carriageway at Camborne and is well served by rail or air (from Newquay airport). This unit is in a woodland setting and it is maintained to a very high standard with an on-site restaurant and bar for those occasions when you just want to relax in comfortable surroundings without having to cook for yourselves or drive or rely on taxis.

THE GROUNDS
Longlands Farm is located just 20 minutes from Woolacombe Beach, voted the Best Beach in Britain, and 10 minutes from Combe Martin Beach. Longlands Farm consists of 17 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds, including a private lake for wild swimming and rowing, a private woodland with streamside walks, a cedar wood hot tub positioned on its own private deck overlooking the lake, an amenity field for lawn games and a yoga circle.

CEDAR WOOD HOT TUB
Positioned on its very own deck above the lake, immerse yourself in the warm waters of our 6 persons hot tub and enjoy the spectacular views over the lake, through the valley and down to the sea and the setting sun. The hot tub is situated on its own private terrace, in the bank above the lake. It also has its own changing room and outdoor cold shower.

Our hot tub can fit up to 6 people and each booking benefits from a complimentary one hour session on each day of your stay. See below for session times (highly recommended booking the sunset hour in advance, it’s a very popular experience).

As our hot tub is not a jacuzzi, the bubbles to enjoy are those in your prosecco. The warm water of our hot tub is calm, clear and quiet. Just perfect for relaxing and unwinding.

SAFARI LODGES (SLEEPS 6)
The large deck area at the front of the lodge has comfortable furniture (seating 6) so you can sit back and enjoy the amazing views down the valley towards the sea and watch the sun set during the day, or gaze at the star filled sky at night. The lodges look out onto one of the few Dark Sky Reserves in the world!

There is an even better view from the fire pit / BBQ platform. Each lodge has its own private BBQ area above the lodge. There you will find a Kadai fire bowl for use as a fire pit or for BBQing and a bench from which to enjoy the view.

Inside the lodge and at its heart is the wood burning stove. This will keep the lodge warm in colder weather, as well as provide a means of cooking, either on top as a hob or in its spacious oven compartment (there's even a slot for warming your plates).

The kitchen is fully equipped with a 6 seater dining table, cooking utensils, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery and glassware. There is also a sink and small cool box with ice bricks.

Snuggle into a warm bed and under a thick duvet as this is glamorous camping after all. Be lulled to sleep by the babble of the stream, the wind in the trees, or the patter of rain on the canvas roof. Hear the owls calling to each other. Breathe in that fresh air and sleep soundly. Sweet dreams.

Each lodge has a King Bedroom, a Twin Bedroom and a Double Cabin Bed, sleeping up to six people. Also provided are hot water bottles and extra blankets to ensure you are warm whatever the weather.

Each lodge has its own en-suite shower room and separate en-suite wash room with flushing loo and basin. Hot water for the shower, sink and basin is provided by a wood burning boiler, that also ensures the shower room is warm and cosy.

We provide all the bath linen you should need, plus a gorgeous range of natural aromatherapy bathroom products, including shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. Also provided are basic essentials such as loo paper and hand towels.

In the lodge lounge you will find a three seater leather vintage chesterfield sofa where you can enjoy board games whilst you bask in the warmth of the wood burner.

WILD SWIMMING IN THE LAKE
Be sure to bring your swimming costume or wetsuit and hop in our lake for a wild swim. Float along on your back and gaze up at the sky, or strike out across the lake for an invigorating work out. Good for mind, body and soul.

Our lake can also be used for boating and we have a skiff named ‘Little Bird’ (seats 2). Brush up on your rowing skills or just bob about looking at the wildlife that hugs the shoreline. Life jackets of varying sizes are provided.

Whilst Vrbo reference the Wild Swimming Lake as a "pool" in amenities, please note swimming facilities at Longlands Farm are a Natural, Wild Swimming Lake, not a man made swimming pool.

WANDER THROUGH THE WOODS
There are stream walks and nature trails in the woods, and lots of sticks with which to practice den building. Our streamside and woodland walks are very sheltered, so are excellent even on both sunny and rainy days. Bug hunt along the stream, discover animal tracks and perhaps even spot deer in the woods.

LAWN GAMES
We have a number of outdoor lawn games, all of which can be played on our special games terrace. There is a football goal on the football field and a basketball and netball hoop, plus giant chess and table tennis. So score a goal, hit a pin, shoot a hoop or check mate.

OTHER THINGS TO NOTE

In terms of check in, the hosts will be on site to handover the keys and answer any questions you may have on arrival.

