A beautiful stone cottage is built in the heart of the lovely village of Badby. Built to a very high standard it uses natural material finishes where possible. It has two bedrooms with flexible sleeping layout (twin or super king to master bedroom), two bathrooms, comfortable lounge, fully fitted kitchen and sofa bed. The property benefits from being set out all on one floor, with underfloor heating throughout. Just a short stroll to a great country pub which serve real ales and home cooked food.
There is off road parking in the private courtyard plus additional parking in the extremely quiet cul-de-sac outside the cottage.

This isn't the fault or problem of Val though, and luckily didn't wake our daughter. Hopefully just a one off as we couldn't hear it the next night. - "The village is within easy access to numerous places of interest. We went to Bletchkey Park, Broughton Castle, Stowe House, Waddesdon Manor, Stoke Broure and Woodstock Town. All within a short car ride. We also enjoyed walking through Evenley Wood Gardens and several footpaths around the village and of course srveral stops at The Red Lion. The local shop/post office was handy for a quick coffee or loaf of bread. An idealic stay. We will certainly tell our friends about this little gem when we get back to New Zealand."

- "This is a really great property. It’s spacious and light and airy, with a lovely modern feel. The kitchen was really well equipped and all very clean. The location is really convenient - although we didn’t really leave and explore there’s plenty to do nearby. The hot tub was a hit! Lovely and warm and clean and the hot tub towels were a bonus as well! The lawn at the back of the property is huge and had the weather have been nicer we’d certainly have spent more time out there. My only ‘watch out’ for people booking would be that the wooden floors upstairs are a bit creaky and also because the bedrooms are on a mezzanine above the living areas, there’s a risk that early risers and late sleepers disturb those upstairs. Would definitely recommend!"

Southfield Studio (UK33821) was previously used as the owner’s art studio and features a large open plan living area complete with a cosy wood burner on the ground floor, with a large double bedroom on the first floor, whilst Southfield Cottage (29245) is nestled at the bottom of the owner’s property and enjoys a cosy living and dining room with log burner opening up to a lovely kitchen, upstairs is the well appointed bedroom and ensuite shower room. The nearby canal leads to one of three good pubs serving food in the village. There is also a range of shops, including a butchers and a post office. This stunning property has been restored to create a spacious five bedroom, single-storey, architect designed home which sympathetically blends in with its beautiful surroundings.

The impressive double height, open-plan living space with kitchen, dining and sitting room is the focal point of the house with a stunning kitchen, fully-equipped with areas of both standard and low height work tops, an accessible sink, ovens and hobs. Downstairs is a fully equipped kitchen and separate sitting room which overlooks the garden and fields beyond.

Upstairs is a vaulted bedroom with Juliet balcony and shower room.

The cottage has been lovingly restored using all the original materials including tongue and groove panelling, and decorated with Farrow and Ball paints and William Morris fabrics.

Delightful, cosy two bedroomed cottage arranged on two floors and offers many original features. Most of the building dates back to circa 1670 and what is now know as The Annexe housed the Pigs and Horses.
The Cottage offers off street parking for up to 2 vehicles and has the benefit of a lovely patio garden to the side of the cottage.

The Cottage is furnished for up to 4 guests and is arranged over 2 floors of which one twin bedroom is situated on the ground floor along with a shower room and on the first floor a King Size bedroom with en-suite toilet facilities and sitting room with kitchen area and dining for up to 4 people.

The Cottage offers parking for 1 or 2 cars and also has the benefit of a pretty side patio garden where you can have your morning cup of coffee or evening glass or wine.

The shower room is located on the ground floor along with the twin bed room. There is a master bedroom with King Size bed on the first floor and offers an en-suite toilet and wash hand basin.

Courtyard: cushioned seating area with Weber barbecue and fully stocked herb garden for residents’ use. Washing line pulls out from corner of house.

Bedroom 1: solid wood king size bed, large wardrobe with shelving, hanging space and drawers, low level chest of drawers, hairdryer, 32” flat screen TV. Phone chargers provided.

Bedroom 2: solid wood double bed with storage underneath. All-in-one wardrobe, mirror, shelving and drawer unit. Phone chargers provided.

Hallway: large storage bench with space for shoes and to hang up coats.

Garage: access can be provided on request for bike or motorbike storage.

Anything else: we provide the basics such as tea, coffee, sugar, milk, oil, salt and pepper. There are cleaning materials, plenty of toilet roll, tea towels and towels, flannels and bedding.

There’s a picnic basket / coolbag, plastic crockery and picnic blanket should you need it.

The kitchen is fully stocked including baking and serving dishes, range of glassware, including martini glasses and flutes.

There are plenty of blankets and throws for covering sofas and beds in case your four-legged friends like a comfy spot.

Barbecue firelighters and briquettes can be provided at extra cost, please message if you would like these.

Guest access
All of the space described above, the cottage is self-contained, detached and for sole usage of the occupier(s). There is a parking space outside the front reserved for guest use.

Other things to note
Local pub at the end of the street, doesn’t serve food but has a decent real ale and gin selection.

Great village shop and cafe a minute’s walk away, open 7am -9pm, well stocked and with post office / cash withdrawal available.

Village church 5 minutes walk away near to pocket park.

Lovely walks, either on the playing field or further afield through countryside. Details can be provided of suggestions.

Food delivered from Towcester or nearby includes pizza, Chinese and Indian. Plenty of decent restaurants within a 15 minute drive or taxi.

All major supermarkets deliver to the property.

Towcester is a 15 minute drive which has Waitrose, Tesco, Aldi, plus a town centre with shopping.

Milton Keynes, Banbury and Northampton are 20-25 minutes drive for larger shopping malls and areas.

Now a single storey two bedroom cottage it will comfortably accommodate four people. With a door that opens on to one of three courtyards, where guests can relax on the patio and use the BBQ, Otters Holt has an abundance of character.