Check out = 10am

In terms of check out, there is no formal process, you simply exit the lodge. Cleaners will enter the lodges at 10am to start cleaning.

PET FRIENDLY
Your pets will be in heaven in one of our North Devon Safari Lodges. With the sea a short drive away, curling up in front of the fire or relaxing in a shady spot on the gated decking will be a treat at the end of the day.

Maximum of 2 small dogs per lodge, £25 per dog.

Dogs to be kept on a lead at all times. We have cats, free range chickens and a duck that roam the land.

Located on the edge of the South Downs National Park near Brighton, Brambles Pool Terrace Spa is a private terrace on a south facing slope, with a series of log cabins and a large wooden gazebo with BBQ. The Spa cabin has a Finnish style hot tub and sauna, double bedroom with en suite. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a separate toilet and shower. Brambles is ideal for access to Brighton, Glyndebourne, Brighton Marina and Seven Sisters and a fabulous place for remote working.
The space
Brambles Pool Terrace Spa is on a south facing slope enjoying the sun all day and is completely private with views over the South Downs. The Spa Cabin has a large double bedroom with en-suite bathroom along with occasional chairs and coffee table. It also has a fabulous view across the trees of the valley.
The Spa Cabin also has a Finnish style hot tub (not a jacuzzi) heated to 38 deg C and a Finnish wood fired sauna both suitable for four people.
The second bedroom has four single beds with a courtesy curtain between the two pairs of single beds. The lounge / cinema room has two double sofa beds providing an area for relaxing indoors watching movies with a surround sound system. One of the sofa beds may be used as a double bed and bedding is provided for this.
The pool is heated (by solar panel), 16m x 8m with a beach entry at the west end and 3m deep water at the east end. The pool terrace has day beds, along with a large table seating up to 8 for alfresco dining and has a surround sound system for relaxing music. The large gazebo houses a brick built gas barbeque. Guests have access to 1/2 acre of grassed area for games, along with a golf practice net. There is ample parking for guests’ cars. If you need to get away and work remotely, there is a desk and swivel chair in the kitchen area providing a poolside working environment.
Guest access
Brambles stands in 4 acres of parkland and gardens on the edge of the South Downs. The pool terrace is a separate area over 50 metres away from the main house. The pool terrace elevation is above the main house, making it both secluded and private.
Other things to note
Brambles Pool Terrace Spa has wonderful accommodation yet unlike many venues has a significant outdoor experience with a swimming pool, hot tub deck overlooking the pool, sauna and daybeds. The swimming pool is heated by solar heating, as such the temperature of the pool cannot be guaranteed. There is a Finnish style hot tub (not a jacuzzi) set in a hot tub deck overlooking the pool, with access to the Finnish style wood fired sauna. The hot tub deck is West facing and is particularly warm in the late afternoon / early evening. The pool terrace is a sun trap and is warm / hot during the day. However, this is the UK and the evenings can be cool, so we would advise you to bring something warm to wear in the evening. We have provided blankets to help you stay warm when sitting outside in the evening while star gazing.
The pool is large, 200 m3 (equivalent to 400 domestic hot water tanks), heated by a solar water heater. In addition, there is a large gas heater 400,000 btu, ten times the size of a domestic gas boiler. If you require the pool water to be warmer, please consider the following:
• The temperature will increase by 1 °C approximately every 1.5 hours.
• The gas boiler uses approximately 10 m3 / hour.
Subject to gas prices, this would cost over £20 per degree increase in temperature, which would be an additional charge to your visit. The pool cover is put on overnight to reduce heat loss and water evaporation.

In order to be assured of a safe and enjoyable stay, please follow the safety rules listed below:
• ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING AT BRAMBLES
• Absolutely no electrical devices are allowed on the pool terrace outside of
the cabins (except Laptops and phones).
• No breakable plates, cups or glasses allowed on the pool terrace. Please use
the Perspex plates and glasses provided.
• Do not swim in the pool under the influence of alcohol
• Children must be supervised at all times, while at the pool side or in the
pool.
• Running, diving, swimming under water, ducking, wrestling, are not allowed.
• Lone swimming is not permitted.
• Take caution when using the barbeque.
• Do not enter restricted / unauthorised areas.
The pool has a beach entry at the west end with a gradient to 1 metre depth, where the line of white tiles demarks the step change of depth to 3 metres.
Please note that the pool terrace is not suited to people with limited mobility as there is a steep incline to access the pool terrace and steps into the cabins.
